Danny Efland announces his return to J D Motorsports w/Gary Keller as the driver of the Nationwide Series #4 Chevrolet for the 2013 season in 27 races. Danny drove 17 races for the Johnny Davis owned team as Mike Wallace’s teammate during 2012. Finishing 21st in the driver standings, Danny had 5 top 20s and completed all of the laps at both supper speedways.
Danny said that he looks forward to an expanded season with JDM and further said that Johnny Davis has been very busy during the off season and has significantly improved the cars and over all program.
“I consider it a real honor to be back with the team and hope that I can live up to their expectations” said Danny, ” we will be at Daytona with a new Camaro that JDM has worked very hard on. Because the car is locked into the race we will be able to concentrate on making it race well and not spend all of our effort trying to qualify.”
Danny finished a career high 13th during last years February speed week Nationwide Series event and on the lead lap. He has 57 Nationwide races to his credit beginning in 2007 soon after turning 18. He is a 5 time National Go Kart champion with many Late Model wins and track championships. He also holds an engineering degree from the University of South Carolina.
Sponsorship is not yet locked in but Danny and the JDM team are busy working to put that together.
