ADVANCE NOTES

·         Pastrana at Charlotte
o   Travis Pastrana visits Charlotte Motor Speedway for the third time in his NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) career.  In 2011 he finished 24th and earlier this season he finished 33rd.

·         The Car
o   The No. 60 team brings Chassis RK-749 to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend.  Chassis RK-749 will make its fifth start of the season.  In the previous four races this chassis finished, 13th in Fontana, 15th in Dover, 18th in Chicago, and 13th in Bristol.

·         Better Half Dash
o   Pastrana’s wife, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins Pastrana looks to defend her 2012 Better Half Dash victory.  Last year, the three-time X Games gold medalist started second and won in her first start.  This year her car will feature a paint scheme similar to the No. 60 Ford Mustang, with KMC Wheels on the hood.

·         Recapping Kansas
o   Pastrana and the No. 60 team overcame an early spin at Kansas Speedway to finish 14th in the NNS Kansas Lottery 300.  The 14th-place finish netted Pastrana his 10th top-15 finish of the 2013 season.
o   He remains 14th in the NNS point standings.

QUOTE WORTHY

Pastrana on racing at Charlotte:

“Charlotte is by far my worst mile-and-a-half.  It’s such an important race for everyone because it’s where all the shops and drivers seem to live.  I feel that everyone shows up with their A-Game!  I’m still looking for mine, but I’m hoping to find it by then!”
