PATO O’WARD PUTS CHEVROLET IN VICTORY LANE AT MID-OHIO
SCOTT MCLAUGHLIN GIVES CHEVROLET TWO PODIUM SPOTS IN INDYCAR HYBRID POWER UNIT DEBUT

  • Pato O Ward, No 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet, won his second race of the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season with a hard-fought victory today at the debut of the INDYCAR Hybrid Power Unit
  • Scott McLaughlin, No. 3 Sonsio Team Penske Chevrolet., finished third to give Chevrolet two spots on the podium for the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio
  • It is the 5th win of the season for Team Chevy

Pato O’Ward, No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet-RACE WINNER:

YOU HAVE MADE YOUR WAY TO VICTORY LANE AGAIN, WHAT ARE THE FEELINGS?

“Yeah, that was a hard-fought race. We were really, really strong on the reds. Palou was really, really strong on the blacks. So, all I needed to do was just kind of stay at bay in the first stint and then come into the pits and put those reds on and try and close the gap. Then get him on the pit sequence or on track, but great job by the team. Ahhh, it’s been a while. I know we won St. Pete, but this is a proper win, and we earned this one this weekend.”

IS THIS THE PRODUCT OF THE EFFORT AND HARD WORK BEING PUT IN BY THIS PROGRAM?

“Yeah, I felt very comfortable with the car this weekend. From the second practice going into qualifying, we executed, and they put a really strong car under me for the race. So, hats off to Arrow/McLaren, they gave me a rocket.”

Scott McLaughlin, No. 3 Sonsio Team Penske Chevrolet, FINISHED 3rd:

LONG GREEN FLAG RUNS TODAY, WHAT WERE CONDITIONS LIKE OUT THERE?

“Yeah, it was hard. We were in no mans land there, so I had my own race and was just playing with the hybrid a bit and learning it as well. I am just really proud of everyone on this Sonsio Protection Chevy. We have been up and down all year and its nice to get a solid result. Hopefully we can build on to this. Now we go to two ovals, two ovals that I really enjoy and just keep building some momentum.”

YOUR CREW CAME OVER THE RADIO AND SAID YOU WERE DOING A PERFECT JOB DURING THE RACE. HOW RELIEVING IS THAT AS A DRIVER?

“Its nice. Your confidence gets knocked around when you make a couple of mistakes here and there. You come in with a lot of expectation and you want to be good every weekend, but ultimately you are human, and everyone makes mistakes. But as I have said, I have a great team behind me, and we have to keep pushing on and keep working. There are plenty of races left in the season and we can keep on improving and see where we are at.”

Mark Stielow, Director of Motorsports Competition Programs for General Motors:

“What an exciting race today at Mid-Ohio! Congratulations to Pato O’Ward, Gavin Ward and the entire No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet team on their outstanding win. Pato drove a skilled, patient race while his crew executed flawlessly on pit lane. It was a true team win.

“There were great battles throughout the field. With Scott McLaughlin bringing the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet to the finish in third, it is very rewarding for everyone on the Chevrolet engineering side along with our teams who have all put in countless hours to reach today’s race to have two drivers on the podium for debut of the INDYCAR Hybrid Power Unit.”

Meyer Shank Racing Scores Pair of Top-15 Finishes at Mid-Ohio INDYCAR Race

Lexington, Ohio (7 July 2024) – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) had its high hopes for today’s Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio dashed on a couple of trips down Pit Lane, but the team fought back for a pair of top-15 results as David Malukas (No. 66 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda) finished 12th while Felix Rosenqvist (No. 60 AutoNation / SiriusXM Honda) ended his day in 14th.

Malukas, who had matched his personal NTT INDYCAR SERIES best by taking the third spot in Saturday’s qualifying, ran a strong third throughout his first stint, before pitting for new Firestone alternate tires on Lap 27. Unfortunately, that was as close as he would get after a stall leaving the pit box cost him a 10-second deficit.

