Litespeed Racing launches world’s lightest carbon fiber wheel

Los Angeles, California, Nov. 27, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Litespeed Racing, SEMA award winning wheel manufacture from Orange County California has released its all new full carbon fiber wheel, the “Carbon One” at the Los Angeles International Auto Show this week.

The revolutionary Carbon One wheel weighs in at a feather light 14.2 pounds for 20X9.5 inch, making it the lightest 20 inch wheel in the world. The secret to its ultra lightweight is in its manufacturing process. Not all carbon fiber products are manufactured in the same way. Litespeed Racing chose the lightest, strongest and most expensive manufacturing technique, which is normally reserved for aerospace and military grade carbon fiber components. The Carbon One wheel is made from prepreg, “dry” carbon fiber and is cured under extreme heat and pressure inside of an Autoclave. The prepreg “dry” process is different from standard carbon fiber which is made by applying a wet resin to the raw carbon fiber sheet. This dry process is much more precise and is very strong, which allows for lighter and stronger carbon fiber parts, that can also withstand higher temperatures.

Lightweight wheels have many advantages, from improving acceleration, braking and handling to even improving fuel efficiency. Professional race car driver Scott Birdsall recently used Litespeed Racing wheels on his world record setting Pikes Peak race. Birdsall commented “These Litespeed Racing wheels are the lightest that I have every held”. In addition to being lightweight, the carbon fiber construction also makes the wheels very stiff. 3rd party testing has found the Carbon One wheel to be the stiffest wheel that they have ever tested. But Litespeed Racing wheels are not only for race cars. Street driven cars can benefit from them too. They have been tested according to VIA and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) protocols, which includes testing that simulates a wheel being hit by another car and a test that simulates hitting a large pothole.

About Litespeed Racing

BENDER GETS THREE SECOND PLACE FINISHES FOR SEXTON GATLIN RACING

(Lakeside, CA, November 26, 2021) After his win in the prestigious “5th Annual Western States Lightning Sprint Car Championship” at the Bakersfield Speedway on November 16th, red-hot AJ Bender of San Diego, California reeled off three straight second place finishes at the “Hangtown 100” at the Placerville Speedway.  That gives Bender two wins, three second place finishes, a third and a fifth in seven races with Sexton Gatlin Racing.

Drivers accumulated points in qualifying, heats and preliminary main events the first two nights at Placerville.  Those points determined the driver’s starting positions for the beginning of Saturday’s program, which featured two qualifiers, two B mains and a 30 lap A main finale.

Two days after Bakersfield, Sexton Gatlin Racing showed up at Placerville with a contingent of four drivers.  Father Brent Sexton, his sons Grant & Dalton and Bender represented the team on the track.  In addition, they had former racer Seth Kramer serving as crew chief for the high-status three-night race.

Night 1, Thursday, November 18

Bender opened things in a strong way for SGR when he was second fast qualifier out of 32-cars that participated in time trials when he clocked in at 12.624 on the red-clay quarter mile.  Grant, the youngest member of the Lakeside, California based team, was fourth quick at 12.722.  After flying up to the race, Brent and Dalton got caught in traffic on Interstate 5 and missed qualifying.  In fact, they were changing into their fire suits in the car on the way to the track and just made it in time to start the heat races.

After his impressive showing in qualifying, Bender turned in a nice performance in the second heat race taking the win after starting sixth. Dalton was in the third heat and due to not getting a qualifying lap, he started at the back of the pack in ninth and finished sixth. The final heat race matched Grant and Brent against each other.  Grant did the same as Bender did in heat race #1.  He started sixth, drove through the field and picked up the win.  Brent started in ninth and drove all the way to a third-place finish.

Bender, Grant and Brent all earned tickets straight into the main event.  Dalton had to contest the B feature but did not secure one of the transfer spots.

For the opening night 25-lap main event, Grant, and Bender shared row #2 for the start.  Brent was coming from the inside of row five.  To say Brent’s main event race was a short one is an understatement.  Coming down for the green flag to start the race, several cars bunched up near the front of the pack and the car starting next to Brent clobbered him causing both to flip without getting a lap in.  Brent was uninjured, but his race was over before it started with an 18th place finish.

Grant was running fourth early in the main when he bicycled and went over the cushion in turn one before coming to a stop.  The teen restarted at the back and a few laps later met with the same fate on the same part of the track.  He restarted at the back again and tipped it over, ending his night with a frustrating 16th place finish.

Bender flew the SGR colors and battled hard for a very impressive second-place finish.

Night #2, Friday, November 18

The second night of the “Hangtown 100” saw 34-cars check into the pits.  Grant, who qualified fourth on Thursday, went two spots better on Friday with the second fastest time of 12.650.  Bender was right behind in third with a 12.657.  Dalton made it three SGR cars in the top 10 when he timed in seventh best at 12.789.  Brent’s lap of 13.236 was 20th.

For the second night in a row, Grant started in sixth in his eight-lap heat.  This time he drove forward to finish second.  Like Grant, Bender started sixth in his heat for the second time in 24 hours. Like his teenage teammate, he brought the #2J home in second.  Dalton was in the same heat and placed sixth.  Brent took advantage of his outside front row starting spot to win the last heat race.

