How to Choose the Right Auto Body Repair Shop and Save a Packet

Even if you are a responsible driver, you may still be involved in an accident due to poor road conditions or others’ irresponsible driving, leaving your car damaged. When it happens, you need to get your vehicle repaired quickly and competently. While choosing the right auto body repair workshop should be simple, it unfortunately isn’t, as both cost and time estimates can vary widely. Some tips to make a wise choice:

Ask For Recommendations

Not only can any business advertise, but they will also only say good things about themselves. A better way to choose a good body shop is to ask family, relatives, friends, and acquaintances for recommendations. In many cases, you can find a small, unknown shop that does a good job without charging you the earth. Some of the best workshops are family-owned, with the owner himself working on the cars with great passion.

If you want to understand repairs before you agree to them, online resources that let you read more on Ford repair manuals can make conversations with a mechanic much clearer. With that background knowledge, you can compare estimates, ask sharper questions, and feel more confident about leaving your car in a particular shop’s hands.

Get a Value-For-Money Estimate

Estimates from different body repair shops can vary widely because the number of hours and the hourly labor rate can differ significantly. The labor rate depends on the demand for services and the level of affluence in the area in which the workshop is located. The rate of one shop can easily be double that of another. Typically, large workshops have more infrastructural and staff overheads that lead to heftier bills. Try to choose an auto body repair Lubbock Texas that follows and charges for the industry-accepted number of hours for specific repair jobs rather than all-inclusive general estimates without any basis.

Compare Multiple Estimates

Take the effort of showing your car to several workshops for estimates so that you can figure out what a reasonable estimate might be. Huffington Post recommends you get estimates from at least three workshops. Important as it is to avoid being overcharged, you should not automatically settle for the lowest estimate, because if it is really low, it might not allow for good-quality repairs. Even with high-quality repairs, the financial impact of a collision goes beyond the repair bill. Many owners do not realize how much a car lost value after accident until they try to sell or trade it in later. This drop in market price happens because a vehicle with a damage history is worth less than one that is original. Getting a professional appraisal helps you understand this hidden cost and provides documentation for insurance claims. It is a smart step to take while your car is still in the shop or right after the work is done.

Ask Relevant Questions

Find out whether they offer a written warranty, what it covers, and its duration. Insist on at least a 1-year warranty, but beware of shops offering lifetime warranties, as they are unrealistic. Also, check whether the workshop has adequate theft and fire insurance to ensure your car is covered. Verify that their business license is valid and that they have been in business for a reasonable period. Find out if the replacement parts they will use are new from OEM, aftermarket, or used and refurbished. If your car is old, it can be worthwhile to go in for used parts if you get a significant cost advantage. Please confirm how many coats of paint and the clear coat will be applied, and whether they guarantee a good match with the original color.

Conclusion

Even after going through all the steps enumerated above, you should give your car to a workshop that gives you the right vibes. Avoid workshops that have lazy, indifferent, or arrogant staff and that do not seem neat, organized, or professional. In lieu of this, consider taking your vehicle to reliable auto body shops St George offers, as they are known for their experienced staff and high-quality services.

Best Racing-Themed Online Slot Games

Racing-themed online slot games are an exciting addition to the slots machine. They bring with them the adrenaline rush of fast-paced cars along with the thrill of winning at online slot machines. There are many offers, but for the best, you need to look for the game structure which is the number of reels, and pay lines. You should also consider the graphics and storylines for maximum entertainment.

We have done the hard part for you so that you don’t take up most of your time trying out disappointing options. Of course, you will need to find the best online casino Philippines to play for real money and or at online casinos in Canada and enjoy an immersive environment. Here are the seven best racing-themed online slot games.

Highway Kings

Highway Kings is developed by Playtech Software, which has an excellent reputation for its designs and immersive experiences. The game has exciting gameplay, especially as you cruise along the highway in your truck. Its symbols include trucks, tires, and cans of petrol.

