Eric McClure’s Royal Purple 300 Advance

Royal Purple 300 QUOTES & NOTES: California Speedway

Eric McClure Quotes

You survived one of your most difficult tracks last weekend, and now you head to another; what are your expectations for this weekend?

“We came out of Bristol with the car in one piece and had a respectable finish.  We survived and that’s what we needed to do.  Now we move on to California and it’s not one of my favorite tracks, but I’m confident we will have a good car this weekend.  We need to keep the positive momentum going and have another good points day.”

Hefty®/Reynolds® Racing NOTES

Up six spots in points:  After a 21st-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway, Eric McClure advanced six positions in NASCAR Owner Standings; he sits 22nd heading into this weekend’s event at California Speedway.

California Fast Facts: The Royal Purple 300 marks the Virginia native’s 204th Nationwide Series start and his 11th NNS event at the two-mile speedway.  In ten starts, the track hasn’t been kind to the 34-year-old driver.  He has completed 81.8% of the total laps attempted and has an average finish of 31.6.  Last season, McClure faced a myriad of issues and came home with a 26th-place finish.

Chassis No. 12: McClure will be piloting chassis No. 12 during this weekend’s Royal Purple 300.  This car was previously used by McClure during the event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  It was here that the Virginia driver was only able to complete two laps of competition because of an engine failure.

Doubletree by Hilton Claremont Renews Sponsorship with TriStar:  For the third consecutive year, Doubletree by Hilton Claremont will serve as a primary and associate sponsor on the TriStar Motorsports entries for this weekend’s Royal Purple 300 at California Speedway.  The hotel logo will be placed on the hood and lower quarter panels of the No. 19 Toyota driven by Mike Bliss and will also be on the lower quarter panels of the No. 14 Camry, the No. 10 Camry, and the No. 44 Camry.  This season will also mark the hotel’s sixth consecutive year as an associate sponsor of McClure’s.

Bristol Recap:  McClure started the 300-lap event from the 24th position and went on to finish 21st despite a broken sway bar arm with 100 laps remaining in the event.

Tune-In:  Saturday’s Royal Purple 300 will be televised live on ESPN at 5:00pm (ET).  MRN (Motor Racing Network) and SiriusXM Radio Channel 90 will also broadcast the event live.

About Reynolds Consumer Products

Two of the most trusted household brands, Reynolds® and Hefty®, joined together as Reynolds Consumer Products in 2010.  While the establishment of this new company made it official, the truth is that Reynolds® and Hefty® products have been found side-by-side in the kitchens of American families for more than three generations.

The creation of both the Reynolds® and Hefty® brands is the direct result of American ingenuity mixed with a bit of elbow grease.  Reynolds Wrap® Foil was invented after the use of aluminum for military purposes diminished after World War II and became a new staple for American kitchens.  Hefty® Waste Bags were first developed with excess material from an early plastics innovator, creating another household essential.

Today, Reynolds Consumer Products, headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois offers a diverse product portfolio of essentials for every home.  From prepping, cooking and serving, to storage and disposal, Reynolds Consumer Products provides solutions for controlling the chaos of busy households everywhere.