All four SGR cars started the main event.  This time Bender and Grant shared row three.  Brent was coming from the ninth spot and Dalton was coming from 16th.  A bizarre scenario played out on a lap four restart, and it included the two Sexton siblings.  Grant was running fourth when the car in third hit a rut in turn one knocking him up the track directly in front of Grant. With nowhere to go, Grant clipped the car’s rear will and turned over.  Seconds later as the cars were slowing down for the red flag, Dalton got upside down in turn three.  Grant was able to get his car back to the pits quickly.  In the time it took to get Dalton’s car off the track, the crew repaired Grant’s car and he returned to action.

Once the green flag restarted the race, Grant dazzled the crowd driving all the way back to a thrilling fourth place finish.  Just ahead of him, it looked as though Bender was going to finish third.  However, when the second-place car went wide coming off turn four, Bender pounced to his inside, snatched the position away and finished second.  Brent ended up finishing ninth and that was nine spots better than he placed on Thursday night.

Night #3, Saturday, November 20

Unfortunately, the damage Dalton’s car suffered in Friday’s A main was too severe to be fixed.  Thus, he was unable to compete on Saturday night.  The show started off with the top 20 in points split into two qualifier races.  The top five from each qualifier went into the main event.  The remainder of the cars went to the B main.

Being high point man from the first two nights, Bender started on the pole in the first qualifier and bagged the win sending him to the A finale.  Grant started fourth but finished sixth meaning he would have to go to one of the two last chance B mains.  Brent started and finished seventh in his qualifier sending him into the other last chance B main.

The two B mains proved good for father and son.  Grant started on the pole to win the first one.  Brent started on the outside of the first row in the second B and he also took the win. The victories sent each into the main event.

For the 30-lap finale, Bender started on the outside of the third row.  Grant started 11th and Brent started 12th.  Unfortunately, Grant’s weekend came to a premature end when he blew a hole in the header on the eighth lap.

Bender bided his time and slowly worked his way towards the front.   He took the fourth spot on lap 16 and three laps later he moved into third.  It looked like third was where he was going to finish, but driving his heart out, he caught the second-place car on lap 23.  From there, he engaged in a fierce battle for the runner up spot that included wheel rubbing.  By the time he secured second, it was too late to catch the leader and he finished second for the third night in a row.  Brent crossed the line in 12th

“Running second all three nights kind of sucks to be honest,” Bender lamented after the race.  “I feel we were good and could have raced Logan (winner Logan Seavey).  I just did not get through traffic as good as he did.”

SGR will get this weekend off, before heading to the Imperial Valley Raceway for the POWRi Lucas Oil Southwest Lightning Sprint Car Series “Lettuce Cup” on December 3rd and 4th.

Teenager Grant will be the first SGR driver to be back in action after the early December weekend at Imperial when he wheels one of the Hyper house cars in three different classes at the “36th Annual Tulsa Shootout” from December 29th through January 1st. The event takes place inside the massive SagNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is the biggest micro sprint race in the world and will be available to race fans around the globe on https://www.floracing.com/.

Even though the team is still competing in 2021, plans are already underway for another busy season in 2022. Three Unique Ways to Save and Make Money with your Car(s)

Photo by Peter Broomfield on Unsplash

Every once in a while, it’s good practice to spend some time addressing your finances and discovering ways to reduce spending and increase savings. Similar to your rent, mortgage, or utilities, your car can be a significant cost annually. Fortunately for you, there are plenty of ways to reduce costs and put them towards future projects, activities, vacations, or your savings account, but today we’ll focus on some of the more unconventional methods of saving and using your car as a financial asset.

Unique Auto Insurance Policies

Regardless of where you live, complying with your states law’s regarding car insurance is mandatory, however, there are ways to reduce your rates and premiums based on your liabilities, and how you use your vehicles. There are more specific insurance plans that offer discounts and better rates based on the general use of a vehicle. A great example of this would be infrequently driven cars due to the pandemic, coinciding with working remotely. A good question to ask yourself in this scenario would be “how much can I save on car insurance on a car I rarely drive?”, and applying this to a more cost-efficient insurance plan. The question itself helps provide its own solution, and one would quickly discover savings of around 30% annually on a simple policy change. A unique insurance plan such as this could also go beyond working remotely and also be applied to other less-used vehicles you possess to provide even more savings.

Renting Out Your Car

Alike the aforementioned point of rarely driven car insurance, you could also inquire about renting your car out. This method could be perfect for individuals who work from home or spend a lot of time flying to different states or abroad for work or travel and wish to keep their existing insurance plan. This is easily done securely through the means of apps and websites. These apps will often provide their insurance or work with your existing insurance provider to rent your car out safely and securely with minimal risk to your vehicle. They also offer protections such as cleaning and detailing in the event of mistreatment by a customer. All in all, this method provides a very hands-off approach to using your vehicle as an asset to generate money.

