JAMIE MCMURRAY AND THE NO. 1 LIFTMASTER® TEAM

McMurray on Twitter: Catch the latest from the driver of the No. 1 LiftMaster® Chevrolet by following McMurray’s personal Twitter account, @JamieMcMurray.

Chicago Recap: After posting a strong qualifying effort in the McDonald’s Chevy on Saturday afternoon, McMurray would quickly move into the top-ten once the green flag fell for the GEICO 400. McMurray, however, would report that the car was chattering all four tires after only a few laps. The No. 1 team went to work on strategy and making several changes trying to find the balance on the McDonald’s Chevrolet. Crew chief Bono Manion stretched the final fuel run and called for just two tires on the final pit stop looking to catch a late caution that would never come and McMurray would bring the McDonald’s Chevrolet home in the 21st-position.

Previously at Loudon: Race day track conditions were drastically changed from practice and qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday after rain moved through the area. Teams would face the challenge of uncertain handling once the green flag waved. The No. 1 team made several aggressive chassis changes on the No. 1 Chevrolet in the early stages of the 300 lap event. Once the team had the car handling more to the driver’s liking, McMurray began to run some of the fastest lap times in the field, however they were unable to catch a break with a timely caution to improve their track position and would ultimately cross the finish line in the 23rd-position.

McMurray at Loudon: McMurray has made 19 NSCS starts at Loudon, earning two top-five, four top-10 finishes and six top-15 finishes. He has completed 5,277 laps out of a possible 5,668 or 93.1 percent, and has led 32 laps. McMurray’s average start is 21.2 and his average finish is 22.6. His best finish was third in July 2010.

McMurray and Speedways: McMurray has completed 171 races on speedways (1-2 mile courses). In those 171 races, McMurray has earned two wins, 20 top-fives, 40 top-tens, and has led 840 laps.

Look for LiftMaster®: In today’s fast-paced world, the garage door opener plays an indispensable role in your daily comings and goings. That is why it’s hard to imagine that not more than 25 years ago, the garage door opener was considered a luxury. A lot has changed since then, and LiftMaster® has played a vital role in building universal demand for this indispensable home appliance. And more importantly, that is why LiftMaster® is the world’s largest manufacturer of garage door openers.

Stop by for Dinner: McMurray will make a dinner time appearance this Thursday September 20 at 5pm at the McDonald’s located at 1881 Dover Road Epsom, NH 03234. McMurray will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs.

JUAN PABLO MONTOYA AND THE NO. 42 ENERGIZER TEAM

Montoya on Twitter: Catch the latest from the driver of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet by following Montoya’s personal Twitter account, @jpmontoya.

Chicago Recap: Montoya and the No. 42 Target team made their first appearance of the season at Chicagoland Speedway. With 10 races remaining on the schedule, the guys looked to turn their luck around and bring home a solid finish. Montoya started in 28th and realized that the handling was off almost immediately. The Target Chevrolet ran midfield for the first half of the race and eventually got the handling turned around. Long green flag runs with only four caution flags displayed hindered the team’s ability to make a charge to the front at the end. The Target team would have to settle for a 23rd-place finish.

Look for the Bunny: This weekend the No. 42 car will sport the Energizer paint scheme. Energizer continues to fulfill its role as a technology innovator by redefining portable power solutions to meet people’s active lifestyle needs for today and tomorrow with chargers for rechargeable portable devices; charging systems for wireless video game controllers; and specialty batteries for hearing aids, health and fitness devices, as well as for keyless remote entry systems, toys and watches. Energizer is redefining where energy, technology and freedom meet to bring to market consumer-focused products that power the essential devices that help people stay connected and on the go at work and at play. Go to www.Energizer.com for more information.

Previously at Loudon: Lining-up in the 31st position on the starting grid, the No. 42 team focused on getting Montoya up to the front when the green flag waved. Unfortunately, it became apparent almost immediately that the handling was going to hinder a charge to the front. Adding to that, long green flag runs were predominate during the first half of the race so adjustments to the car were limited. Montoya and the team battled it out despite the handling woes and crossed the finish line in the 25th position.

Montoya at Loudon: In his NSCS career, Montoya has made 11 starts at Loudon. He has one top-five and two top-tens with his highest finish of third in July 2009. He has completed 3,233 laps out of a possible 3,260 laps, or 99.2 percent, and has led 149 laps. Montoya’s average start at Loudon is 16.3, while his average finish is 20.0.

Montoya on Speedways: Montoya has completed 98 races on speedways (1-2 mile courses). In those 98 starts, Montoya has earned nine top-fives, 17 top-tens and has led 336 laps.
