Talladega, Get Ready! Coca-Cola Is Revving Up for the Coca-Cola 250 Powered By fred’s Super Dollar

Coca-Cola Teams with Talladega to Refresh Race Fans During Camping World Truck Series Race

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Coca-Cola is taking the driver’s seat as the new title sponsor of the Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, and fred’s Super Dollar is joining the ride. For the newly christened Coca-Cola 250 Powered By fred’s, racing fans can count on having plenty of ice cold Coca-Cola on hand as they enjoy the action on the track.  The October 22 event marks the first time Coca-Cola will be the official sponsor of a race at Talladega.

“This is Coca-Cola’s first year as the Official Soft Drink of Talladega Superspeedway, and for them to step up and sponsor a race speaks volumes to the strength of the Talladega brand and the loyalty of our thousands of fans,” said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch.

“We look forward to continuing this great partnership between our two companies.”   Earlier this season, fans were able to enjoy Coca-Cola at Talladega for the first time when the track hosted its season opening NASCAR Sprint Cup race on April 17.  For the Coca-Cola 250 Powered By fred’s, shoppers at fred’s Super Dollar will have the chance to win one of 250 pairs of tickets to the race. In addition, 25 winners will also receive a VIP experience, including concession vouchers.  Fans can enter the sweepstakes at their local fred’s Super Dollar or online at www.cokeplaytowin.com/fredsfrom Aug. 8 to Oct. 9.

“For NASCAR fans, few things could be more fun than soaking up the action at their favorite track with a refreshing Coca-Cola in hand. Unless, of course they were enjoying all the excitement for free!” said Ben Reiling, Director, Motorsports, Coca-Cola North America.  “At the Coca-Cola 250 Powered By fred’s, we’re offering fans who shop at fred’s Super Dollar the chance to spend the day opening some happiness at the Talladega Superspeedway, and it’s all on us.”

NASCAR action returns to NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track with the Coca-Cola 250 Powered By fred’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race and Race Number Six in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Talladega 500, Oct. 21 – 23.
