THE ONION LOOKING FOR WIN NUMBER SEVEN: The most recent NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner is two-time champion Todd Bodine. The Onion captured his first win at Dover Motor Speedway last weekend, gaining three positions in the Truck Series drivers point standings, moving into the sixth place. What better momentum to have, heading into Texas Motor Speedway where the driver has six wins, one pole (2007), 10 top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. In addition to 329 laps led and an average finish of 8.5 in 15 starts at the 1.5-mile track. The veteran is looking to claim back-to-back victories and add a seventh cowboy hat to his collection.
TEAM ENGINEER – ROB HUNLEY: Texas Motor Speedway is special for Rob Hunley and Todd Bodine. Hunley, the No. 11 team race engineer, has been with The Onion for five out of six victories at the Speedway. The pair has worked together since the end of 2004 season. In addition to his five wins at Texas, Hunley has been with Bodine for his other 15 Truck Series victories, alongside seven pole positions.
CHASSIS HISTORY: Todd Bodine and the No. 11 team will race Chassis No. 141 at Texas Motor Speedway. Bodine has collected two top-five finishes with this Chassis most recently at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a third place finish. At Kansas Speedway on April 28, Bodine was able to capture his highest starting position of ninth for the 2012 season, adding a fifth place finish to the books.
COME OUT AND SEE BODINE: Fans have a chance to meet Team Onion this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Bodine will join a lineup of Truck Series drivers on Friday, June 7th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for an autograph session at the Speedway.
PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: The Truck Series was the only thunder rolling in the area during the start of the Lucas Oil 200 at Dover International Speedway. Two-time Truck Series Champion, Todd Bodine, was eager to tame the Monster Mile and was able to capture the win after rain called the race short on Friday afternoon. This was Bodine’s 22nd victory in 196 Truck Series races and his first in the Truck Series at Dover.
The win marks Bodine’s first victory and fourth top-10 finish in 2012 and his first win in 37 Truck Series races. This is crew chief Rick Gay’s first NASCAR sanctioned win as a crew chief. Bodine jumped three positions in the driver’s point standings, now sitting sixth, only nine points out of fifth.

Todd Bodine talks about Texas Motor Speedway:
With six Truck Series wins at Texas; what is the secret to winning at this track?
“Winning at Texas Motor Speedway is a combination of many things. You have to have a good crew, a good truck and good luck. We won the spring race of 2006 from the back of the field with about 30 laps to go. I passed Mike Skinner on a green-white-checkered finish, led the 1 lap – the most important one. That was one of the special wins there.”
Five of your six wins have all been the spring race. What is it about the spring that you are able to capitalize?
“The spring race is the longer of the two races at the track, which I am better at. I think we are able to wear everyone else out on the long runs. That’s where I excel. The spring race is 167 laps and the fall is 147 laps.”
