James Buescher

No. 31 Rheem Chevrolet News and Notes

Martinsville Recap…After working their way up from a 20th-place starting position to race much of the Kroger 250 inside the top five, James Buescher and the No. 31 Rheem Chevy slipped back in the pack during a late race green-flag run. Buescher patiently picked his way through the field throughout the 250-lap race and looked like a threat for the victory on Saturday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway. During a late race green-flag stretch, Buescher, who was on older tires than most of the field, got caught up on the outside groove and slipped back and finished in 14th place at Martinsville Speedway.

Like a Rock…During NASCAR’s historic return to Rockingham Speedway last spring, Buescher and the No. 31 Turner Scott Motorsports team battled teammate, Kasey Kahne.teammate down to the end and came home with a solid second-place finish. This coming weekend, Buescher and the No. 31 Rheem team are returning to “the Rock” looking to capture their fifth win with the chassis they call “Honey Badger.”

Gotta Have a Rheem…The No. 31 of James Buescher will once again dawn the Rheem colors this weekend at Rockingham Speedway. Rheem Manufacturing Company (www.rheem.com) is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta. In its 87th year of operation, the company manufactures a fullline of high-quality residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar, and heat pump water heaters; swimming pool heaters and commercial boilers throughout North America and world markets. The company’s premium brands, including Raypak, Ruud and Rheem, have been recognized with countless industry and consumer awards for reliability, innovative design and high quality. Rheem, now in its seventh consecutive year as a NASCAR sponsor, is the official heating, cooling and water heating supplier to Turner Scott Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing.  Rheem also sponsors RCR’s No. 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 NASCAR Nationwide Series car driven by Paul Menard.

Honey Badger…James Buescher and the No. 31 Rheem Chevy Silverado team will bring back the chassis known as “Honey Badger,” TSM-214, this weekend at Rockingham Speedway. During the 2012 NCWTS season, “Honey Badger” recorded an impressive four wins and 7 top-fives.

James Buescher on returning to Rockingham Speedway

“Rockingham is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit. We had a great race last year, and I am confident we can back it up this weekend. I hope I can give my Rheem/Turner Scott Motorsports team the finish that they deserve. They work hard week in and week out, and so far we’re just lacking the results to show for it.”
