DARLINGTON, S.C. (April 23, 2012) – Race fans who want to get up close and personal with today’s NASCAR stars, look no further than Darlington Raceway’s hospitality options for 2012.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin and defending Bojangles’ Southern 500 champion Regan Smith are scheduled to participate in 15-minute question and answer sessions for race fans in the track’s Darlington Stripe Zone Hospitality Club on Saturday, May 12, prior to the running of the Bojangles’ Southern 500.
For fans that have not yet purchased a Stripe Zone hospitality package, this is the opportunity to see NASCAR drivers firsthand, while enjoying the amenities of the all-inclusive experience the Stripe Zone has to offer.
For $140 per package (plus the cost of a grandstand ticket), fans receive a pre-race cold pit pass (shirt and shoes required), full meal and snacks, unlimited non-alcohol beverage service until the scheduled race start, four beer coupons, a commemorative event souvenir, event program and live entertainment. Combine that with scheduled driver appearances by Gordon, Hamlin and Smith and it’s the perfect package for a race fan. Times for the driver appearances are yet to be determined.
“Our Darlington Stripe Zone hospitality packages are very popular with fans,” Darlington Raceway Director of Corporate Sales Jeff Taylor said. “Now, having great drivers like Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin and Regan Smith make appearances adds to the tremendous value of the Stripe Zone package while giving the fans a great all-inclusive experience for their race day.”
In addition to the Stripe Zone, Darlington Raceway also offers a hospitality option for race fans on Friday, May 11, prior to the Nationwide Series VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200. The T4 Zone hospitality package offers a similar all-inclusive experience with scheduled driver appearances by AJ Allmendinger and Nationwide Series regular Justin Allgaier.
