Martinsville Speedway II – Kroger 200

October 26, 2013

Get Your Hotdogs Here…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads from the biggest track on the schedule to the smallest for round two at Martinsville Speedway. Miguel Paludo has five previous starts at the 0.526-mile paperclip-shaped track and has completed 100-percent of the 1,150 laps in those five events. Earlier this season, Paludo ran in the top 10 for nearly the entire event and occupied the top five for much of the second half of the race, but a wild final restart marred the Brazilian’s stellar run, resulting in a 17th-place finish.

Hometown Hero…In addition to being the home of the famous Martinsville Speedway hot dogs, Ridgeway, Virginia is home to Paludo’s crew chief Jeff Hensley. Born and raised near the track, Hensley still lives there today. Hensley has a combined total of 30 starts as a crew chief at the track in both the NCWTS and the NASCAR Nationwide Series and has tallied three wins, two poles, seven top fives and 12 top 10s.

Green Again…The No. 32 Chevrolet is once again going green, sporting the colors of AccuDoc Solutions this week at Martinsville Speedway. AccuDoc Solutions is based in Morrisville, N.C. and provides billing-statement printing and processing to hospitals and hospital-based physicians. In addition to paper-based billing statements, ADS enables patients to choose electronic statement delivery and make payments through secure online payment portals. It’s A Sign…Paludo will join his Turner Scott Motorsports teammates at the NCWTS driver autograph session on Friday, October 25 from 3:00-3:45 p.m. EDT. The autograph session will be held at the main ticket office outside of Turn 4.

Don’t Forget To Vote…The polls have opened for the 2013 NCWTS Most Popular Driver fan vote. Fans can vote once a day from each device: laptop, desktop, tablet, smart phone, etc. Be sure to place your vote for Paludo every day from now until November 15 at www.nascar.com/ncwtsmpd.

This Week’s Silverado…Paludo and the No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions team will unload chassis TSM-231 this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. TSM-231 is a brand-new chassis, which will make its first laps this weekend.

Watch And Listen…The Kroger 200 can be seen live on Saturday, October 26 with pre-race coverage beginning at 1:00 p.m. EDT on FOX Sports 1. The race can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap…Paludo appeared to be on his way to a solid finish in the season’s last major wild card race at Talladega Superspeedway when ‘the big one’ hit just seconds before the checkered flag waved. Pushing teammate Jeb Burton to the front of the pack in the final stretch of the last lap, a chain reaction ignited a massive 12-truck wreck which resulted in Paludo’s truck landing on its roof and enduring multiple impacts. After a few scary moments, Paludo exited the No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Chevrolet unharmed and was ultimately scored 19th in the Fred’s 250.

Miguel Paludo on driving at Martinsville Speedway

“I’m very happy to be going back to Martinsville Speedway. We ran really well there in the spring, probably the best I’ve ever run at that track. We didn’t get the finish we deserved, so I’m hoping we can finish what we started in April. This is our final stretch of races and every finish is really important. We can still move up quite a bit in the points between now and Homestead, so we’re going to do everything we can to finish strong.”
