RCR Race Preview: Iowa Speedway

NASCAR Cup Series Racing in The Hawkeye State… Iowa Speedway will host the NASCAR Cup Series for the first time in track history this weekend for the Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol. The 7/8-mile facility opened for business in 2006 and successfully hosted the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Series from 2009 through 2019. The ARCA Menards Series has competed at the track in all but one season since the facility opened in 2006. RCR’s full roster of drivers (Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Austin Hill and Jesse Love) have previously competed at Iowa Speedway.

RCR: A Winning Tradition at Iowa Speedway… Richard Childress Racing has two wins at Iowa Speedway. Elliott Sadler won the 2012 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Iowa Speedway from the pole position while Austin Dillon was victorious in the 2010 Truck Series race at Iowa – also winning from the pole.

Catch the Action… NBC Sports begins its portion of the 2024 NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series this weekend at Iowa Speedway, highlighted by the Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol in primetime at 7 p.m. ET on USA Network. The race will be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

The HyVee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway will be televised live on Saturday, June 15 beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET on USA Network. The race will be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

Austin Dillon and the No. 3 Get Bioethanol Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Iowa Speedway… While this weekend marks the inaugural race for the NASCAR Cup Series at Iowa Speedway, Dillon has considerable experience at the track. In six NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Iowa Speedway, Dillon earned three top-five and four top-10 finishes. He is a NASCAR Truck Series race winner at the track, claiming his career-first Truck Series victory in dominate fashion in 2010 during his rookie year of competition in the series, and has two top-10s in three Truck Series starts at the track. Dillon has one top-five finish in one ARCA Menards Series start at Iowa Speedway, and two top-10 finishes in two NASCAR Pro Series East starts at the track. He has earned poles in both NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Series competition at Iowa Speedway.

Winning Memories… Dillon’s career-first NASCAR Truck Series win came at Iowa Speedway in 2010 driving the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. He led 187 of 200 laps in the race.

Delivering Performance on the Track and For the Planet… Dillon will race the Get Bioethanol Chevy at Iowa Speedway, showcasing the performance benefits of racing with earth kind and engine-smart bioethanol blended fuel, Sunoco Green E15. Whether it’s delivering cleaner and cooler high-octane on the racetrack or a more affordable option for summer road trips, plant-based bioethanol makes a positive impact on our planet. NASCAR drivers have now officially raced 23 million NASCAR miles driven on Sunoco Green E15, a notable milestone for the environment as NASCAR’s partnership with Get Bioethanol has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent across its three national touring series while also increasing horsepower on the track. Learn more about bioethanol at getbioethanol.com.

Meet Dillon… Dillon is scheduled to make an appearance at Casey’s General Store (4400 LA Speedway Drive, Newton, Iowa, 50208) on behalf of Get Bioethanol and Iowa Corn on Friday, June 14 at 12 p.m. local time. Stop by to meet the driver of the No. 3 Get Bioethanol Chevrolet in advance of the race weekend. Dillon is also scheduled to make a stop at the RCR Merchandise Hauler in the Iowa Speedway Fan Midway on Sunday at 1:20 p.m. local time.

AUSTIN DILLON QUOTE:

This weekend marks the first NASCAR Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway. What are your expectations?

“I love Iowa Speedway. It’s a place where I learned a lot about racing early in my career. I’ve been there multiple times in different series. Those Midwest fans really show up. It’s a kind of Field of Dreams mentality. You’re out in the middle of nowhere and everybody just shows up. It’s a cool track and had a lot of character the last time I was there. I’m interested to see what it’s like when we put the NASCAR Cup Series cars on it.”

Kyle Busch and the No. 8 zone Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Iowa Speedway… Kyle Busch will make his first NASCAR Cup Series start at Iowa Speedway this weekend when NASCAR’s premier series makes its debut at the 7/8-mile track. Busch has competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Pro Series East divisions at the Newton, Iowa track. He scored a dominating Xfinity Series victory in 2010, leading 209 of 250 laps (83.60 percent) and finishing with an average running position of 1.212. In 2009, Busch won the Pro Series East race from the pole, leading 168 of 200 laps in a race that also featured Busch’s current RCR teammate Austin Dillon plus 16 competitors from the Pro Series West division.

Stat of the Week… Busch will be making his 114th career short track start in the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend. The Las Vegas native enters the race with 17 wins and 69 top-10s, scoring a top-10 finish in an impressive 61.06 percent of those starts.

KYLE BUSCH QUOTES:

You have two NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Iowa Speedway, scoring a dominating victory in 2010 and a second-place finish in 2009. Is there anything from that past experience that you can use in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race?

“I have enjoyed my past races that I’ve run at Iowa Speedway. Running there in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and a NASCAR Pro Series East race there years ago was pretty fun. I think the track is going to be vastly different than I remember it with the old asphalt. The new asphalt in the various parts of the racetrack will make it way different.”