Ride-Sharing

Another uncommonly used method to save or even generate money is ride-sharing. Ride-sharing is essentially just car-pooling but nowadays can be a bit more advanced and involved. Typically, this will be done through an app, website, or social media by posting a listing and having others pay to ride along in your vehicle for the journey. This method can be fantastic additional income for those who travel a lot for work or leisure and will easily cover the costs of gas. Ride-sharing also offers the opportunity to meet new people, and allow for more enjoyable drives which in turn could yield additional health benefits as well as connections for resumes and opportunities. There is a caveat, however, in that some people may just be unpleasant, or attempt to avoid paying, but if you use secure apps, they will provide protections such as rating systems and background information to prevent instances of this sort of behavior.

Conclusion

When it comes to methods to save money and use your car as an asset, one may not consider these previously mentioned methods and miss out on the potential extra benefits of car ownership. It’s equally likely that these methods may not even be beneficial to you depending on circumstance, or work situations but as you continue throughout your ever-changing lives, simply knowing about these options could provide benefits to you and your family in the future, and help pave the way to a better life.

Jimco Racing to Sponsor 2021 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400

Jimco vehicles on display at 2021 Mint 400 Off-Road Festival in downtown Las Vegas

Jimco Racing will return to the 2021 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 as a supporting sponsor of the Great American Off-Road Race, Mint 400 officials announced today. Jimco’s all-conquering off-road vehicles, a mainstay of the event, will not only be competing during the race in Primm, but will also be on display as part of the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas before the race.

“Jimco vehicles have been a mainstay of the Mint 400 for nearly half a century,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “We’re excited to once again be able to welcome Jimco Racing as a partner of this year’s BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400, and we look forward to watching Jimco builds compete in our premier race classes with some of the most competitive teams in the sport, including the Unlimited Truck class with former overall Mint 400 winner Justin Lofton.”

Founded by Navy engineer Jim Julson in 1975, Jimco Racing has evolved from crafting hobby-level, one-off race cars into to an award-winning one-stop shop for professional racing teams. The first Jimco chassis was a class 9, 1200cc single seat car for both father and son to campaign. With what was at first just another race team quickly became more. With the sleek lines of the car and the success on the race track, Jimco soon had a following of both good drivers and talented fabricators and mechanics.

Robbie Pierce, who bought Jimco in 2018 from the Julson family, has been around the off-road racing industry for decades. He’s owned other race component manufacturing businesses that were suppliers to Jimco, such as Mastercraft Safety and Impact Racing Products. Pierce is also an Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee for his innovations and commitment to safety in off-road motorsports, and also developed mass-production methods for welding titanium golf club heads and aerospace components. Pierce’s experience isn’t just in fabrication and safety equipment, however; he’s also a competitor racing a Trophy Truck (a 900-horsepower, tube-chassis, off-road racing machine).

The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1968 when it was first run. Initially, the race was a public relations event promoting the Mint Hotel’s annual deer hunt. but what started out as a hotel promotion soon grew into a legitimate desert race. Since its 2008 revival, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has only gotten bigger and more prestigious, and deeper fields every year only make it tougher to win.

This year’s BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 will take place from December 1-5 in Las Vegas. More information on the event for racers and spectators is available at TheMint400.com, or follow the event on Facebook and Instagram. For more information on Jimco, visit www.jimcoracing.com.

SEAVEY WINS HANGTOWN 100 FINALE – ROOKIE GASPER WINS CLS CHAMPIONSHIP

David Gasper and crew after sewing up the 2021 CLS championship.

(Upland, CA, November 24, 2021) Logan Seavey won the three-night battle and his second main event in the California Lightning Sprint Car Series/Bay Cities Racing Association co-sanctioned “Hangtown 100” last Saturday night at the Placerville Speedway. At the same time, rookie David Gasper of Santa Barbara won the eight-month, 17 race war and was crowned 2021 California Lightning Sprint Car Series champion.

Driving the Kittle Motorsports/Gasper Racing/Valley Precision Products/#18, the 16-year-old became the 18th different champion in the 27-season history of the CLS. Not only did he win the season long CLS championship, but earlier in the week he sewed up the title in the annual four-race CLS vs BCRA “Civil /War Series.” In addition, he is the CLS “Rookie of the Year.”

The night started out with a pair of 10-car, 12-lap qualifying races featuring the top 20 in points from the first two nights. The odd number positions were in heat qualifier #1 and the even numbers were in qualifier two. The races were lined straight up by points with the top five finishers in each moving into the final night main event. Drivers finishing sixth on back in the qualifiers, went to a pair of B mains where they were joined by the drivers who were not among the top 20 in points.

San Diego’s A.J. Bender, who finished second in the main events on the first two nights, was the high-point driver and he won the first qualifier over Palmdale’s Eric Greco, Dominic Del Monte of Gardena, Jeff “Ponch” Dyer of Yucca Valley and 14-year-old Braden Chiaramonte of El Cajon.

Seavey, who was fresh off a win in the USAC National Sprint Car Series “Western World Championship” the week before at the Arizona Speedway, and Gasper were both in the second qualifier. Seavey captured the victory over Bellingham, Washington’s Alex Lewis. Gasper, Waterford’s Dakota Albright, and Langley, British Columbia’s Levi Klatt took the other two transfers.

