Race: Kroger 200
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: 23 of 25
Track: Martinsville Speedway
Date: October 29, 2011
Johanna Long and the No. 20 Panhandle Grading & Paving team will head north to Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 29, 2011 for the Kroger 200. Coverage of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event will begin live on SPEED at 2:00 pm EDT. Fans can also tune into MRN Radio at 1:45 pm EDT for more racing coverage.
Martinsville Speedway – After coming off a strong run at Talladega Superspeedway, Long is eager to get back to her roots of short track racing at the 1.5-mile bull-ring. This will be Long’s third NCWTS start at Martinsville Speedway. Her best finish at Martinsville is 18th which took place on April 2, 2011.
Johanna on Martinsville –
“Martinsville is by far one of my favorite tracks. I had a blast racing at Talladega last weekend, but nothing compares to a good short track. Our No. 20 Toyota Tundra was strong here back in April, so hopefully we’ll have another fast truck this weekend. Everything happens so fast on 1.5-mile tracks so as long as we stay of trouble and be there at the end, it should be another good race and finish for the Panhandle Motorsports team.”
Last Race Recap – Long took to the track of Talladega Superspeedway last Saturday for the first time of her young career in the NCWTS. After qualifying 8th, she stayed inside the top-ten for more than half of the 94-lap race and was able to salvage an impressive 16th-place finish.
Marketing Opportunities – Long and the No. 20 Panhandle Motorsports team are currently seeking sponsors for the 2012 NCWTS season. For more information on sponsorship opportunities, you can contact Panhandle Motorsports.