Is racing at Iowa Speedway similar to racing at Richmond Raceway?

“As similar as Iowa and Richmond are to each other in their size and how they look, the tracks are not even close to each other at all in how they race. I feel like the biggest challenges at Iowa with the Next Gen Cup car will be the aero deficiencies in traffic and how wide the new asphalt allows you to work your way outside of the wake of the other cars in front of you.”

Do you think adding another short track race to the NASCAR Cup Series schedule is a good thing?

“I have always been a supporter of short track racing and enjoy racing at the short tracks, but with this Next Gen Cup car, it is probably one of the biggest challenges we’ve ever had of putting on good racing at short tracks.”

Jesse Love and the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet Camaro SS at Iowa Speedway… Jesse Love will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Iowa Speedway on Saturday. The current Sunoco Rookie of the Year points leader has made four ARCA Menards Series starts at the 7/8-mile facility, posting one pole, one top-five and two top-10 finishes. Last season, Love started from the fifth position and crossed the finish line in third place.

About Whelen Engineering… Whelen Engineering is a family-owned company with a pioneering spirit and a passion to protect the lives of those who protect and serve others. Every part of every Whelen product is proudly designed and manufactured in America. We embrace quality as our foundation, we celebrate innovative engineering in every product we produce.

Meet Love… On Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m. local time, Love and his Richard Childress Racing teammate Austin Hill are scheduled to sign autographs at the RCR Merchandise Trailer in the Midway at Iowa Speedway. On Saturday, June 15 at 9:45 a.m. local time, the Menlo Park, California native will answer fan questions at the Team Chevy Display in the Midway at Iowa Speedway. Meet the rookie sensation before he takes the green flag and purchase your No. 2 gear.

JESSE LOVE QUOTE:

The Xfinity Series has not been at Iowa Speedway since 2019, but you have competed there for the last four years. What do you expect from this weekend’s race?

“The first time I raced at Iowa Speedway, I wasn’t great. The second time I went back, I was dominant – sat on the pole, led the most laps, and almost won the race, but our alternator died with four laps left. Iowa Speedway is a place that I understand well, but I do think the repave is going to change a lot of the characteristics. The repave has left a lot of question marks, so we will have to see how the track handles during practice. After talking to some other drivers who tested there, it’s interesting. You would think with the repave, the bottom would be tremendously faster, but it sounds like there is less grip. The progressive banking has increased, so I feel like a lot of things will be different this time around.”

Austin Hill and the No. 21 Bennett Transportation and Logistics Chevrolet Camaro SS at Iowa Speedway… Austin Hill will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, as the series returns to the Newton, Iowa facility for the first time since 2019. However, Hill has plenty of experience at the 7/8-mile facility, having competed in two NASCAR Truck Series (best finish of 12th) and six NASCAR Pro Series East (best finish of seventh) events.

About Bennett Family of Companies… McDonough-Ga. based Bennett Family of Companies is a woman-owned, Women’s Enterprise Business Council (WBENC) certified, diversified transportation and logistics company. Through its 14 affiliated operating companies, the Bennett Family of Companies delivers integrated transportation and supply chain management solutions worldwide. Bennett has 4,625 drivers/owner-operators, over 1,000 employees and 600 agents located across the United States. For more information, visit www.bennettig.com.

Meet Hill… On Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m. local time, Hill and his Richard Childress Racing teammate Jesse Love are scheduled to sign autographs at the RCR Merchandise Trailer in the Midway at Iowa Speedway. On Saturday, June 15 at 9:30 a.m. local time, the 30-year-old driver will answer fan questions at the Team Chevy Display in the Midway at Iowa Speedway. Stop by to purchase your new No. 21 gear and meet Hill before the green flag waves.

AUSTIN HILL QUOTE:

You haven’t raced at Iowa Speedway in a handful of years. What are your thoughts going into this weekend?

“I look forward to going back to Iowa Speedway for the first time in a few years. I’ve raced there a handful of times throughout my career, whether in the Truck Series or Pro Series East. The results haven’t always been the greatest, but I do like that the track is different than others that we go to. I’m interested to see what the repave has done to the surface and how it reacts to balance adjustments. I hope we will be able to keep the same racing, but time will tell. The practice session on Friday will be very important for our No. 21 team specifically, to get our balance right and the car dialed in for the race.”

About Leland: The Phoenix, Ariz. native began honing his racing skills at the tender age of two racing Quads. By four years old, he moved into Trophy Karts and then collected three series championships in off-road racing Trophy Karts.

After an instrumental tenure in Go Karts, he moved into the Bandolero competition in 2015 and was crowned a Bandolero National Champion two years later. From there, he moved into Limited Late Models before graduating to the Carolina Pro Late Model Series division in 2021, where he earned championship-runner-up honors and picked up an astounding victory in the annual Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway Fall Brawl.