The final 12 tickets to the 30-lap finale would be determined in two B main events. The first of the two went to Lakeside teenager Grant Sexton. Chris Crowder of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who won the main event the night before, track specialist Scott Kinney of Citrus Heights, Placerville local Brandon Leedy, James Turnbull of Indio and Rancho Cordova’s Craig Holsted nailed down the other transfer spots.

Emulating his son’s performance in the first B main, Lakeside’s Brent Sexton came home first in B main #2. Chasing the Tennessee native across the line in the final five transfer spots were Danika’Jo Parker of Oakdale, Doug Nunes of Kingsburg, Freemont’s Greg Dennett, and the Placerville duo of Tony Fedota and Tyler Gedes.

Gasper came into the final race of the year with a comfortable 76-point lead over Greco in the championship point standings. His advantage got a further boost when he was off the pole for the 30-lap main event. Del Monte was alongside on the front row. Row two featured Lewis and Greco. Seavey manned the inside of the third row and had Bender alongside. Row four featured Dyer and soon to be first time BCRA champion Albright.

When the race began Gasper was the first to arrive in turn one with Del Monte, Greco, and Lewis in tow. By the end of the fifth lap, Gasper was a half straightaway in front of the competition. Seconds later the first halt in the race, that ended up being plagued by yellow and red flags, took place. Chiaramonte, who was having a tough week, saw his night end when he flipped in turn four. Simultaneously there was a three-car tangle in turn two. All drivers were okay, and the race resumed a few minutes later.

When the race restarted Gasper immediately put some distance on the remainder of the field. The brilliant blue #18 had things fully under control and the championship was in his grasp, but suddenly disaster struck. One of the cars near the back of the pack slid to a stop in turn one bringing out a yellow. Gasper tried to drive around him on the top and stopped for one or two seconds. He quickly got going again and was driving back to his lofty position at the front when officials informed him that he would have to go to the rear for stopping. When Gasper went to the back, that gave a glimmer of hope to Greco’s title aspirations as the former leader was going to have to deal with a lot of cars and chaos at the rear.

Del Monte was the new leader and Greco was second. Seavey, who had moved up to the third-place spot before the yellow, immediately picked up the pace on the restart. Running the wide line, he steered the John Taylor/Bullet Motorsports/Eldorado Landscape/Adco Driveline and Custom Exhaust/Jake Morgan Graphics/Superior Machine Works #51 past Greco for second as they came off turn four on lap ninth. Keeping his momentum up on the quarter-mile red clay oval, he drove by Del Monte for the lead on the same spot on the track one lap later.

Chasing his first BCRA title, Albright moved by Lewis and into the fourth spot on lap 12. Two laps later he lost a battle with the turn four cushion and spun. Like CLS point leader Gasper earlier in the race, he had to go to the back.

Greco, who tied Bender for the most wins in the CLS this year with four, got past Del Monte for second and was doing a good job of staying close to leader Seavey. However, with three laps to go, he had to deal with Bender. Using the outside line, Bender had the #2J flying and became engaged in a fierce battle that included some wheel banging for the second-place spot. That battle eventually went to Bender, but it was too late to catch Seavey who took the checkered flag with an eight-length advantage. Bender placed second for the third straight night, with Greco, Kinney and Lewis rounding out the top five.

Kinney was the race “Hard Charger” finishing fourth after starting 15th.

After the race, Seavey jumped out of his car and began looking under the rear end. “I pushed on the brakes real hard to avoid a crashed car,” the happy winner told the crowd. “I ripped one of my brake mounts off and I could feel it dragging on the ground. I was just hoping we could make it to the end. John (car owner John Taylor) built one of the nicest Lightning Sprints in the world and he called and asked me to drive. Obviously, I was not going to tell him no. It was a really fun weekend and I won two races.”

Gasper’s 76-point lead going into the finale was whittled down to 29-points at the end. Greco ended up second in the final tally and was followed by Turnbull, Dyer and Bender in the top five. The second five in the season ending standings was comprised of Del Monte, “Rockstar Jon Robertson of Torrance, Chino’s Pat Kelley, Aiden Lange of Lakewood and five time series champion Bobby Michnowicz of Oak Hills.

“It was a long season,” Gasper said after getting out of his car. “We never did anything in circles (never raced on oval tracks), so it was a whole learning curve. A lot of people helped us out throughout the year. I cannot thank them enough. Kittle Motorsports, man, I cannot thank them enough. A lot of opportunities they have given to me. Of course, my mom and dad for everything they do. My Dad working in the garage all night getting this thing dialed in. My mom scheduling rooms at hotels and taking up shifts to be able to afford this. If it wasn’t for Rowdy and Dwain Granger having the set up right for qualifying and races, I don’t think I would be up here without them, so I cannot thank them enough.”