Malukas stayed with the same pit strategy as the leaders, making two pit stops, which gave him a chance to gain ground on those cars that made an extra stop. The strategy allowed him to show consistent on-track speed and gain a spot back on his way to the 12th-place finish.

Rosenqvist started 19th after a six-position grid penalty for an engine change, which led MSR to employ an alternate fuel strategy in hopes of earning spots. The Swedish driver started on the softer alternate Firestones in a move that saw him gain four positions before pitting in just 12 laps, but eventually brought him to three fuel stops over the 80-lap race and leaving him to finish 14th.

The 12th-place finish for Malukas was the best of the 2024 season for the No. 66 machine and marked the third time in as many tries that he has finished in the top 12 at Mid-Ohio.

The team will head one hour south back to it’s shop just outside of Columbus and turn its two-car stable over to it’s oval set up as the series heads to Iowa Speedway next weekend for the first double-header race weekend of the year.

Meyer Shank Racing Driver Quotes:

David Malukas: “Unfortunately we had some clutch issues on the pit stops and we lost about 10-15 seconds on that first stop and another few positions on the next one. Pace-wise on the reds, it wasn’t really there. Overall without all of those issues I think we would have finished in the top 5. If you told me in Laguna that I would be really upset with a P12, I would be surprised. This race is another good step forward at Meyer Shank Racing.”

Felix Rosenqvist: “P14 at Mid-Ohio. It was a very stagnant race, not much going on. We actually made up a lot of spots in the beginning, 19th to 14th. We chose the three stop strategy which I don’t think was the right decision, but it wasn’t way better or worse than the two stop strategy. We were the best car to finish on that strategy. We had great pace to be honest. We started in the back and that hurt us in the end. I learned a lot of good things and waiting for that good result that’s going to come soon.”

Podium Finish for ABEL Motorsports at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio. (July 7, 2024) – ABEL Motorsports and Jacob Abel continued the fight for the INDY NXT by Firestone championship title, taking home a podium finish in the Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio to keep the points battle close.

Abel, driving the No. 51 ABEL Construction Dallara, dealt with a late-race vibration to bring the car home in third position for his seventh series podium of the season, keeping him in second position in the title chase. But for Abel’s teammates – Yuven Sundaramoorthy, in the No. 22 S Team Motorsports Dallara and Jordan Missig in the No. 21 ABEL Motorsports entry – early contact kept them from a solid result, though both showed race pace among the leaders.

The INDY NXT Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio took the green flag just after NTT INDYCAR SERIES warm up, with Abel starting third, Sundaramoorthy 15th and Missig 16th. Starting the race at the alternate start line on the turn three straight, the field made it safely through just one corner before an incident just ahead sent Missig off track.

Unable to turn the car once he hit the grass, Missig landed in the gravel, bringing out a full course caution. Restarted by the AMR INDYCAR safety Team, Missig rejoined the field, albeit two laps down. Sundaramoorthy took advantage of the chaos to push his way forward, settling into 12th position.

Taking the green once again on lap four, Abel balanced the effort to make a move on Louis Foster ahead, while keeping Callum Hedge behind him. Behind him, Sundaramoorthy was in the thick of a three-car battle for 10th, making a big move on the outside to score two spots, but the progress stalled out as Sundaramoorthy slid wide to avoid, making slight contact with Salvador de Alba outside – garnering a drive-through penalty for avoidable contact. He rejoined in 14th and by lap 26, was second only to the leader in terms of lap speed.

Abel continued to show pace as well, with the top three posting nearly identical lap times as Abel looked for an opportunity. Meanwhile, Missig focused on his race, continuing the learning curve in only his fifth race in the series.

With 8 laps to go, Abel began experiencing a vibration in the left front tire that proved to cost him both pace and performance. Holding his breath and nursing his car through the corners, Abel was able to manage the issue and make it to the checkered flag in third, his seventh podium in nine races. Sundaramoorthy came home 14th and Missig 17th.