Highway Kings has five reels and nine pay lines, and you can adjust the bet size on each pay line with the total amount ranging from 9p to £45 per spin. Unlike most of the slots which have bonuses, there is none with Highway Kings. While this is a letdown, the upside is that it is far more common to have huge in-game wins up to 100x your bet. Should you be fortunate enough to hit the red truck’s jackpot symbol five times, you earn a 10,000X multiplier on your bet.

Green Light

Realtime Gaming, a well-known brand in the online casino industry, is Green Light’s maker, and the game is a sure winner. It has earned rave reviews for its audio-visual graphics and immersive experience. The game has five reels and 20 pay lines. The Driver icon is the wild symbol, while the Green Light is the scatter symbol.

You get the Green Light bonus game if you acquire three or more reels on any location on the five reels. It is a chance to win up to 25 free spins depending on the performance of the car you pick. Other attractions of the game include a progressive jackpot, a maximum in-game payout of $10,000, and 95% RTP.

Racing for Pinks

Of all the games on this list, few will pose a challenge as Racing for Pinks, and none will offer more chances for winning as this game. It is a game from Microgaming, arguably one of the best game developers, so the quality of gameplay is not an issue. The game has three rows, five reels, and 243 pay lines, making it one of the highest-paying slot games.

There are 30 free spins as a bonus, a 5x winning multiplier going to 175x on the bonus feature. However, the interesting aspect is the bonus game that you enter if you land the race signs on the 1st and 5th reels. You bet on either the blue or red team in the game, and if you pick the winning team, you advance to the next level. There are five levels, each with exciting rewards. If you make it through all levels, you get the jackpot prize.

Drive: Multiplier Mayhem

Drive: Multiplier Mayhem is a game from NetEnt, one of the industry’s biggest names in software development. It has the thrill of making you feel like you are driving on a darkly lit highway at ultra-fast speeds. It is a five-reel setup with 15 pay lines, and as its name suggests, it is big on multipliers.

With plenty of free spins and multiplier wilds, there are plenty of winning opportunities. The bets start from 15 coins to 75 coins per spin. Play well, and you could end up as the winner of a lucrative jackpot prize that can get you your wheels.

Midnight Race

Saucify may not be the biggest brand in online casino gaming software, but they made one of the best racing games in Midnight Race. The game has one of the most engaging plotlines following the exploits of Hector, Kumiko, and Hans, who take part in illegal street racing. It is a fast-paced car slot game and features interesting symbols like driving gloves, car speedometer, and alloy wheels.

Midnight Race is a five-reel slot with 30 pay lines. If you hit the scatter symbol three, four, or five times, you get eight, twelve, and twenty free spins, respectively. On top of that, the game has a high return to player percentage and excellent payouts.

Mad Dash Slot

As the name suggests, Mad Dash is a vibrant and fast-paced game that adds to its engaging nature. The game allows you to play using just one pay line or up to 20 pay lines. The more pay lines you use, the higher your chances of winning the base jackpot of 2000 coins for every coin spent on each pay line.

The game further offers excellent rewards, including a bonus of free spins from 10, 15, to 25 if you get three or more scatter symbols. The trophy is the scatter symbol. It also has a 4x multiplier that boosts the base jackpot up to 8000. To earn the jackpot, you need to play with one coin per line for all the lines and manage to get all the five jackpot symbols on any of the active pay lines. Its winning potential means you cannot pass up on this game.

Good to Go Slot

Good to Go is another excellent offering from Microgaming and best demonstrates the software developer’s desire to set new frontiers. The game features the usual and new innovative racing symbols, including drivers in helmets, checkered flags, and beautiful women.

The game also has attractive jackpot sums adding up to $50,000, and there are bonuses too. For example, three scatters or more will get you three more spins on the final reward. Good to Go has nine pay lines that you can bet on and are also free to change the wager on any line. The amount ranges from 0.01 to 10 credits making the maximum bet amount 90 credits per spin.