“My dad won a couple of car owner championships with me driving,” new BCRA king Albright said after the race. “So, it is an honor to join (to join him as a champion). We had a good run going. Just drove to hard in on the cushion in three and lost fourth. I thought we could have gotten up there a little higher. Congratulations to Logan, A.J. and Eric.”

The CLS would like to thank 2021 series sponsors Hoosier Tires, T Shirts by Timeless, TJ Forged Racing Wheels, and Walker Performance Filtration. If you or your company would like to become part of the series, please call Alex Grigoreas at (909) 437-3170.

Federico Gutiérrez to make Rette Jones Racing driving debut in Thanksgiving Classic

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: The 2021 racing season for Rette Jones Racing (RJR) isn’t complete just yet.

The organization will field an entry for Federico Gutiérrez, the younger brother of Rette Jones Racing development driver Max Gutiérrez in Saturday afternoon’s Late Model Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National (N.C.) Motorsports Park (SNMP).

Gutiérrez’s debut in the Pro Late Model event will mark his first experience in a Motorsports sanctioned event in the United States.

The 15-year-old has been successfully building a career in his home country of Mexico, where currently he stands second in the Truck Mexico Series of NASCAR Peak Mexico Series presented by Telcel championship standings with two races remaining the weekend of December 4, 2021.

Gutiérrez will be guided by Rette Jones Racing co-owner and former ARCA championship crew chief Mark Rette.

The Mooresville, N.C.-based team started off the year with monstrous results when Max Gutiérrez scored his first ARCA Menards Series East victory in the season-opening race at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway in February.

“I’m very excited but also a little nervous at the same time,” said Federico Gutiérrez. “I am very thankful for this opportunity to compete in a Late Model at Southern National this weekend. This type of racing is very new to me, but I feel like I have taken the necessary steps to prepare myself for a successful racing debut in the USA.”

BOLSADX.Mx, the trusted site in Mexico to buy and sell Crypto will serve as the primary partner of the team’s No. 30 Ford Fusion for the Nov. 27 race.

In addition to BOLSADX.Mx, Distributed Ledger Inc. (DLI), TOUGHBUILT, Jimmy Morales Escuderia TELMEX | TELCEL, TekNekk, Ford Performance, Goodridge Fluid Transfer Systems, Jones Group Demolition and Abatement and JRi Shocks join the team as partners this weekend.

“It is a challenge and I will do my best to get a good result in the United States,” added Gutiérrez. “This weekend would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors.”

Joining Federico Gutiérrez for his first race in the United States will be his brother Max who will serve not only as a mentor for the 125-lap race, but a driving coach.

“It is going to be a proud moment for our family to see Fico racing in the USA,” Max Gutiérrez said. “We haven’t set any goals or expectations for this weekend. If he can make improvements from the start of the race weekend to the checkered flag, it will be a successful race for all of us.

“I look forward to seeing this opportunity be the start of even better things for my younger brother professional racing in the USA in the future.”
For Mark Rette, the opportunity to lead Federico Gutiérrez in his Pro Late Model Series debut is another important chapter for Rette Jones Racing.

“We’re all racers, but this is going to be a weekend full of emotions I think, particularly for the Gutiérrez family,” added Rette. “Fico is determined to get to work and make the most of his Pro Late Model debut at Southern National and I think he’ll be able to showcase his ability with the strong piece we’re bringing him.

“Our hope is that the Gutiérrez brothers will be a part of the Rette Jones Racing family for years to come and I’m optimistic that we go to Southern National and Fico can turn some heads. His biggest cheerleader will be sitting right next to me on the pit box with his brother Max.

“He did a lot for our race team this year, including putting us in Victory Lane. This is our last race of the 2021 season and we’d love to close it out with the same vibe that we started off the year with Max at New Smyrna.”

New Racing-Themed Casino Games

Photo by Glenn Carstens-Peters on Unsplash

There are plenty of race-themed online casino games, and unlike in the past, they aren’t just about fancy fast cars. The new race-themed games deliver realistic experiences and are big on the competition.

They appeal to gamblers interested in the money and those simply looking to have some fun. Here are a few of the best racing-themed games from top casino games providers.

  1. Premier Racing

Premier Racing is one of the leading virtual horse racing games by Microgaming. It brings the excitement of thoroughbred horse racing right to your fingertips. The graphics are modern and ultra-realistic, and there are plenty of details to make the game unforgettable.

The actions of this game happen at the Birchfield, which is a beautiful yet fictional racetrack. It is in the countryside and features a huge outdoor grandstand and grassy lanes.

At the start of the game, you get a glimpse of the track and its conditions. Eight horses line up on the left of the screen, and you can find detailed information about them, including the jockeys’ ratings and previous wins.

The odds for every jockey and horse pair are listed next to them. You can bet on as many horses as you wish. Even though the game only comes with two types of bets, it is exciting from the beginning to the end. The cameras allow you to view entire laps, and every race lasts approximately 40 seconds.

  1. Good to Go

The car-themed slot from Microgaming has five reels, three rows, and nine pay lines. It is a racing lover’s paradise as it brings you super-fast sports cars and sound effects to match.

