Roush Fenway Looks to Stand Tall in Stand Alone Events

This weekend Roush Fenway will look for its fifth ever Sprint Cup victory at Pocono Raceway in the Sprint Cup Series, while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will look to make it four-in-a-row at Iowa Speedway.

Four in a Row

Stenhouse has won the last three Nationwide races at Iowa Speedway and will look to become only the seventh driver in Nationwide Series history to win four consecutive events at a single track.

Sprint Cup Series at Pocono

Roush Fenway will make its 174th start this weekend at Pocono, where the company has led over 950 laps, while notching four wins, 42 top-five and 67 top-10 finishes. Roush Fenway topped 80,000 miles completed in the Sprint Cup Series at Pocono in June; the second most of any track for Roush Fenway.

Winning Pocono Style

Roush Fenway has four wins at Pocono, including Greg Biffle’s victory there in July of 2010. Carl Edwards earned Roush Fenway’s first win there in the first Pocono race of 2005. Roush Fenway went on to sweep the Pocono events that season.

Going the Distance

Roush Fenway has covered 80,167 miles with 171 racing entries in Cup action at Pocono. It is the second most of any track for Roush Fenway. Only at Charlotte Motor Speedway has Roush Fenway covered more miles. Roush will look to lead its 1,000th lap in Cup actioin at the track this weekend.

The Runner Up

Roush Fenway finished second 11 times at Pocono, before finally notching the win and sweeping both Pocono races in 2005. All-in-all Roush Fenway has 12 runner-up finishes at Pocono and 15 top-two finishes. Five different drivers have finished second for Roush Fenway at Pocono, and three (Carl Edwards – twice, Greg Biffle and Kurt Bush) have won there.

During that span, RFR has accumulated the most wins in NASCAR history with 304, and is the all-time race winner in both the Nationwide and Truck Series.
