DARLINGTON, SC (May 6, 2011)-Looking to build on momentum from a season-best effort last weekend in Richmond, Rusty Wallace Racing’s Steve Wallace (No. 66 5-Hour Energy Toyota Camry) was among the top-ten fastest in this morning’s single practice session for tonight’s Royal Purple 200 at Darlington Raceway.
Wallace’s best lap of 28.855 seconds (170.425 MPH) placed him seventh fastest of the 43 cars taking time in the session. That lap was the 56th of his 57 laps in the session.
Wallace enters the Darlington event ranked second overall in points scored over the last three races at the South Carolina track.
Meanwhile, teammate Michael Annett posted the 18th fastest time of the day-29.144 seconds (168.735 MPH)-on the 26th of his 53 laps.
Tonight’s Royal Purple 200 is scheduled for a 7:30 PM ET start. The event features live television coverage by ESPN2, starting with NASCAR Countdown, at 7:00 PM ET.