A few Formula One cars are working in the Gamble mode. You may be able to quadruple or double your winnings. In addition to the card-guessing mini-game, you also benefit when there are five cars on an active pay line. It can yield up to 5x your stake.

The icons closest to the main plot have higher ratings than Royals. You can swap them with Wilds. If you align 5 Wilds, the system will release a static jackpot amounting to 5000x of your wager. If you have at least three scatters, you can trigger extra rounds. The Scatter will stay in position to help gather more free hands.

  1. Highway Kings

This is a product of Playtech, and most of its focus is on truck races. It is basically a fruit-themed slot, but it comes with some pretty impressive elements. The fruits are associated with differently colored trucks and a gas pump and gasoline container.

They offer between 2 and 10.000 coins for combinations of 1 to 5 symbols on up to 20 pay lines. Although this slot has no free spins, its vibe is generally energizing and captivating.

You can set the stakes between 0.01 and 1 coins per line. The maximum number of coins to play with per hand is nine. The game is highly reliant on Wilds appearing on the middle reels. It mostly plays from the left. Also, you can benefit from Scatters even when they don’t award extra hands. They can trigger the Scatter Pays mode.

  1. Formula X

This progressive jackpot slot has a motorsports theme. It has 25 pay lines and five reels, allowing you to bet with various combinations. A random event can turn you into an instant millionaire.

To start, pick between 0.01 and 250 coins for wagering in one hand. Generally, higher risks translate to higher rewards. High rollers have better chances of winning the jackpot. This is one of the best racing-themed slots for them.

There is a detailed set of icons that represent a racing track and everything that comes with it. They include a driver, Michelin tire, and a steering wheel. Also, there is a lady with the Scatter sign. It can trigger up to 25 extra games.

  1. Racing for Pinks Slot

This slot brings you 243 ways to get some money. It is packed with action and has lots of fantastic features and payouts. If you are new to the world of online racing, this slot will make it easy to take advantage of modifiable cars in three rows and five reels.

Its user interface is modern and easy to navigate. Before the reels strat spinning, you need to choose a team. For the rest of the game, you may cheer for blue or red. You can collect all corresponding letters and keep an eye for the racing ends if you wish to enter the main event, also known as Bonus Race.

If your car winds up the opponent, you will be transported to the next level with a better Multiplier value. You can scoop up to five games and claim up to 175x your stake in the Multipliers. Find 3+ Scatters since they may take you to the batch of 30 additional rounds in the game.

  1. Green Light Slot

This slot is a product of RealTime Gaming. It puts you into the shoes of some of the world’s best drivers, and your goal is to win new trophies. The gameplay is fantastic. It is much simpler than other racing games. You can get a winning combination with less than three similar symbols.

Green Light is a 20-pay line slot, and the Driver icon is its wild card. The Green Light symbol acts as the scatter. Before starting your race, you need to adjust your wager.

Click on the ‘Lines’ arrow to pick the number of active pay lines and then ‘Bet’ to increase or reduce your bet per line. Your coin size may range from 0.01 to 0.25. Start the game by clicking ‘Spin’ and click ‘Auto Play’ to turn the reels for a specified number of times with no interruptions.

You can choose between five cars, and they will start racing. You may win 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 Free Games for the 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st place. The Wild Driver Green Light Bonus Game is an exciting experience as well. It replaces all paying icons allowing you to record bigger wins.

Rapid Evolutions and Innovations in Electric Cars

Photo by Samuele Errico Piccarini on Unsplash

Inside the ever-changing market of cars, Electric vehicles are heralding the next era in automotive technologies. It’s becoming more and more likely that cars solely powered on gas will become a relic of the past in our lifetimes. However, the evolutions in electric car technologies don’t just change the way cars are fueled; it also extends to smart automotive solution development including intuitive autopilot, reactionary safety systems, advanced batteries, and computer-based diagnostics.

Automated Driving

In today’s modern age, the phrase electric vehicles (EVs) coincide with the thought of automation. It’s no longer just about making a vehicle run without gas, and now about making it run without gas and the ability to operate automatically. The current most notorious implementation of pseudo automatic driving is none other than Tesla’s autopilot. Although Tesla’s autopilot has been proven as a means to drive completely automatically, the current consumer iterations require the driver to still be behind the wheel and fail to provide a completely automatic experience.

Check here to learn more about the start and growth of Electric Vehicles.

Despite gaining the greatest number of headlines and criticism (justifiably so), Tesla isn’t the only big innovator in the EV scene. We’ll likely see all sorts of software development groups such as GBKSOFT helping pave the way forward in developing innovative technologies and applications for automatic driving systems in the coming years. As the literal driving and motion parts of automation have been mostly solved, the next innovations will come in the form of implemented software. These implemented software and applications will aid in collision detection, navigation, cloud-based systems, and communication with other vehicles.

