NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race 13 of 25 – Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis

SADLER AT INDY: Elliott Sadler will climb into the driver’s seat of the No. 2 Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet Silverado for the AAA Insurance 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis Friday night. This will be Sadler’s second consecutive appearance in the No. 2 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) entry and his sixth appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the 2011 season. The Emporia, Va., native has yet to compete at the 0.686-mile facility in the Truck Series, but has three starts under his belt in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The veteran driver has earned two top-five and two top-10 finishes at the track and has led a total of 56 laps between those three events.

INDIANAPOLIS ACHIEVEMENTS: Six different drivers have competed at Lucas Oil Raceway for KHI during the past seven seasons. With 11 starts, the organization has three wins, six top-five and seven top-10 finishes and a total of 439 laps led at the short track. The KHI stable holds an average starting position of 10.1 with an average finish position of 8.1 at the oval track.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 2 crew will roll out chassis No. 057 when they head to Lucas Oil Raceway. This chassis has been utilized twice in competition during the 2011 Truck Series season, once when KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick drove it to a fourth-place finish at Dover (Del.) International Speedway and most recently when David Mayhew captured a third-place finish at Iowa Speedway.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Elliott Sadler returned to the driver’s seat of the No. 2 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) Chevrolet Silverado for his second appearance at Nashville Superspeedway and fifth race in the Truck Series this season. The veteran driver qualified the No. 2 Bully Hill Vineyards Chevrolet in the third position for the Lucas Deep Clean 200 last Friday and ran near the front of the pack for the majority of the race. As the end of the 150-lap event approached, Sadler’s Silverado became loose, leaving the driver to battle against his truck as well as other competitors as he drove to a ninth-place finish at the 1.33-mile facility.

SADLER’S THOUGHTS ON LUCAS OIL RACEWAY:

What are your thoughts heading into the race at Lucas Oil Raceway?

“This will be my very first Truck Series start at the track but I’m looking forward to it. I have a few Nationwide Series starts but I haven’t competed there in a few years. It is always a good race though at Lucas Oil Raceway. It’s an exciting race for both the fans and the drivers with people wrapped all the way around the track. It’s a really cool experience to have the fans so close to the track and all the action. We are going to have a really good truck at LOR, and I’m thrilled to have Hunt Brothers Pizza back on board the No. 2 KHI Chevrolet.”