“We actually had a lot of pace in the middle of the race, and I think we were catching Louis,” said Abel. “I was feeling pretty good about it, the balance was kind of coming to me. Unfortunately, I had the vibration in the left front tire so we had to take what we could get after that – knowing we had the pace but having to stop pushing to bring it home. Obviously not a super great championship day because we’ve lost to the leader a little bit more, but it could have been worse.”

“I was able to make some good moves and get by all that stuff on the start,” said Sundaramoorthy. “Bogle checked up a little bit there and I thought I had room to maneuver right, but Salvador was there, unfortunately. I feel bad for the team, the pace was there.”

“Starting in the back is its own penalty,” said Missig. “There was chaos just in front of me and I could have turned in, but I would have hit Jamie (Chadwick). The only other option was just to go straight but as soon as I got in the grass car wouldn’t turn and eventually, the gravel just kind of caught up to it. After that, it was just a matter of making the best of it. We showed pace, keeping pace with the leaders, and I gained more experience, so we’ll see what comes next. I’d love to do one or two of the ovals, to get more experience for next year.”

ABEL Motorsports thanks partners ABEL Construction Company, Advance Ready Mix, Boyd Cat®, S Team Motorsports, Quest Global and OMP for their continued support.

Next up for ABEL Motorsports and the INDY NXT by Firestone will be the Iowa 100, Saturday, July 13 at 2:05 p.m. Eastern. Collet Dominates at Mid-Ohio To Earn First Career Victory

IndyNXT-Mansfield, OH (Photo by Travis Hinkle | IMS Photo)

LEXINGTON, Ohio (Sunday, July 7, 2024) – Caio Collet left no doubt.

Brazilian rookie Collet led all 35 laps from the pole to earn his first career INDY NXT by Firestone victory Sunday in the Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio. Collet drove his No. 18 HMD Motorsports entry to a 6.8091-second victory over runner-up Louis Foster in the No. 26 Copart/Novara Technologies car fielded by Andretti Global.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend,” Collet said. “We led every session, pole position, fastest lap. I think the car was great since Friday. The first lap, I felt really, really good. I managed to put the weekend together, and I’m really, really happy.”

Jacob Abel finished third in the No. 51 Abel Construction entry fielded by Abel Motorsports.

Rookies filled three of the top five finishing positions on the 13-turn, 2.258-mile Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Callum Hedge placed fourth in the No. 17 HMD Motorsports car, followed by fellow first-year driver and teammate Christian Brooks in the No. 39 HMD Motorsports machine.

Collet produced a command performance all weekend, earning the “grand slam” of leading both practice sessions, winning the pole and the race, and completing the fastest lap of the race. He was never threatened, both at the start and on the only restart of the race, on Lap 4.

Foster stayed in touch during the first half of the race, staying within 1.2 seconds at the halfway mark. But Collet inexorably pulled away over the second half, building a gap of 3.4 seconds by Lap 29 as Foster and Abel struggled with tire wear. Collet also produced the fastest lap of the race in the final five trips around the repaved asphalt ribbon.

While Foster’s two-race win streak ended, his lead increased in the championship with his sixth consecutive top-two finish this season. Foster is first in the standings with 386 points, followed by Abel with 345 and Collet with 315.

There are five races remaining this season for the INDYCAR development series, with four on ovals. The next event is the first oval race of the season, the Iowa 100 this Saturday, July 13 at Iowa Speedway.

Neither Foster, Abel nor Collet – the top three drivers in the standings – have an oval win in INDY NXT. Collet will make his first career oval start this Saturday at Iowa, and he knows his status as a championship contender hinges on his quick adaptation to circle tracks.

“I’ll answer that question next Sunday at this time and see how my first oval race goes,” Collet said.

DAMS Lucas Oil picks up Feature Race podium at Silverstone

DAMS Lucas Oil secured a podium at Silverstone, as Jak Crawford showed brilliant pace to finish third in Sunday’s Feature Race.

Crawford qualified in a solid seventh, meaning he would start fourth in the Sprint Race, which took place in tricky wet conditions. As the American stayed out of trouble to secure points in sixth, Juan Manuel Correa battled to 12th from 15th on the grid.

