DODGE QUOTES: “Charlotte has been one of my favorite places to race at since I’ve been running stock cars.  You can run a lot of different lines there and it’s probably the smoothest of the mile-and-a-half tracks.  We ran really well there last year.  Our pit crew is so much better this year.  I feel like if we can just go in there and have a good run, anything near like what we had in the October race last year, we’re going to compete for a win.  If you can deal with the glare from the Jumbotron on the back straightaway, you’re going to have a good day (smile).”  — Sam Hornish, Jr.

CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY NUMBERS

• Dodge has three wins at CMS: Ryan Newman (2005 fall), Kasey Kahne (2007 spring) and Keselowski (2010 fall).

• Dodge has two poles a CMS: Casey Mears (2004 fall) and Kahne (2005 spring).

• Dodge has 15 top-five and 23 top 10-finishes at CMS since 2001, including five second-place finishes.

DODGE IN THE NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES

• The most Dodge drivers to finish inside the top 10 in a Nationwide race at the 1.5-mile track are four in the 2005 spring race.

• Dodge is fielding two full-time entries in the series this year. Sam Hornish Jr. is competing for the series championship while Brad Keselowski and Parker Kligerman are sharing the driving duties in the second Penske Racing entry.

• Penske Racing’s Brad Keselowski claimed the Nationwide driver’s title in 2010.

• Dodge has 41 wins in the series including seven in each of the last two seasons.  The first Nationwide Series win came in 2002.  In 2005, Dodge had 11 wins in the series.  A Dodge has started from the pole 48 times.

FROM THE CREW CHIEF “We’re able to take more chances when Brad is in the car to try to win races.  When we’ve got Parker (Kiligerman) in the car, we’re trying to put him in a good position to run well.  I guess you’re a little more conservative there because you’re trying to provide him an opportunity to show his talent.” — Jeremy Bullins, Crew Chief, No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger
