No. 11 Shore Lodge Team Notes of Interest

Brian Scott and the No. 11 Shore Lodge Toyota team prepare for a track for which Scott has a great affinity as the NASCAR Nationwide Series travels to Chicagoland Speedway for Saturday night’s running of the STP 300.

Scott has only one career start at the 1.5-mile Chicagoland Speedway and it was a successful outing. Scott picked up a third-place finish after starting the race from the 18th position.

Scott’s No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota will feature a different look and sponsor for this weekend’s 300-mile race at Chicago. The car will feature a yellow and red schematic with Sandvik Coromant being the primary sponsor of the No. 11 Toyota Camry. Sandvik Coromant has been an exclusive technical sponsor to Joe Gibbs Racing since 2006, and provides tooling and metal cutting products and the expert services necessary to manufacture thousands of race car and engine components. Sandvik Coromant is a world-leading supplier of cutting tools and tooling systems for the metalworking industry and is represented in 130 countries.

The No. 11 Sandvik Coromant team will introduce a new chassis for this weekend’s race at Chicagoland Speedway. Chassis #125 will make its 2011 NASCAR season debut. Chassis #106 will serve as the backup. This car has not yet been raced in 2011.

Last Race: Scott’s broke his bad-luck streak with a season-best finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway last weekend. Scott earned a season-best eighth-place finish. It was a hard-fought finish as Scott had to overcome a pit road penalty that was assessed to the team just before the halfway point of the race. Patience and perseverance worked to Scott’s advantage and he went on to pick up his third top-10 finish of the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Scott remains ninth in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver point standings. He is 13 points out of eighth place and 62 points out of the top five. Elliott Sadler continues to lead the championship point standings but by a much slimmer margin. He currently owns a one point lead ahead of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. • To access information on Brian Scott and No. 11 Team visit: www.joegibbsracing.com and follow twitter.com/bscottracing and twitter.com/joegibbsracing.

Scott Quotes Racing at Chicago:

Chicago treated me really well there last year. I’m looking forward to going back and going back with the Gibbs organization. With these new cars, it will be a little different around there, but I’m confident that we’ll have good speed off the trailer and we’ll make improvements on it during the practice. Hopefully, have a good race like we had last year and get another top five.