On Sunday, the Aston Martin Driver Development Programme member got an excellent start to the Feature Race, gaining three places on the opening loop, before pitting on Lap 10 for the hard tyre. Crawford would move into the net race lead on Lap 19, showing stunning pace to take the chequered flag first, but he would finish third, after receiving a five-second penalty for an unsafe release.

In the #8 car, Correa would show strong speed on the alternate strategy, sitting in second for the majority of the race, before an incident in the pit lane and late puncture would leave the American-Ecuadorian in 20th.

#7 Jak Crawford

“I’m pleased to pick up another podium at Silverstone in what was a tricky weekend with the constant changes in track conditions. In the Feature Race, I pushed like crazy after we received the penalty, and only just missed out by a tenth of a second on P2. The pace was excellent, and it’s now my sixth consecutive point scoring finish, showing the consistency we’ve had in recent weeks. It was a positive triple-header for us, and we’ll now make sure that we continue to improve during the last two rounds before the summer break.”

Charles Pic, Team Owner

“We’re happy to secure a Feature Race podium with Jak who drove very well, but it could’ve been the win. It’s another top-3 for the team and the race pace looked strong with both cars. We were in a close fight for position at Jak’s pit-stop and we hoped to get him out ahead of his rival. It was really tight, we tried and we got unfortunately penalised. The speed shown from Jak was very impressive to secure the podium, only narrowly missing out on P2. JM looked on for points before the incident at the pit stop, and he also had a puncture straight after which meant he had to come in again. We want to send our best wishes to our mechanic Christophe, who injured his hand during JM’s pit stop, and wish him a speedy recovery.”

Revving Up Your Ride: The Performance Benefits of Custom Camaro Upgrades

Photo by Christian Wiediger on Unsplash

Having a Camaro is about embracing a lifestyle filled with speed, power, and performance, not just owning a car. Are you looking to enhance your Camaro’s power, handling, and overall driving experience? Custom upgrades can make a big difference.

Whether you’re a car lover or new to customizing, this guide will show you how custom Camaro upgrades boost your beloved muscle car. Read on.

Engine and Exhaust Upgrades

The heart of any performance vehicle is its engine. Upgrading your Camaro’s engine and exhaust system can yield gains in power and efficiency.

Cold Air Intakes

Installing a cold air intake is a simple way to boost your Camaro’s performance. These systems bring cooler, denser air into the engine, improving combustion and power. They are affordable and easy to install. They can enhance both horsepower and fuel efficiency.

Performance Exhaust Systems

A performance exhaust system can boost horsepower and torque. It does this by reducing back pressure and increasing exhaust flow.

They also provide an aggressive sound that many enthusiasts love. There are a lot of brands that offer quality exhaust systems for Camaros.

Engine Tuning and ECU Remapping

Engine tuning and ECU remapping adjust the software controlling your engine. These modifications optimize performance, resulting in:

  • better throttle response
  • increased horsepower
  • improved fuel efficiency

Professional tuning can unlock your Camaro’s full potential.

Suspension and Handling Upgrades

Upgrading your suspension system is crucial for improving handling and ride quality. Better handling means more control and a more enjoyable driving experience.

Performance Springs and Shocks

Performance springs and shocks can lower your car’s center of gravity. This reduces body roll and improves cornering stability. You can find a lot of brands that offer high-quality components designed to enhance your Camaro’s performance.

Sway Bars

Sway bars are also known as anti-roll bars. This reduces body roll during cornering, providing better handling and stability. Upgrading to performance sway bars can make a noticeable difference in how your Camaro handles tight turns and curves.

Strut Braces

Strut braces boost the chassis’s strength. They reduce wobbling and make your Camaro easier to handle more precisely. These upgrades don’t cost much and can step up the way your Camaro drives.

Brake Upgrades

With more power and speed, it’s important to have brakes that can handle the extra performance. Upgrading your brakes will keep you safe and make your driving experience even better.

