Final Road Course Race of 2012….Eric McClure and the No. 14 team head north of the border to Montreal, Canada to participate in the final road course race of the season at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. This weekend marks McClure’s 188th start in NNS competition and his third at the 15-turn course. In his two previous starts (2009 & 2011), he has a best finish of 22nd (2009) and has completed 86.7% of the total laps run. Trouble found the team last season on two separate occasions and relegated them to a 36th-place finish.

Chassis Selection… Following an accident-free race at Watkins Glen International, the Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Racing™ team will again utilize chassis No. 5 for this weekend’s NAPA Auto Parts 200. In the two previous road course races this season at Road America and Watkins Glen International, the team has scored a 21st and 26th-place finish respectively.

Eric McClure Quotes:

“I really enjoy racing at Montreal; it’s probably my favorite road course of the three. I love the city and the fan support there for NASCAR is unbelievable. We were able to come out of last weekend’s race with the car in one piece so now we will be able to go have some fun this weekend.”
