Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 22nd HOW WAS YOUR QUALIFYING RUN? “It was OK. Our qualifying attempts having been our strongest area with the Miller Lite Dodge. Actually our run is better than we’ve been qualifying, so we’ll take it. I’d certainly like to be up closer to the pole with how important track position is here at Indianapolis. Our car is fast. We just gave away early track position for the race.”
HOW THE DRIVABILITY OF YOUR DODGE? “Our car will be fast in race trim. We just missed it in qualifying today. A good team builds good race cars and makes good adjustments and that makes any driver look good. This is a tricky place. Pit strategy, fast race car, good adjustments, that all is important on race day at certainly here.”
THIS PLACE IS 50 PERCENT RACE CAR AND 50 PERCENT DRIVER. WHAT’S BETTER RIGHT NOW? “That’s a good one (laughs). We’re probably about equal. I could be a little bit better and we have some room for improvement on the Miller Lite Dodge.”
WHERE HAS THE MILLER LITE DODGE BEEN GOOD HERE AT INDY? “I think we’re fast in race trim. We just struggled in Q-trim and that was obvious today. I have all the confidence in the world in Paul (Wolfe) and all the guys on the Miller Lite Dodge team. They’ll help me get up front and challenge for another win.”
Sam Hornish Jr. (No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 24th HOW WAS YOUR LAP? “The car has been a little bit difficult. We’re not or tight, we’re loose and tight. I’m having a hard time finding some stability in the rear of the car. We’re going to have to be smart with the things that we’re going to do and try to have as best of run that we can tomorrow.”
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR TOMORROW? “I feel with this car I haven’t been comfortable yet. When I go into the corner the backend will slide out and as soon as I give it a little direction it just keeps moving around and it really never gets to the point where (the car) feels like it’s underneath me. Maybe I’m asking too much of it? We’re just not quite there yet.”