Performance Brake Pads and Rotors

The pads and rotors boost stopping power. They also disperse heat better than stock parts. Brands like Brembo and Hawk provide high-performance brake systems for Camaros.

Big Brake Kits

Big brake kits have larger rotors and calipers. They offer great stopping power and heat management. These kits are a major investment but deliver unparalleled performance on both track and street.

Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Stainless steel brake lines improve pedal feel and reduce the risk of expansion under pressure. This upgrade provides consistent braking performance. This is essential for spirited driving or track sessions.

Interior and Comfort Upgrades

While performance is key, comfort and aesthetics should not be overlooked. Interior upgrades can enhance your driving experience and make your Camaro a more enjoyable place to spend time.

Performance Seats

Upgrading to performance seats enhances support and comfort for spirited driving. Recaro and Sparco seats offer comfort with excellent lateral support, keeping you secure during aggressive cornering.

Steering Wheels and Pedals

A performance steering wheel and pedal set enhances control and connection with your car. These car upgrades offer a more tactile and responsive feel, improving your driving experience.

Heater Fan Box

Upgrading your Camaro’s heater fan box can improve cabin comfort and climate control efficiency. High-performance 3rd gen Camaro parts, such as a heater fan box ensure:

  • better airflow distribution
  • quicker defrosting times
  • improved temperature regulation

This is especially helpful in extreme weather conditions.

Exterior and Aerodynamics

Exterior upgrades not only enhance your Camaro’s appearance but can also improve its aerodynamics and performance.

Body Kits

Body kits can give your Camaro a more aggressive and unique look. They often include front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and spoilers, all designed to improve your car’s aerodynamics and reduce drag.

Spoilers and Splitters

Spoilers and splitters can enhance your Camaro’s aerodynamic performance by reducing lift and increasing downforce. These upgrades provide better stability at high speeds and can improve handling during spirited driving.

Lightweight Wheels

Upgrading to lightweight wheels can reduce unsprung weight, improving your Camaro’s acceleration, braking, and handling. Brands like BBS and OZ Racing offer high-quality wheels that combine performance and style.

Lighting Upgrades

Improving your Camaro’s lighting can enhance both its appearance and safety.

LED Headlights and Taillights

Upgrading to LED headlights and taillights can provide better visibility and a more modern look. LEDs are brighter and more energy efficient than traditional halogen bulbs, offering improved illumination and longer lifespan.

Fog Lights

Adding fog lights can improve visibility in adverse weather conditions. They provide a wider and lower beam pattern that helps illuminate the road ahead, making driving safer in foggy or rainy conditions.

Interior Lighting

Upgrading your interior lighting to LEDs can provide a brighter and more modern look. Customizable ambient lighting kits allow you to change the color and intensity of your interior lights, adding a personalized touch to your Camaro’s cabin.

Wheels and Tires

Wheels and tires are key for your Camaro’s performance. Opting for high-performance upgrades improves grip, traction, and the driving experience.

Performance Tires

Performance tires offer better grip and handling compared to standard tires. Brands like Michelin and Pirelli offer tires designed specifically for high-performance vehicles, providing superior traction and stability.

Wheel Alignment

Proper wheel alignment is essential for optimal handling and tire wear. Regular alignment checks and adjustments can ensure your Camaro performs at its best and extends the life of your tires.

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

A TPMS can help maintain optimal tire pressure, improving safety and performance. These systems alert you when tire pressure is low, allowing you to address the issue before it becomes a problem.

Invest in Custom Camaro Upgrades Today

Upgrading your Camaro can significantly enhance its performance, handling, comfort, and appearance. Each custom Camaro upgrade offers specific benefits that contribute to an improved driving experience.

Whether you are fine-tuning for the track or simply want a more enjoyable daily drive. Custom upgrades allow you to tailor your Camaro to your exact preferences.

Invest in quality parts and professional installation today. Maximize the potential of your muscle car and enjoy the rewards on the road.