Honeyman, 19, returns to the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization, where he ran an impressive ARCA Menards Series East Series campaign, finishing third in the 2022 championship standings.

During the 2023 season, he made eight NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, highlighted by a 21st-place finish at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway Road Course.

Leland Honeyman Jr. NASCAR Xfinity Series Iowa Speedway Stats: Saturday afternoon’s Hy-Vee PERKS 250 will mark Honeyman’s inaugural Xfinity Series start at the 0.875-mile nestled in Newton, Iowa.

Honeyman, however, does have one prior ARCA Menards Series East start at the Midwest short track. During his full-time campaign in the developmental series owned by NASCAR, Honeyman finished sixth after qualifying 12th in the 2022 Calypso Lemonade 150.

This weekend’s race, a tripleheader weekend with the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Cup Series will be Honeyman’s fifth career short track race of his young career.

The Xfinity Series rookie driver will look to improve his overall average finish of 25.3.

Leland Honeyman Jr. NASCAR Xfinity Career Stats: Entering Iowa, Honeyman has 22 career NASCAR Xfinity Series races to his credit, earning a career-best fourth-place finish at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway after starting 33rd in the Ag-Pro 300 for Young’s Motorsports in April 2024.

Since 2023, he has carried an average finish of 23.5.

Sonoma Raceway | Zip Buy Now, Pay Later 250 Race Recap: In the 14th race of the 2024 Xfinity Series season, Young’s Motorsports and Honeyman searched for another solid finish in the team’s inaugural trip to Wine Country in Sonoma, Calif.

Qualifying on speed in the 29th position last Saturday morning, Honeyman battled throughout the race to climb through the field with his No. 02 Young’s Building Systems Chevrolet Camaro.

Unfortunately, just following Stage 2, the Mooresville, N.C. team was plagued with power steering issues, which made the race extremely tough for their freshman driver. Honeyman persevered, however, and brought his Chevrolet Camaro home in 29th, one lap off the pace of race winner Shane van Gisbergen.

Calling the Shots: Guiding Honeyman Jr. as crew chief of the No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro is longtime crew chief Andrew Abbott.

On Saturday, he will be crew chief in his 112th NASCAR Xfinity Series race. In his previous 111 races, he has four top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.

The season’s 15th race will be his second tango in the Hawkeye State as crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

24 HOURS OF LE MANS: THE ISOTTA FRASCHINI DUQUEINE TEAM CLOSES THE FINAL FREE PRACTICE SESSION ON A HIGH NOTE

Final free practice sessions took place yesterday at the Circuit de la Sarthe, with rain possibly making the ultimate challenge even more difficult

Le Mans (France), June 14, 2024 – Yesterday (Thursday, June 13) was another day of testing and settings as the Isotta Fraschini Duqueine team’s number 11 car returned to the track in the early afternoon and then at night for the final two free practice sessions ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will start tomorrow, Saturday, June 15, at 4:00 PM (local time).

The car, which continues to improve its performance in terms of top speed, concluded the free practice sessions with drivers Jean-Karl Vernay, Carl Bennett, and Antonio Serravalle at the wheel, meeting the team’s expectations in the pits. The Tipo 6 LMH-C, which faced rain at the end of the evening session, performed well on the track, demonstrating excellent stability and grip even in wet conditions. This was a crucial test given the predicted thunderstorms that could make the endurance race even more challenging.

“We have given our best to achieve maximum reliability in the practice and qualifying sessions. Now we enter the heart of the 24 Hours and the much-anticipated challenge. Various factors will be decisive, including the weather conditions. It will be a highly competitive challenge, and we are eager to cross the finish line!” stated Team manager Max Favard.

Jean-Karl Vernay said, “I am so excited for tomorrow; it’s going to be fantastic, and I can’t wait! We must avoid mistakes and be ready for anything, thanks to the practice and qualifying sessions that have shown us what to focus on. This is very important as it helps us improve and have an increasingly solid preparation on the track. We are ready for the big challenge!”

Carl Bennett added, “I still remember when, during my karting days, I traveled by train, observing the Le Mans track under construction, driving the 24 Hours on simulators, and racing on the international karting track of Le Mans. Being on the Circuit de la Sarthe for the 24 Hours today is a dream come true. I can’t wait to take on this challenge with the team. The car keeps getting better, and so do my performances. With the end of practice, I know what to focus on in the race. My goal now is to reach the finish line, do my best, and avoid penalties or problems. I thank the Isotta Fraschini Duqueine team, the A14 management, my parents, and the sponsors who made all this possible.”

Antonio Serravalle commented, “This race is much more than I thought or have seen on TV. The most spectacular thing is the passion of the people! I am very satisfied with this week’s performance. We have trained more than usual to prepare for the 24 Hours. I really like the track and the history behind it; I can’t wait for it to start!”

