JASON WHITE POSTS TRACK-BEST FINISH AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY

Race: Lucas Deep Clean 200

Location: Nashville Superspeedway

Starting Position: 9th

Finishing Position: 12th

Owner Points Position: 16th

Huntersville, NC (7-25-11) – In his seventh NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Nashville Superspeedway, Jason White brought home Joe Denette Motorsports sixth top-15 finish of 2011, finishing 12th in the Lucas Deep Clean 200. The solid finish was the veteran driver’s career best finish at the 1.333-mile concrete oval.

Starting 9th, White spent the first 100 laps inside the top-10, running as high as seventh before making a two tire pit stop on lap 104 under caution. The bold call by crew chief Chad Kendrick allowed White to restart second with 44 laps remaining in the 150-lap event. Making it four-wide going into turn-one, the veteran driver was scored eighth just one lap later and shuffled back to 12th by lap 120.

White held onto his position for the remaining 30 laps to bring home a 12th-place finish behind race winner, Austin Dillion.

Jason White Quotes:

” Obviously, this wasn’t the finish we were expecting tonight. We had a sporty truck all weekend, but our GunBroker.com Chevrolet was really good on long runs, which worked well for us during the first 100 laps of the race. We made that two tire pit stop with less than 50 to go, and I thought we were sitting pretty for another top-five finish because we were good to go on fuel. However, I went four wide on the restart and lost a lot of track position. We feel back to 12th and just never were able to get back up there.”

“I really feel like we are starting to turn this program around for the second half of the season. We are unloading a solid top-10 truck every weekend, making minor adjustments during practice to get the trucks dialed-in and a solid contender during the race, week in and week out. It’s just a matter of time before we are consistently running in the top-five every weekend and contending for wins.”