From Frame to Finish: A Guide to Assembling and Perfecting Your Nine-Ball Pool Table

Assembling a nine ball pool table might seem like a straightforward task at first glance.  However, for professional pool table mechanics, it’s a meticulous process that requires a specialized arsenal of tools and materials.  These elements, combined with years of experience and a keen eye for detail, ensure a perfectly leveled and playable surface for countless games to come.

The foundation of a professional’s toolkit lies in precision measuring instruments.  High-quality spirit levels, ideally at least four feet long, are essential for meticulously assessing the flatness of the slate bed – the heart of the playing surface.  Tape measures and squares ensure precise alignment of rails and other components during assembly.

Beyond measuring tools, professionals rely on specialized equipment to manipulate the table’s various parts.  Socket wrenches of different sizes become their trusted companions, allowing for adjustments to leveling bolts on tables with adjustable legs.  For those without adjustable legs, shims – thin wedges of durable material – come into play.  Professionals strategically place these under specific legs to achieve micro-adjustments and create a perfectly level playing surface.

The assembly process also necessitates a variety of other materials.  Specialized fasteners, chosen for their strength and ability to secure components without damaging the table, are crucial.  High-quality felt, meticulously chosen based on the table’s specifications and the owner’s preferences, is another essential element.  Finally, pool table mechanics often carry a variety of cleaning supplies to ensure the slate and other components are spotless before assembly, promoting optimal ball roll and a pristine playing experience.

The Anatomy of a Nine-Ball Pool Table

The nine-ball pool table, a centerpiece for countless hours of recreation and friendly competition, is a marvel of engineering and design.  But beneath the sleek surface lies a carefully constructed framework of key components, each playing a vital role in creating a perfect playing experience.  Let’s delve into the details of these essential elements, and explore some tips for assembly.

The Foundation: Frame and Slate

The foundation of any nine-ball pool table is the frame.  This sturdy structure, typically crafted from wood or metal, provides the framework that supports the slate bed and playing surface.  The quality of the frame is paramount, as it needs to be durably constructed to withstand the force of energetic cueing and ensure the slate remains perfectly level over time.

Sitting atop the frame is the heart of the table: the slate bed.  This thick slab of precision-honed slate provides a perfectly flat and true playing surface for the pool balls.  The slate’s density and rigidity ensure balls roll predictably and consistently, regardless of where they are struck on the table.  Higher quality pool tables often boast thicker slate, which translates to a superior playing experience.

The Playing Surface: Felt and Cushions

Once the slate bed is secured to the frame, it’s time for the felt – the fabric that provides the playing surface where the magic truly happens.  Felt comes in various grades and weaves, each affecting the speed of the balls and the overall playing style.  Tournament-grade felt, for instance, offers a slower playing surface, allowing for more strategic shot-making.  The felt is meticulously stretched and secured to the slate, ensuring a wrinkle-free and taut surface for optimal ball roll.

Finally, the cushions, those rubberized bumpers that line the rails and pocket openings, complete the nine-ball pool table.  Cushions play a crucial role in how balls rebound off the rails and into pockets.  Their responsiveness and liveliness are carefully considered, with some players preferring livelier cushions for a faster-paced game.  Properly installed and maintained cushions ensure balls carom off the rails with predictable angles, adding an element of strategy and skill to the game.

Assembly Tips: Rails and Pockets

Now, let’s delve into some assembly specifics.  Attaching the rails to the frame typically involves slotting them into designated grooves and then using specialized brackets or hardware to fix them in place.  This stage often requires an extra set of hands to ensure proper alignment and hold the rails steady while attaching the fasteners.

Securing the Pockets: Once the rails are secured, it’s time to install the pockets.  These are typically attached to the underside of the table using screws or specialized fasteners provided by the manufacturer.  Here’s where attention to detail is key.  Ensure the pockets are positioned squarely and evenly spaced from the rails.  Double-check that the pocket liners, if applicable, are properly seated within the pockets to ensure smooth ball entry.

A Step-by-Step Look at Nine-Ball Pool Table Frame Assembly

The first step involves familiarization.  Carefully review the assembly instructions provided by the manufacturer.  These will provide detailed diagrams and explanations specific to your table model.  Lay out all the components – legs, rails, braces, and fasteners –  in a well-lit workspace to ensure you have everything at hand.

