[media-credit name=”mis.com” align=”alignright” width=”200″][/media-credit]BROOKLYN, Mich. (May 18, 2012) – Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Michigan International Speedway is now in the palm of your hand.
Just in time for Saturday’s Great Lakes Wine and Beer Fest presented by the Jackson County CVB, the speedway has launched DISCOVER MIS, its official app for mobile phones.
DISCOVER MIS is available for all Android and iPhone users. The ease and functionality will enhance the guest experience at MIS.
“Many of our guests are new to our facility and are still familiarizing themselves to Michigan International Speedway,” speedway President Roger Curtis said. “We pride ourselves on providing superior guest services and educating our guests about the racetrack and NASCAR, and this downloadable app will help us do that.”
DISCOVER MIS explains how to purchase tickets, has maps and details for the speedway’s campgrounds and guidelines for admission to all the great events at the track, among other cool features.
But veteran guests can use it, too.
The track has pinned more than 500 locations to help every guest enjoy their visit to MIS. Guests can find their cars by using the GPS feature, or track down the nearest ATM, bathroom or even Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s merchandise transporter.
Track schedules, driver appearance information and the Social Lounge are also inside the app.
And best of all, it’s free!
“We are always looking for new ways to engage our fans and make their visit to MIS more enjoyable,” Amanda Day, communications and marketing manager for MIS, said. “We will continue to look for creative and fun information to incorporate into the app to make sure MIS is the fans’ favorite racetrack.”
Android users can download the APP by visiting Google Play or simply clicking here. Guests can also point their phones at the QR code below and DISCOVER MIS will automatically be downloaded to their devices.
DISCOVER MIS is available for iPhone users in the iTunes app store. The app is also available here or by scanning this QR code.
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.