Conclusion

If you are looking for some online fun, you will not go wrong with racing-themed online slots. They are engaging and demand a certain level of skill. The best sports activities also offer you a chance to win a decent life-changing amount even if the stakes are high. Our shortlist above is an excellent way to start your adventure.

NASCAR Top-10 Power Rankings: Michigan

BROOKLYN, MICHIGAN - AUGUST 22: Ryan Blaney, driver of the #12 Menards/Cardell Cabinetry Ford, takes the checkered flag to win the NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway on August 22, 2021 in Brooklyn, Michigan. (Photo by Logan Riely/Getty Images)

Note: The quotes in this article are fictional.

1. Kyle Larson: Larson finished third at Michigan and heads to Daytona looking to clinch the regular-season title.

“I lead all drivers in wins,” Larson said. “I’m the leader in the points standings. And I’m the favorite to win the Cup championship. Need I say more? No. Which in my case is good.”

2. Chase Elliott: Elliott won Stage 1 and finished eighth in the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan.

“Being out front was the key at Michigan,” Elliott said. “You can’t underestimate the importance of clean air. ‘Dirty air’ is what you get when you’re behind the leader, or when you listen to Kyle Busch on his team radio.”

3. Denny Hamlin: Hamlin came home fifth at Michigan.

“I’m still winless,” Hamlin said, “but I still have a shot at the regular-season championship. Even if I don’t win it, I can still take comfort in knowing that, with zero wins this season after seven last season, it has, indeed, been a regular season.”

4. Martin Truex Jr.: Truex suffered early damage to the left rear of his car, which caused major handling issues.

“That contact was caused by Kyle Busch,” Truex said. “Like most drivers, I try to avoid contact with Kyle under all circumstances. That means on the track, in team functions, and in public. Aside from that, we have a great working relationship.”

5. William Byron: Byron just missed taking his second win this year, losing to Ryan Blaney by just .077.

“It sucks to lose by such a slim margin,” Byron said. “Heck, I’d just as soon finish last than lose by so tiny a margin. So, this may very well be the first time someone actually wished they were Joey Gase.”

6. Kevin Harvick: Harvick struggled with handling issues early and was never a threat to win at Michigan. He finished 14th and remains winless on the year.

“I won nine times last year,” Harvick said. “And I swept both races at MIS last year. So, I was highly optimistic I could win on Sunday. But I didn’t and I’m very disappointed. On the bright side, I wasn’t obligated to take a sip of Busch Light Apple in Victory Circle.”

7. Kyle Busch: Busch overshot his pit stall on the final pit sequence, ruining his chances for victory at Michigan. He finished seventh, one of three Joe Gibbs Racing drivers in the top 10.

“That was totally my fault,” Busch said, “and I can’t tell you how angry I am at myself. I came in a little hot; I came out a little hotter.”

8. Alex Bowman: Bowman finished 16th at Michigan while Hendrick Motorsports teammates William Byron, Kyle Larson, and Chase Elliott finished 2, 3, and 8, respectively.

“Daytona is up next on the schedule,” Bowman said. “It’s the last race before the playoffs, and with one playoff spot left, you can imagine how wild it could be at Daytona. As you would expect in Florida, fans refuse to mask their excitement.”

9. Ryan Blaney: Blaney took the lead on the final restart at Michigan and held on for the win, edging William Byron by .077.

“It’s always a big deal when a Ford wins at Michigan,” Blaney said. “And that happens a lot. It’s a bigger deal when Ford wins something of consequence. That doesn’t happen a lot.”

10. Joey Logano: Logano was caught up in a crash on a late restart, leaving his No. 22 Ford with right-front suspension damage. His day was done, and Logano finished 33rd.