The atmosphere is getting more tense and adrenaline-filled in Le Mans. Today, on the rest day, while the mechanics and engineers in the pits work to ensure the best possible performance on the track tomorrow, hundreds of thousands of spectators from all over the world will be able to participate in the traditional pre-event parade in the afternoon, where drivers will parade in historic cars through the city center.

There are only few hours left until the fourth round of this season’s WEC, the 101st edition of the world renowned endurance race, where the Isotta Fraschini team is ready to give their all during the 24 hours on the track.

Juicy burgers, classic sandwiches, gumbo, and salads round out travelers’ multitude of options, with a selection of convenient grab-and-go choices available, as well.

NASCAR Drafthouse visitors can also enjoy an impressive array of draft and canned beer that includes Anheuser-Busch products as well as wine and specialty cocktails like “The Caborita” and “The Checkered Flag,” featuring Cabo Wabo Tequila. The spirits menu even includes moonshine — a nod to NASCAR’s earliest days when numerous future race-car drivers got their start as moonshine runners, building fast cars to haul illegal moonshine throughout the Southeast. Alongside several Sugarlands Shine offerings, NASCAR Drafthouse also features Midnight Moon®, the award-winning moonshine inspired by the family recipe of legendary bootlegger and NASCAR Hall of Famer Junior Johnson. Of course, an abundance of non-alcoholic beverages are available, as well, including Coca-Cola and Monster Energy products.

NASCAR Drafthouse at St. Louis Lambert International Airport is open seven days a week from 4:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway Flips from Two Wheels to Four This Weekend

NHMS Operations team tackles unique challenge with Motorcycle Week at NHMS ending and NASCAR weekend camping opening Saturday ahead of June 21-23 events.

LOUDON, N.H. – The New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) Operations team is well versed in preparing the 1,200-acre property each year for Motorcycle Week at NHMS and NASCAR weekend, typically a month apart from each other. This year, however, the team faces a unique challenge with the two major annual events happening back-to-back, even overlapping by a day. On Saturday, NASCAR campers can occupy their campsites starting at 8 a.m. while Motorcycle Week riders enjoy the final day of demo rides and vendors on site.

“One of the things that helped us tremendously this year was not having a ton of snow that we had to wait until it melted to start prepping the property,” said New Hampshire Motor Speedway Senior Operations Manager Nick Duggan. “We were able to start getting grandstand banners and fence scrim put up a month earlier than normal as well as prepping the facility to open for track rentals in April. Coming in to this year, we had to reprioritize certain projects that we would normally do in between major events, because they all had to be completed prior to Motorcycle Week this time around.”

The careful planning and execution of logistics always plays a vital role in the success of hosting tens of thousands of visitors. This year, with NASCAR week beginning as Motorcycle Week ends, the need for well thought out plans was enormous, and some projects had to shift around to make both events work.

The motorcycle racing events had to move from their traditional spot during the second weekend of Motorcycle Week to the first to allow for the transition from one event to the next during the overlap weekend. As soon as last weekend’s racing ended, the NHMS Operations team went to work converting the racetrack from the 1.6-mile road course that the motorcycles compete on to the 1.058-mile oval that NASCAR’s stars race on. Air fence was cleared, the backstretch wall was closed and pit road was adjusted to include additional walls and tire packs.

In addition to balancing the logistics of preparing for two major outdoor events at the same time, factors such as unpredictable weather can throw a wrench in the most well thought out plans, creating the need for plans B, C and D.

“One of the biggest challenges is coordinating when vendors and contractors need to be here as well as battling weather conditions,” said Duggan. “We are almost constantly looking at the forecast.”

The pop-up showers and wind the past few weeks prevented tasks such as painting and banner hanging from being completed as originally planned, and the team had to shift gears to other tasks when those outdoor activities were on hold so as not to waste a single minute.

So, what exactly does it take to prepare a facility to host tens of thousands of fans for a major sporting event? Here’s a look at New England’s only NASCAR weekend, by the numbers:

One Mile of Temporary Fence: Serving as a temporary perimeter at The Flat Track and the TV compound, temporary fence is also utilized in other areas around property that need a certain area defined, such as the golf cart compound.

Four Mobile Office Containers: Office space is created using 8’x20’ metal boxes. These mobile office containers are used by NHMS’s catering partner Levy at its hospitality kitchen for office work, by infield security for check-in and daily assignments, behind “The Magic Mile” Stage to serve as a green room for talent and by the DHART Helicopter crew on standby at the helipad.

27 Generators: Ranging in size from 20kW – 400kW, generators are used to provide power all over NHMS grounds. They provide backup power for race control, the infield care center and the scoring pylon as well as providing power where there’s none in various areas such as the golf cart compound and food court.

