Knight Motorsports Management To Help Unemployed In Racing Through ‘HERE I AM’ Campaign

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (April 22, 2011) – – Officials from Mooresville, North Carolina-based Knight Motorsports Management (KMM) officially announced today their commitment to helping the unemployed in the racing community through their “HERE I AM” program available at Knightmm.com or ChrisKnightpr.com. http://www.chrisknightpr.com/

The “HERE I AM” program inspired by KMM president Chris Knight is offering those currently unemployed in all positions and series of the Motorsports community an opportunity to post their resume online; free of charge hoping to spark potential interest in team management personnel or others looking for help in the racing arena. The mission behind the project is simple; to try to help put the experienced, dedicated and honest people back to work at the shop or at the race track.

Anyone wishing to submit their resume to the “HERE I AM” program can submit their resume in PDF format only (other files forms will not be accepted) to hereiam@chrisknightpr.com, where it will reviewed by KMM officials to determine it meets the specific criteria to be posted in that section. Once approved, the resume will be posted defined by their specialty.

“I enjoy helping people and this is another way of doing it,” said KMM president Chris Knight. “I’ve been so blessed to be apart of the sport I love and this is an opportunity not only beneficial to the teams but hopefully to those looking to get their foot back in the door in racing too. I know a lot of my friends in racing that are praying for a job back at the shop or at the track. Hopefully this helps a little.”

Knight added, “We’re not profiting – nor looking to earn a metal or notoriety from this project. All we’re doing is willing to help those who are in need. If we can help at least one person from this campaign, it will be successful. Hopefully though, it will be a lot more. We’ll keep the section live on the site until each resume is taken down because they are back doing what they love.”

Kim Castongia, vice president of KMM wasn’t surprised by Knight’s initiative. “For those who know Chris, he always puts and thinks of others before himself. We have a strong and dedicated team at KMM and (we) support him completely in this new project. It’s definitely one of a kind and I only hope people will take it seriously and really help us spread the word.”

“Here I Am” is diligently displayed at the top banner of the company’s website.

Currently, Knight Motorsports Management offers professional motorsports services in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, IZOD IndyCar Series (IICS), NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS), NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS), NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) and the USARacing Pro Cup Series.