“Congratulations to my Penske Racing teammate Ryan Blaney on his win,” Logano said. “He won by a nose over William Byron. Austin Dillon lost by a nose over Brad Keselowski.”

The new Motul 300V is revealed for the 24h of Le Mans, the most iconic racing event in the world.

Launched in 1971, Motul 300V was developed to help racing teams accomplish maximum performance and reliability out of their engines, the holy grail of motorsport. Its name is a tribute to the 300 racing victories achieved by the time of its launch – but Motul 300V has gone on to help countless more motorsport legends to victory.

Over the following decades, Motul has continuously perfected its flagship product and today, Motul 300V continues to propel the world’s top teams to podium glory. From Le Mans to high-performance cars, Drift Masters to Dakar rally, it has proved itself to be a game changing lubricant in the paddocks of top racing.

Fifty years after its first launch, Motul is proud to unveil the latest evolution of its benchmark lubricant: the new Motul 300V range.

The new Motul 300V brings many improvements:

  • Improved performance: The new Motul 300V racing oil improves your engine performance by reducing internal friction. This new formulation ensures proven power and torque gains across the whole power band.
  • Better reliability: Motul 300V protects your engine without compromising performance, by providing high shear stability for maximal oil film resistance, even in most extreme conditions.
  • Improved compatibility: Motul 300V now fulfills modern engine requirements: compatible with exhaust gas after-treatment systems such as particulate filters, compatible with biofuels (especially Ethanol) and protects against LSPI (on downsized engines).
  • More sustainable: Motul 300V features Organic base stocks using non-fossil renewable materials limiting the environmental impact and allows Motul to lower its carbon footprint by 25% during manufacturing process.

The range is split in 3 major series:

Power
POWER series features the lightest viscosity grades, available from 0W-8 to 5W-30, brings the maximum power and can cope with engines subject to low oil fuel dilution.

Competition
COMPETITION series features our mid viscosity grades, available from 0W-40 to 15W-50, brings the best compromise between power and reliability, and can cope with engines subject to mid oil fuel dilution.

Le Mans
New generation of 300V Le Mans series offers the maximum engine reliability possible and is now available in 10W-60 and 20W-60 viscosities. It is perfect for extreme motorsport applications such as endurance racing and drifting. Adding to the uniqueness of these products is the fact that they are the only engine oils worldwide bearing the prestigious 24 hours of Le Mans name.

A launch at 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021:

The brand new Motul 300V is launched during the 24h of Le Mans, the most gruelling endurance race of the year and probably the most iconic of all.

Besides powering most of the LMP2 teams on the grid, including 2020 category winners United Autosports, Motul is proud to be the official lubricant partner of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, which had the opportunity to test the new Motul 300V and share their excitement about the new product.

Jim Glickenhaus, the Founder of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus said: “The new Motul 300V makes a gigantic difference. In challenging racing conditions, the engine often gets stretched to its limits, therefore we need a reliable lubricant which will make the engine able to continue the race. The new Motul 300V is exactly that. We have full confidence in this lubricant.”

5 Drivers Can Enter the Post Season with a Triumph in “Last-Chance” Race, Including Four Former Daytona Champions

Entering the summer classic, NASCAR’s regular season finale, 15 drivers have secured their position in NASCAR’s Playoffs, but on the outside looking in, are another 15 drivers, who, with a win, can automatically punch their ticket towards a championship run in NASCAR’s premier series. Four of those 15 competitors trying to nudge their way into the mix are former Daytona Champions.

The man currently in the hot seat in 16th is Richard Childress Racing’s Tyler Reddick. His teammate, 2018 DAYTONA 500 Champion Austin Dillon, sits 17th, 25 points behind Reddick. Both still have the opportunity to get in via points, IF one of the other 13 non-winning ’21 drivers doesn’t go to Ruoff Victory Lane in the Coke Zero Sugar 400, set for a green flag start at 7 p.m. ET.