Lightning Speed Safety

Following suit with the previously mentioned software and applications is the opportunity for the implementation of even faster safety measures. A human’s reaction time can only be so fast and proper innovations to the software inside EVs can easily increase the safety of driving to an insurmountable amount. These systems will include sensors that can react to many different situations and provide many means of crisis solutions such as:

  • Reactive Seatbelt fastening and tightening
  • Automatic braking systems
  • Predictive calculations to avoid collisions
  • On the fly repositioning to protect the driver
  • Lane-keeping assistance
  • Instant distress and medical emergency contact
  • Communication with other vehicles to detect hazards
  • Blind Spot Sensors

It’s nice to imagine a world with every vehicle on the road having access to smart automotive solutions just previously mentioned. We quickly would see a dramatic reduction in car-related deaths and driving would be just as safe as flying a plane. All the aforementioned safety features already exist; it is just a matter of software implementation and distribution along with adoption from car companies. Automotive software providers have now introduced zonal architecture, which simplifies control units, enables continuous updates, and plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive electronics. Fortunately, it is not far off and most new vehicles could have these systems as early as 2025.

Computer-Aided Maintenance and Repair

Whether through general use or collisions, every car will need to be repaired and maintained. According to Andrew Burnham of Argonne National Laboratory, maintenance and repair costs of EVs is between 11 and 33% lower than your standard gas-powered alternative. The are many reasons for the reduced cost including the fact that electric engines are way less abrasive than combustion engines; as well as user errors such as failing to check and maintain appropriate oil levels simply don’t exist on EVs.

These aforementioned repair cost savings is also aided by computer-based diagnostics implemented inside EVs. These systems allow for a much more simplified approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting car-related malfunctions, which in turn lowers the overall cost of maintenance and labor hours spent on repair. Simple ambiguous warnings such as the ‘check engine’ light will instead be replaced with detailed reports and information about the exact issue the vehicle is having.

Advanced Batteries

Photo by Waldemar Brandt on Unsplash

Another big boon to the innovation of EVs is the advancement of battery technology. Aside from the obvious which is having no fuel costs tied to your EV, recent battery advancement provides a solid foundation for increasing the performance of everything inside and out of EVs. A hallmark of better batteries is getting the raw throughput required to match and even surpass the horsepower of combustion-based vehicles, on top of having that energy available to you at the drop of a hat. That, coupled with innovative smart battery software to optimize power in the most efficient way possible provides unparalleled quality of life and ease of use for any EV you own or will own in the future.

Key Takeaways

The future is now, and it’s evolving faster than ever. Electric cars will certainly become a mainstay in society and the software innovations along with it will offer amazing benefits to everyone, pedestrian or driver alike. Automatic driving, insane safety measures, ease of repair, and smart battery systems are all things to look at and look forward to in the world of electric automobiles. The effects of these innovations have yet to reverberate in the echoes of history but it will undoubtedly be seen as one of the next best steps forward in modern society.

Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) Classic Sebring 12 Hour Set for High-Speed on-Track and in-Air Return Next Week at Sebring International Raceway

  • Sixth Running of Classic Sebring 12 Hour, Pistons and Props, presented by the Alan Jay Automotive Network, December 1 – 5, at Sebring International Raceway
  • Full Weekend Also Features Season-Ending HSR Sebring Historics to Determine 2021 WeatherTech Sprint, Stoner Car Care Global GT, Sasco Sports International/American Challenge and B.R.M. Endurance Challenge Champions

SEBRING, Florida (November 24, 2021) – The Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) Classic Sebring 12 Hour, Pistons and Props, makes a high-speed return on the track and in the air next week when Sebring International Raceway’s illustrious sports car racing history and patriotic aviation heritage will be honored for the sixth time, December 1 – 5, at HSR’s season-ending event.

Officially titled the HSR Classic Sebring 12 Hour, Pistons and Props, presented by the Alan Jay Automotive Network, the five-day celebration features historic and vintage sports car racing and a Friday “fly-in” and weekend display of equally awe-inspiring military and civilian aircraft from the last half century and World War II era.

The HSR Classic Sebring honors the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring sports car race and the facility’s rich aviation history. Hendricks Field was a World War II era civil and military air field on which the famous 12-hour sports car race has been run for nearly 70 years.

The aviation component of the 2020 HSR Classic Sebring 12 Hour was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the planes and their pilots are back this year with some truly priceless treasures flying in to join the event for the first time.

Several four-wheel competitors also arrive in Sebring set to add more race wins to already successful 2021 HSR campaigns.

A battle to watch will be in Run Group B where avid racer and Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley is a favorite to end a run of three-straight HSR Classic Sebring victories by Gray Gregory and his 1974 No. 26 Chevron B26 prepared by Phil Reilly and Co.

Farley competes in his RM Motorsports-prepared 1978 No. 198 Lola T298 (pictured at top), which is appropriately powered by a Ford Cosworth engine similar to the powerplant in Gregory’s Chevron. Farley drove the Lola to an HSR WeatherTech Sprint race victory last April at the HSR Mitty at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. He also picked up an HSR B.R.M. Endurance Challenge overall win in the Lola at Road Atlanta in 2018.

A must-see airplane scheduled to debut at the HSR Classic Sebring is the pristine 1938 Lockheed 12A Junior (pictured above) of David Marco. This Lockheed 12 was originally purchased by Phillips 66 as a corporate aircraft and is one of only eight still flying today.