30 Pieces of Rented Equipment: In addition to the equipment NHMS owns, a variety of different sized forklifts and construction equipment such as a skid steer, excavator and small ride-on sweepers to clean under the grandstands and roadways are rented to allow the NHMS Operations team to properly execute tasks.

50 Light Towers: Light towers are placed around speedway property at The Flat Track, for Friday night’s SIG SAUER Academy Dirt Duels event, and throughout campgrounds and parking lots for safety. They will also be used as crews clean the grandstands Friday and Saturday nights of NASCAR weekend.

68 Dumpsters: Dumpsters are placed throughout campgrounds and parking lots so race fans and vendors can help keep their area clean for everyone.

The scale of waste management at events like this is no small feat. For large-scale cleanups and construction projects away from the track — whether clearing out a garage, renovating a tailgate space, or managing debris from a big project — services like Trash Daddy Dumpsters make the job straightforward, offering reliable roll-off rentals that keep any project site as clean as race day.

100 Hours Spent Mowing: With 1,200 acres of land – much of it covered in grass – crews spent more than 100 hours mowing to ensure campers are pleased with their home-away-from-home and the property is clean-cut and ready to welcome race fans.

340 Signs: Ranging in size from 6”x6” to 4’x8,’ directional signage and property maps are placed in all areas of the facility to help guide race fans to different areas they want to get to such as the Fan Zone, Rock Point, their grandstand seats, campgrounds and tram stops. There is also a plethora of informational signage placed in key areas to inform race fans of permitted and prohibited items, free fan Wi-Fi, driver appearances, ticket renewal information and other general event-specific information.

1,500 Gallons of Paint: A fresh coat of paint is always at the top of the to-do list for the racetrack wall, walkways, parking lot lines, buildings and laying out campsites.

2,000 Feet of Bike Fence: Whether it’s lined up to keep fans safe along the catchfence of the racetrack, defining ticket entry ways, outlining hospitality areas or corralling media members who want to grab an interview with the drivers, bike fence is utilized all over NHMS property for a variety of needs.

2,000 Safety Cones: Mostly used to help guide traffic efficiently on and off property, safety cones are also used to block off areas such as the Fan Zone, so race fans can walk around freely without worrying about cars.

50,000 Square Feet of Banners: Whether it’s extra-large grandstand banners promoting kids tickets or commemorating a retiring broadcaster, scrim lining along fences creating privacy or banners on flag poles welcoming race fans to “The Magic Mile,” banners are in no short supply.

150,000 Pounds of Concrete Weights: Placed all over property, concrete weights are used to hold down anything that has the potential to blow away or fall over with a gust of wind, such as temporary fence or vendor pop-up tents.

New England’s only NASCAR weekend is June 21-23 at NHMS. On-track action kicks off Friday with practice and qualifying sessions for the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) plus SIG SAUER Academy Dirt Duels at The Flat Track. The action continues with NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) qualifying, the SciAps 200 NXS race and Mohegan Sun 100 NWMT race on Doubleheader Saturday and culminates with the NCS taking on “The Magic Mile” Sunday for the USA TODAY 301.

TPC Racing Brings Two-Car Cayman Effort to VIRginia International Raceway for Mid-Season Porsche Sprint Challenge Doubleheader

  • Shaun McKaigue Ready to Return to Podium Form at VIR in His No. 34 TPC Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport
  • Evan Hinkle Set for Season Debut at VIR in the No. 77 Monoflo International Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport

DANVILLE, Virginia (June 14, 2024) – TPC Racing has arrived at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) for the Porsche Sprint Challenge by Yokohama mid-season doubleheader race weekend with team drivers Shaun McKaigue and Evan Hinkle. This weekend’s races start at 1:40 p.m. EDT on Saturday and 9 a.m. EDT on Sunday and can be viewed live on the Porsche Motorsport North America YouTube channel at Youtube.com/@PorscheMotorsportNorthAmerica, as well as the series website at PorscheSprint.com.

McKaigue is contesting the full Sprint Challenge Cayman Masters Championship this year in his No. 34 TPC Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. He nicely rebounded from an incident early in the weekend in the most recent doubleheader at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) for a pair of seventh-place finishes. Now, McKaigue looks forward to returning at VIR to the top-three podium form that produced a pair of second-place finishes in the race prior to COTA at Barber Motorsports Park.

McKaigue makes his first visit to VIR in several years, but he and his TPC Racing teammates are benefitting from a full weekday schedule at the track leading into this weekend’s race. Unofficial test days Wednesday and Thursday provided ample laps around the Southern Virginia circuit that will go a long way in refamiliarizing McKaigue and the team with the 3.27-mile VIR circuit.