How determined will Austin Dillon be to win the Coke Zero Sugar 400? “Very,” said the driver of the No. 3 Chevrolet, who was in contention to win at Michigan International Speedway Sunday before a mid-race accident with Brad Keselowski.

Meanwhile, the battle the regular season points championship is still on-going with five-time winner Kyle Larson and three-time DAYTONA 500 Champion Denny Hamlin, who is still winless in 2021 and trails Larson by 28 points.

“We’ll just try to get every point that we can and go for the win. We’ll do everything we can,” said Hamlin of this weekend’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona’s 2.5-mile tri-oval.

Can Clinch Via Points
If there is a repeat winner or a win by a driver who cannot advance to the Playoffs, the following drivers could clinch by being ahead of the 4th winless driver in the standings. The same point requirements listed below would hold true if a new win comes from among Hamlin or Harvick.

In addition to at least nine major event weekends, the Speedway grounds are also used extensively for events that include concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Buescher Powers Castrol Ford to 15th-Place Finish at Michigan

Brooklyn, Michigan (August 22, 2021) – Roush Fenway Racing driver Chris Buescher battled his way to a 15th-place finish in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup race at at Michigan International Speedway – picking up the final position on the last lap of the 200-lap event. Buescher spent much of the day patiently working his No. 17 Castrol Ford Mustang through the field, ultimately earning his second top-15 finish in the past two weeks.

“We had good speed in our Castrol Ford Mustang,” said Buescher after the race. “Clean air was pretty much the key, but we survived a couple of close calls at the end there and ended up with a pretty descent finish. We wanted more, but not a bad run today.”

Buescher started the race 11th, but after struggling with the Ford’s handling early he dropped back to 25th by the end of the race’s first stage. Buescher would run as low as 29th by lap 70, but moved back inside the top 20 just after the start of the race’s third and final stage. Working an alternate pit strategy, Buescher moved all the way to second position before pitting for the final time on lap 169.

The strategy proved successful, with the No. 17 Castrol Ford never running outside the top 16 again, and Buescher survived a pair of late cautions to bring home the 15th-place finish.

The team returns to action next week at Daytona International Speedway, for the regular-season finale.

Late Incident Derails Newman’s Run in Michigan

BROOKLYN, Mich. (August 22, 2021) – Ryan Newman navigated a chaotic race at Michigan International Speedway for the majority of Sunday’s 400-mile race at the track with an eye on a top-ten result, but a large pileup with just 13 laps to go collected the veteran driver and relegated him to a 24th-place finish.

Newman began the day from the 16th position in his ITsavvy Ford Mustang, and maintained that position through the early laps even with two cautions in the first 30 laps of the day. With changing track conditions as weather threatened the area, he would ease into a 23rd-place finish in the opening stage.

Restarts were a strength for the No. 6 team throughout the afternoon, and Newman jumped up ten positions on the start of the second stage. With a long green flag run bracketing the stage, crew chief Scott Graves played the long game strategy to set the team up for the end of the race by pitting just before the end of the segment – which Newman finished 22nd.

The strategy paid off for the team, as Newman restarted for the third and final stage in the 10th position. He again showed great short run speed, jumping as high as fifth in the opening laps of the segment. Fresher tires back in the field eventually evened out, with Newman fading to just inside the top-15 by the time a caution came out for rain with just 20 laps to go in the event.

Restarting with just under 15 laps to go, Newman once again surged forward on the green flag. The ITsavvy Mustang looked poised to secure a second consecutive top ten finish, but a large pileup triggered just ahead of the No. 6 and collected the Indiana native. The team was able to repair much of the damage, but Newman had to start from the rear of the field with only a handful of laps remaining. He would pick off several positions in the closing laps, netting a 24th-place finish.

The team returns to action next week at Daytona International Speedway for the regular-season finale. Race coverage is set for 7 p.m. ET on NBC and MRN, and can also be heard on SiriusXM Channel 90.
