Whitt Gets an Eco-Friendly Boost for the Nationwide Season Finale

Mooresville, N.C. (November 12, 2013) – Cole Whitt will have Eco-friendly Takagi Tankless Water Heaters on board for this weekend’s NASCAR Nationwide Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This weekend’s race will cap off Whitt’s 15th race with TriStar Motorsports and fifth with primary sponsor Takagi Tankless Water Heaters during the 2013 season.

Mile-and-a-half tracks have been favorable for Whitt as he holds a 15.2 career average finish at the eight 1.5-mile tracks on the NASCAR circuit. and an average Nationwide Series finish of 13.5 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This weekend’s Toyota Camry:

Chassis No. 702 will be back for the 1.5-mile variable banked oval. It last lead Whitt to a 20th place finish at Texas Motor Speedway two weeks ago.

“Homestead is not like any other mile-and-a-half we go to, but that’s why I like it. The tires seem to wear out quickly and the top groove can be fast, making it really fun to race there.”

 

Cole Whitt 2013 Highlights:

  • Has posted three top-10, five top-15 and 13 top-20 finishes across 14 starts.
  • Currently ranked 22nd in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Driver Points Standings after competing in only 14 events.
  • Qualified a season best ninth at Kentucky Speedway (9/13).
