Lucas Oil 200
Jason White on Dover: “Dover is a tough track and one that is very demanding on both team and driver. It is important to get a very good set-up under your truck for the Monster Mile. I have been here a few times and struggled with that and it makes for a grueling and long few days. The guys on this GunBroker.com team have given me great trucks each and every week and I am sure that will be the case once again this week. I really like the track at Dover and have had some decent success there lately so if we can just avoid any kind of troubles during the race then I think we are in for another strong showing.”
Jason at Dover: This will mark Jason’s eighth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the 1-mile oval known as the “Monster Mile”. His best finish was fourth in the 2009 event after starting in the 13th position. He led four laps in last year’s event before settling for a 14th place finish. His best qualifying effort at Dover is 13th which he achieved for both the 2009 and 2010 races.
Race Rewind: With new sponsor JW Demolition on board as the Primary Sponsor, Jason White and his GB Racing team once again showed that they are a force to be reckoned with in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series as they charged to a strong sixth place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway. After starting near the front of the field for the 134-lap event, a mishap on pit road forced White and his No. 23 JW Demolition/GunBroker.com Ford to the back early in the race but he charged back to the front with a chance to capture his first career victory before settling for a strong sixth place finish in the running of the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.
The strong showing and sixth place finish was Jason’s third top-10 finish of the young season and moved him up to seventh in the overall drivers’ standings – just 12 points out of the fifth position and 42 markers behind the leader.
“50 Cal” Ready for the Monster Mile: The GunBroker.com team will be bringing the truck they nicknamed “50 Cal” to tackle the Monster. In honor of the team’s sponsor, GunBroker.com, the GB Racing team uses gun and shooting themed names for most of their trucks – thus the name “50 Cal”. “50 Cal” last raced in Rockingham with Jason qualifying 28th and worked its way up through the field into the top-10 before some pit road mishaps relegated the No. 23 GunBroker.com Ford to a 24th place finish. The truck also provided Jason with his career best finish of third in the 2009 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway after starting from the third position.
Meet Jason White: Jason White will join other NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers for an autograph session in the Dover FanZone located outside of Turn 4
at the track from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Come see Jason and the other stars of the series before they take the green flag at approximately 5:00 p.m. for the
running of the Lucas Oil 200.
