Jeremy Frankoski Ready To Hammer Down

HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (June 9, 2011) – – The second NorthEastern Midget Association (NEMA) event of the year is set for this weekend at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, New Hampshire but former USAC Ford Focus Carolina champion Jeremy Frankoski is ready to hammer down.

Boosting his readiness on the heels of a top-three finish in the season-opener at Waterford Speedbowl, the 24-year old is aiming for his first win of the season driving for Adam Cantor Racing (ACR).

Frankoski, the Huntersville, North Carolina resident has been steadily preparing for the second race of the season – despite the downtime between the two events. Significant communication with his ACR team has the entire confidence level high heading into Saturday’s race.

“I’ve never been to Twin State Speedway but Adam Cantor Racing has so that’s comforting for me heading into the race. We had a good showing at Waterford, but as any team would, we would like to win. We’re definitely going to give it a shot this weekend.”

Frankoski and the ACR didn’t entirely stay dormant during NEMA’s off-time. Last month, the team qualified for the historic Night Before the 500, a USAC Mopar Midget race at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

The team had an impressive showing in their No. 7NY IGA / Lucas Oil Mopar but mechanical problems during the event forced a less than satisfying finish. Still, the team in their first ever attempt at the contest out-qualified several veterans racers and teams.

“I’m proud of what we accomplished as a team,” Frankoski said. “We came in against the odds but we qualified solid and had a good run going, but sometimes you just can’t control mechanical failures. We’ll look to make up for what we lost at Twin State Speedway.”

He finished off by saying, “this will be our third race together and with every race we are making gains. We still have a lot of room to grow but I’m excited to see what the rest of the season brings.”

In two consecutive years with NEMA, Frankoski has tallied 27 starts, one win, nine top-fives and 18 top-10 finishes.