Another debuting airplane is the 1941 Stearman (pictured below) Roger Brown has owned since 1990 and flown extensively throughout the United States, visiting all 48 contiguous States. Brown’s Stearman, which carries tail number NC33NA, is one of nearly 10,000 built for the U.S. Military by Boeing during World War II. It was used in war years training Air Force cadets and was sold as surplus after the war, spending the next two decades as a crop duster in Oregon.

The major on-track part of the HSR Classic Sebring is the 12 Hours of Sebring tribute race that takes place Saturday and Sunday. It begins with a symbolic 12 hours of non-stop competition Saturday before all four competing Run Groups contest a final round of races Sunday morning to bring the Classic Sebring 12 Hour to a finish.

The race weekend also features the HSR Sebring Historics that will determine the 2021 Champions of the full-season WeatherTech Sprint, Stoner Car Care Global GT, Sasco Sports International/American Challenge and B.R.M. Endurance Challenge series.

The Sebring Historics has attracted a strong entry of Stock Car competitors in Group 8. The lineup includes veteran HSR competitor Jack Finch who is looking for his second-straight HSR victory after driving his 2002 No. 22 Dodge Charger (pictured below) to a WeatherTech Sprint victory in October’s Fall Historics at Road Atlanta.

The victory earned Finch the Historic Stock Car More Driven by Goodyear bonus, which awards four Goodyear D4920 vintage stock radials to the winners of select HSR Group 8 races.

Yet another high-flying gem set for its Sebring debut is the glistening 1951 Cessna 195A (pictured below) piloted by Frank Gallagher. Cessna N1032D has a basic and worn blue trim that perfectly complements the polished aluminum of the rest of the airframe. Maintaining the amazing shine is a true labor of love, including an annual polish requiring about 45 hours and continuous washes and touchups throughout the year.

Detailed event information for the Classic Sebring 12 Hour and Sebring Historics, including weekend schedules and entry lists, is available at www.HSRRace.com.

Spectator tickets for the HSR Classic Sebring 12 Hour are available exclusively at Sebring International Raceway beginning at Noon EST, Wednesday, December 1. Learn more at www.HSRtickets.com.

About HSR: Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) was formed in the mid-1970s with an event at Road Atlanta. There was one goal then and it remains true today: to celebrate the race cars from the past. As a “time machine” of sights and sounds, HSR provides a venue for competitors and spectators alike to share in the wonderful history and excitement created by the cars that competed at race tracks around the world. HSR currently sanctions eight vintage and historic racing events at some of the world’s most renowned race tracks, including Road Atlanta, Sebring International Raceway, Daytona International Speedway and more. Hamilton or Verstappen: Who Will Win the 2021 F1 Drivers Championship?

Photo by Tomás Evaristo on Unsplash

With just a handful of races to go, the end of the F1 season is in sight. While the Drivers Championship has usually been a formality for Lewis Hamilton to win in recent years, he has faced stiff competition this season in the form of Max Verstappen.

In fact, Red Bull’s Verstappen is currently in a points lead over the seven-time champion Hamilton. Yet after his stunning victory at the thrilling – and oftentimes controversial – Brazilian Grand Prix, where he rose from the tenth position to take the chequered flag, Mercedes’ Hamilton is right in contention to win a record-breaking eighth title.

It might be a two-horse race, but it has been many years since the F1 Drivers Championship has had such an exciting conclusion. The only question is: who will end up being the champion? According to current odds from Betway, it’s too close to call with three races remaining.

Verstappen still retains the lead

Crucially, Verstappen is the one who holds a small yet significant points advantage in the race to the title. With three races to go at the time of writing, he is currently 14 points ahead of Hamilton. This means the title is his to lose.

It also means that Hamilton has to keep chasing him down. With so few races left, even one slip-up could hand the title to Verstappen. Whereas if Verstappen were to suffer a DNF in one race, he could win the other two and still walk away with the championship.

Hamilton may have to win all remaining races

Out of the season’s 19 previous races, Verstappen and Hamilton have finished in the top two spots eleven times. If that trend continues for the last three races of the season, it means that Hamilton has to realistically win all three.

25 points are awarded to the race winner, 18 points to second place. An additional point is also supplied to those with the fastest lap. Putting aside the bonus point, if Hamilton were to win the next two races with Verstappen as runner-up, that would leave them level on points with one race to go. That means he’d also likely have to finish ahead of Verstappen again in the final race.

The experience is with Hamilton

There’s a serious argument to be made that Hamilton is the greatest F1 driver of all time. He has won six of the last seven Drivers Championships. In comparison, 24-year-old Verstappen, 12 years Hamilton’s junior, has yet to win his maiden title, finishing third in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Experience is firmly in Hamilton’s corner, and this could prove the difference in this titanic battle between the two best drivers in F1 today. Add in the fact that Hamilton is benefiting from a fresh new engine, one that gave him a notable performance boost in Brazil, and there are plenty of reasons why Hamilton should be viewed as the favorite despite the current points deficit between the two.
