The Desert Jewel Next for SS Green Light Racing

MOORESVILLE, NC – November 8, 2012 – With just two races remaining in the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series campaign the SS Green Light Racing team is ready with two up and coming young drivers for Friday evening’s Lucas Oil 150 at the Phoenix International Raceway.

Second-generation driver Todd Peck of Glenville, Pennsylvania will pilot the Stopain/Arthritis Foundation No. 08 Chevy joining Florida’s Ross Chastain who will take the wheel of the Wear Your Gear/bobber.info No. 07 Toyota this weekend.

Heading into the 150-lap race on one of NASCAR’s most unique layouts: the five-turn track was re-paved last year and this will be the truckers fist visit on the new pavement and the twenty-second time the series has made the trip to the Arizona desert. The SS Green Light Racing team has both entries locked-into the top-25 in the owners point standings.

“Going here with a guaranteed starting spot will allow me to gain the experience I need and give our partners the value they are looking for,” Peck said. “I am thankful for this opportunity this weekend.”

“I have known Todd’s family for a long time,” Dotter said. “They have deep roots in NASCAR racing and Todd is getting used to the ropes of the Truck Series. This weekend will continue to help him grow and gain experience. We’ll make sure that we prepare a fast truck for all his partners and fans. I’m looking forward to Friday night.”

The Lucas Oil 150 is the 291st consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the twenty-sixth career start for Chastain in the Truck Series. Ross is seventeenth in the NCWTS point standings and has three top-ten finishes in sixteen starts 2012 including a career best third at Bristol on August 22nd. It will be the fifth career start for Peck in the NCWTS and his first start for the SS Green Light team.

There are 38 trucks on the entry list for the Lucas Oil 150, which will prelude the NASCAR Sprint Cup Advocare 500 and Nationwide Great Clips 200 at the Phoenix International Raceway.

Practice for the Lucas Oil 150 will be Thursday November 8th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Friday November 9th there will be two laps of qualifying at 2:35 p.m. The green flag will fly in the Lucas Oil 150 at 6:00 p.m. All times Mountain Standard time. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV and will also be broadcast live via on the Motor Racing Network and on SIRIUS Satellite Radio NASCAR Channel 128-XM104.
