KANSAS SPEEDWAY, KANSAS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD CONTINUE PARTNERSHIP

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (April 16, 2013) – Officials with Kansas Speedway and the Kansas Army National Guard announced today the continuation of their partnership, which will include a swear in ceremony for newly enlisted soldiers to the Kansas Army National Guard.

“I’m honored to be able to continue the great partnership we have with the Kansas Army National Guard,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “These men and women, along with their families, have made a huge commitment to protect and defend our country and I’m glad that we can recognize them during our event weekends.”

“Our partnership with Kansas Speedway connects many of our troops to a sport they really enjoy while also providing us a venue to show the public what the Kansas National Guard is all about through equipment displays and demonstrations,” said Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli, Kansas adjutant general.  “We appreciate the generosity and support from Kansas Speedway and the enthusiasm and support the race fans show to our Guardsmen in attendance.”

The Kansas Army National Guard will also continue to partner with Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Army National Guard Pre-Race at all of Kansas Speedway’s events in 2013.

Kansas Speedway season tickets, which are currently on sale, include both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races (April 21 and Oct. 6), the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (April 20), and the NASCAR Nationwide Series race (Oct. 5), along with a TrackPass, which allows you up close access to the Kansas National Guard pre-race activities, like NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver introductions, the pre-race concert, and much more! Kansas Speedway’s 2013 season includes two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races,  the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards (Oct. 4) and new in 2013, GRAND-AM Road Racing (Aug. 16-17).