Next comes the leg attachment.  Following the manufacturer’s instructions, securely attach the legs to the designated spots on the main frame.  Double-check all connections and tighten the fasteners appropriately.  Depending on the table design, some legs might be pre-assembled and simply require bolting onto the frame.

With the legs firmly in place, it’s time to focus on the rails.  These long, cushioned structures that border the playing surface need to be meticulously aligned and secured.  The assembly process typically involves slotting the rails into designated grooves on the frame and then using specialized brackets or hardware to fix them in place.  This stage often requires an extra set of hands to ensure proper alignment and hold the rails steady while attaching the fasteners.

Once the rails are secure, some tables might require the installation of additional support braces.  These braces, typically made of metal, provide structural stability and prevent the frame from warping over time.  The assembly instructions will detail the location and attachment method for these braces.

The final step in frame assembly involves a thorough inspection.  Ensure all connections are secure, there are no loose bolts or screws, and the frame sits level and stable.  A spirit level can be helpful here to confirm a perfectly flat surface for the upcoming slate installation.

By following these steps carefully and referencing the manufacturer’s instructions, you can successfully assemble the frame of your nine-ball pool table.  Remember, taking your time, ensuring proper alignment, and double-checking connections are crucial for a sturdy and stable foundation for your future games.  With the frame complete, you’ll be well on your way to transforming your space into a haven for competitive fun and billiards mastery.

The Finishing Touches

The most crucial step involves leveling the slate bed. This seemingly simple task is paramount for ensuring balls roll predictably and true across the entire surface. Professional pool table mechanics rely on high-quality spirit levels, ideally at least four feet long, to meticulously assess the flatness of the slate in both lengthwise and crosswise directions. If any dips or slopes are identified, adjustments might be necessary. For tables with adjustable legs, this often involves using a wrench to carefully raise or lower individual legs until the spirit level shows a perfectly centered bubble.

In some cases, the table might not have adjustable legs, or the floor itself might be uneven. Here’s where shims come in handy. These thin wedges of material like wood or plastic can be strategically placed under specific legs to create the necessary micro-adjustments and achieve a perfectly level playing surface. Alternatively, for significant dips or slopes in the floor, a leveling compound might be used to create a more even base for the table to rest upon.

Once the slate is demonstrably level, it’s time to address the final details. Double-check that all the fasteners are secure, ensuring no rattles or loose connections that could disrupt gameplay. Inspect the felt for any wrinkles or imperfections. A taut and wrinkle-free surface is essential for optimal ball roll. If any minor imperfections are found, a carefully applied felt iron can help smooth them out.

Finally, with the table level and the playing surface pristine, you can attach the pool balls and accessories. Take a moment to admire your handiwork. You’ve not only assembled a nine-ball pool table, but you’ve also ensured it’s ready to provide countless hours of competitive fun and billiards mastery for you and your fellow players.

Gameplay features of thimbles game casino at 1xBet

The categories of available online casino games are divided according to different criteria such as game format and genre. You can also notice that each gambling game initially has different requirements for the user. For example, when playing slots, you cannot show your skills in any way, since winning combinations are generated randomly, based on the established algorithms.  In card games you can already prove yourself stronger by using the right tactics at a distance. There are also entertainments where you only need to guess correctly. This applies to classic thimbles game casino offered on the 1xBet platform. This game, familiar to many since childhood, tests players’ ability to predict the right choice.

To try your hand at demo mode, users don’t need to create a profile or verify data. All this is required in a situation if you want to move from entertainment mode to full-fledged mode, when there is an opportunity to win real money. For that, users must be adults and provide accurate information, including age, email, and phone number. They can also create a profile through a social network account if desired. Thimbles game in an online casino and its additional characteristics

The thimbles game in an online casino appeals to those who appreciate simplicity in gambling, a low barrier to entry, and the ability to complete game rounds quickly.