The VIR Sprint Challenge weekend marks the season debut of second-year TPC Racing driver Evan Hinkle in the TPC Racing No. 77 Monoflo International Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. Hinkle once again trades off races this season with Monoflo teammate Tillman Schmid in the No. 77, but his busy schedule has kept him out of the car until VIR for the second-straight year.

Last year at VIR, Hinkle came out swinging and finished third in Saturday’s opening sprint in his competition debut on racing slick tires. The solid debut was not only a strong showing for Hinkle but also earned some valuable team championship points that later proved to be key in TPC Racing clinching the 2023 Sprint Challenge Cayman Pro-Am Team Championship.

The weekend’s twin races can be viewed live on the Porsche Motorsport North America YouTube channel at Youtube.com/@PorscheMotorsportNorthAmerica, as well as the series website at PorscheSprint.com. The first race starts at 1:40 p.m. EDT this Saturday with Sunday’s final scheduled to go green at 9 a.m. EDT.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “It’s great to be back at VIR for the halfway race of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America season. The TPC Racing team has worked hard between COTA and now to put together two really good cars to fight with come Saturday and Sunday. Right now, we are just getting our testing in and getting Shaun and Evan up to speed with the car and the track. Evan drove here last year, and Shaun hasn’t been here in several years, so we are just working on getting everybody on pace. We are hoping to come away with some more solid points, hopefully some podiums, and take the momentum forward throughout the year.”

Shaun McKaigue, Driver, No. 34 TPC Racing Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport: “Honestly, the last time I was here there was no asphalt in the infield! It was quite a while ago! I am pretty much learning it again, it’s a spectacular track, a real challenge, and we are trying to move forward incrementally. The guys at TPC Racing are doing a spectacular job for us. We are just trying to make improvements every session, and we are, and we want to put together a good solid weekend and get some solid results. The championship is always in the back of my mind a little bit, but I think what you need to do is put together good, solid showings at each event, walk away with whatever points I can get, and be happy.”

About TPC Racing: TPC Racing is the Mid-Atlantic’s premier maintenance, service, tuning and modification center dedicated solely to Porsche sportscars. TPC Racing specializes in R&D and sales of high-performance modifications for Porsche sports cars and race cars, offering a wide range of vehicle upgrades. Best known for a line of forced induction solutions for the Porsche 911, Cayman and Boxster, a long-time focus on only one make, Porsche, has enabled TPC Racing to become experts in Porsche service, tuning, and racing. In 2000, TPC Racing began entering races under its own banner, scoring an SGS-class Championship in 2004 in the Grand-American Rolex Series and was a class winner in the 2006 Rolex 24 At Daytona, and captured the 2013 and 2016 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA Gold Cup Championships. Critical Function of UX Design in Online Casinos

Photo by Chris Liverani on Unsplash

The user interface (UI) of an online casino plays a crucial role in either attracting and retaining players or turning them away to competing sites. As the online gambling industry grows more crowded, casinos are investing heavily in UX design to stand out and provide the best possible user experience. This article will explore why UI design quality matters so much in online gambling at Lucky Hunter Casino and how casinos are innovating to connect with users.

The Rise of Online Casinos

Online casinos have exploded in popularity over the last decade. By 2026, the global online gambling market is projected to be worth $127.3 billion, more than double its size in 2020 ($64.8 billion) (1). This growth is being fueled by several key factors:

  • Increased internet and smartphone access globally
  • Advancements in encryption and cybersecurity for payments
  • Regulatory shifts legalizing online gambling in many countries
  • Innovations in live dealer and virtual reality casino games

With this rapid expansion, competition between online casinos continues to intensify. Operators are battling to attract new sign-ups and retain loyal players on their platforms. This is where user experience design enters the equation.

Why UI/UX Design Matters in Online Gambling

In a crowded market, an operator’s UX can be the difference between success and failure. Consider these key reasons why UI/UX is critical for online casinos:

It Builds Trust and Credibility

For any gambling operator, establishing trust with players is essential. A clean, intuitive interface design demonstrates professionalism and helps players feel secure sharing personal financial information required to play real-money games. If a site seems outdated or glitchy, it appears less credible.

It Enhances Ease-of-Use

Players expect a seamless experience across desktop and mobile. Complex navigation or confusing layouts mean friction finding games, making deposits, accessing support, and more. Intuitive information architecture and interaction flows remove this friction keeping players happily engaged.

It Drives Adoption of New Features

As casinos rapidly innovate with new games and features like VR, live dealers and tournament modes, UX design ensures players actually leverage these offerings. Poorly executed interfaces will hide new experiences. Smart UI/UX design seamlessly promotes discovery and teaches first-time users.

It Builds Engagement and Loyalty

The longer players stay on a site, the more revenue casinos earn. Poor UX design causes frustration and increases bounce rates. By crafting rewarding experiences, designers promote longer visits and bring players back more often. Loyalty means higher lifetime player value.

