Papa John’s Pizza Joins the Richmond International Raceway Family as Official Pizza of RIR

Fans Can Taste “Better Ingredients, Better Pizza” at America’s Premier Short Track

Richmond, VA (April 19, 2013)—Richmond International Raceway announced today that Papa John’s Pizza has signed on as the Official Pizza of Richmond International Raceway. After years of serving “Better Ingredients, Better Pizza” at America’s Premier Short Track, Papa John’s is expanding its partnership with RIR to ensure fans will continue to enjoy tasty pizza on the Midway and inside the grandstand gates.

“It’s true that ‘Better Ingredients, Better Pizza’ is the national slogan of Papa John’s Pizza, but in Richmond we are a locally owned franchise group and we like to twist that slogan a bit,” said Papa John’s-Richmond Marketing Manager Stephanie Smith.  “We are about Better People too, and that means community involvement.”

The Richmond Papa John’s Pizza group continuously strives to make an impact throughout the Richmond area.  Through involvement with community groups, athletic associations, and private businesses, Papa John’s has become a recognized name of support in Richmond.

Established in 1992 with its first location on the Southside, Papa John’s Pizza-Richmond has grown to 18 locations throughout the Metro Richmond area.  The local owning franchise group, PJ Cheese, Inc. ensures that the Papa John’s Pizza name is always associated with community support. Providing local non-profit groups with donations and fundraising programs, providing schools and sports programs with pizzas and funding, and providing other businesses with a quality product to serve to their employees and customers. These involvements continue to bond Papa John’s Pizza with the Richmond Community.