Innovating the Online Casino UX

Industry leaders are pushing new ideas to separate themselves in the market by crafting engaging, personalized player journeys. Here are a few emerging UX casino innovations:

Dynamic Game Menus

Static menus quickly become boring for players. New designs feature dynamic and interactive game menus which better promote discovery of new options. These tools tap behavioral analysis to surface personalized recommendations to match interests.

Intelligent Notifications

Push notifications risk annoying players if overused. “Intelligent” notifications only deploy when they bring true value like reminding someone of an unclaimed bonus or upcoming tournament start time. Relevance is key.

Multi-Screen Responsiveness

Modern players engage across desktop, tablets and mobile phones. Ensuring UX consistency and seamless transitions as customers switch devices is table stakes. Intuitive gesture controls and swipe patterns refine touchscreen gambling.

Social Sharing and Community

While gambling is often solitary, some seek community. New features like live group chats and ability to share big wins on social networks satisfy this motivation. Integration with streaming platforms also allows players to broadcast gameplay.

Key Takeaways

As online gambling expands globally, the competition for players continues to intensify. A casino’s user interface and overall UX design play a pivotal role in breaking through the noise. Players demand seamless, visually appealing and intuitive experiences across devices. Operators who neglect UX risk high bounce rates and losing loyalty to sites offering superior design. To stand out, casinos must invest in understanding key user behaviors and craft targeted interfaces that feel personalized, engaging and rewarding for their customers. The future favors creative thinking grounded in real user insights to craft the next generation of gambling interfaces.

Risks and Rewards of Private Betting

The internet has revolutionized many industries, not the least of which is gambling. Online casinos, sportsbooks, and poker sites have made betting faster, more convenient, and often more affordable than their brick-and-mortar counterparts. However, internet gambling comes with risks to personal privacy that land-based gaming does not. This raises an important question: is the convenience of online betting worth the loss of privacy? Or would anonymous gambling at Spin Palace Casino provide the perfect compromise?

What is Anonymous Gambling?

Anonymous gambling refers to any form of online betting where the player’s real identity is concealed. This is typically achieved using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to deposit and withdraw funds without providing personal financial information. Players may also route their internet connection through proxy servers or VPNs to prevent tracking of their IP address or device data.

The main goal of anonymous gambling is to sever the link between the player’s real-world identity and their betting activities. This protects the privacy of recreational bettors who wish to wager online without creating a permanent record accessible to hackers, government agencies, or nosy relatives. It also appeals to advantage players like card counters who risk being banned if casinos can connect their wins to their personal information.

The Potential Benefits of Private Betting

Choosing to gamble anonymously has several potential upsides:

1. Financial Privacy

By using cryptocurrency and other decentralized payment methods, anonymous gambling allows you to keep your banking and credit card information private as well. You do not have to trust offshore gaming sites with sensitive financial data. Transfers occur directly between digital wallets without middlemen.

2. Avoiding Stigma

Although public perceptions have improved, gambling still carries a social stigma in many circles. Anonymous betting enables you to enjoy online casinos, sports betting, poker, and other gaming activities without fear of personal or professional judgment. Your interest or participation in gambling remains completely confidential.

3. Multi-Accounting

Anonymous platforms make it easier for advantage players to create multiple accounts, referred to as “multi-accounting.” This allows techniques like bonus arbitrage, where the same player takes advantage of signup offers and incentives across different sites. High-level pros also use multiple accounts to conceal their betting patterns and avoid detection.

The Downsides of Anonymous Betting

Of course, there are also risks associated with internet gambling that anonymity exacerbates:

1. Fewer Legal Protections

One disadvantage of choosing an anonymous gambling platform is that you enjoy far fewer legal protections. Regulated online casinos and sportsbooks operating legally within the US market are obligated to verify player identities and allow money withdrawals. Underground sites located offshore frequently refuse to pay out winnings while shielding themselves from consequences.

2. Higher Fraud Risk

Anonymous sites also pose a higher risk of outright stealing player deposits through rigged games and other fraudulent tactics. Reputable gambling providers in legal jurisdictions offer player protections through fair gaming commissions and certification processes. Players have little recourse against anonymous casinos operating unregulated in the black market.

3. Self-Control Issues

Anonymity enables problematic tendencies like chasing losses without accountability. Platforms that do not verify your identity have no mechanism to detect and intervene in cases of compulsive or underage gambling the way regulated providers can. Players must self-regulate, which addiction experts consider difficult.

4. Cryptocurrency Volatility

While cryptocurrency facilitates anonymous payments, it comes with massive volatility. The value of crypto like Bitcoin often changes by 10-20% day-to-day. This creates currency risk, as any winnings may lose significant buying power between the time you earn them and when you go to spend them.

Is Anonymous Gambling Right for You?

Anonymous betting comes with both benefits and risks to weigh against your priorities and risk tolerance:

Consider anonymous gambling if:

  • You highly value privacy and confidentiality while gambling online
  • You worry about becoming a victim of fraud or hacking
  • You wish to avoid any social stigma associated with gambling

Avoid anonymous sites if:

  • You prefer the legal protections and oversight that regulated gaming sites provide
  • You have issues with gambling addiction or self-control
  • You are not comfortable with cryptocurrency volatility

As with most aspects of internet privacy vs convenience, there are reasonable arguments on both sides of whether anonymous gambling is right for the average player. Fortunately, alternatives like using an e-wallet still allow you to maintain some privacy while playing on regulated sites. Educate yourself on the pros and cons before you decide if betting incognito is worth the risks.

Why Online Casinos Are the Future of Gaming

Photo by Aidan Howe on Unsplash

The online casino industry has seen massive growth in recent years. In 2021 alone, the global online gambling market was valued at over $92 billion. This upward trend is expected to continue, with some estimates predicting the market will reach $127 billion by 2027. There are a few key reasons for this growth: increased technology, regulation, and a new generation of players. However, one of the most significant factors driving interest is the rise of multiplayer casino games.

Furthermore, the immersive experience provided by platforms like 1xbet live casino has revolutionized the way players engage with online gambling. These live casino games offer real-time interaction with professional dealers and other players, replicating the thrill of a physical casino from the comfort of one’s home, thereby attracting more enthusiasts to the online gaming world.

Multiplayer games at Unibet Casino create a social atmosphere that resembles playing in a real casino. They allow players to interact with others, adding an exciting competitive or collaborative element that solo games lack. As we spend more time online, people crave these social connections. Multiplayer casinos deliver that in a format that retains the thrills and entertainment of wagering.

This article will explore why multiplayer games are the future of online casinos by looking at critical metrics in the industry, the advantages they provide, and what users can expect going forward.

Key Metrics Show Multiplayer Games’ Rising Popularity

Several key metrics highlight the growing popularity of multiplayer casino titles:

  • Market Size – The multiplayer game segment is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 13% from 2022 to 2028. It will reach a value of over $3 billion in that timeframe.
  • Session Length – Multiplayer games boast over 28% longer session lengths than single-player options. The social competition and cooperation increase time on site.
  • Revenue Generated – On average, multiplayer games generate 23% higher revenue per user than solo game types. Their ability to attract bigger deposits is a major asset.

As seen above, engagement and earnings potential is far higher for multiplayer games. Players are drawn to these titles, while casinos can monetize them better. This trend shows no signs of slowing down.

Benefits of Playing Multiplayer Casino Games

It’s clear multiplayer casino games are here to stay, but what drives their success? These titles provide some major advantages:

  • More Excitement – Head-to-head battles, collaborative team challenges, and in-game chat heighten the excitement level substantially. Competition can be thrilling while chatting creates a lively social vibe.
  • Bigger Rewards – Many multiplayer games offer networked prize pools or tournaments with huge payout potential. Top prizes can reach into the millions, much higher than any solo game jackpots.
  • Improved Strategizing – Multiplayer variants allow cooperating with others to achieve shared objectives. This opens up far more strategic possibilities than single-player games.

The overall experience becomes so much more engaging. Players are invested in beating opponents, working together on teams, and socializing. Financial incentives tied to these goals make for an extremely rewarding experience as well.

What the Future Holds for Multiplayer Games

Given the overwhelming momentum behind multiplayer casinos, what can players expect going forward? Developers recognize these titles’ potential and are devoting more resources to bigger and better iterations.

Here are two significant advancements on the horizon:

  • Next-Level Graphics and Effects – Game studios want to maximize immersion in these virtual worlds with sharper graphics, more camera angles, and cinematic effects. Picture poker tournaments set in stunning venues with dynamic cutscenes.
  • VR and AR Integration – Virtual reality and augmented reality present exciting opportunities to elevate multiplayer casinos. Imagine a full VR poker room where you see avatar opponents in 3D speaking to each other. The next generation of games will aim for this level of integration.

As technology improves, so too will the scope of these titles. However, the core appeal lies in playing against or with others in a race to victory.

Ready to Give Multiplayer Games a Try?

Multiplayer casinos provide a taste of the future. The numbers show these games dominate player traffic and revenue. When you experience the camaraderie and excitement for yourself, it’s easy to understand why.

Competing against opponents in blackjack or cooperating with a live team in a quest game takes things to another level. Social connections make gaming more enjoyable while big jackpot networks offer immense rewards.

With developers devoting more resources to these titles, the quality and innovation will continue improving. For a modern casino experience that interweaves social gaming and wagering, multiplayer is the way forward. The next time you visit your favorite online casino, try joining a tournament or multiplayer variant. It could kickstart your next big winning streak.
