Team BCR and Grant Enfinger: Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway Pre-Race Report

(Mooresville, NC – February 10, 2014) With new marketing partners on board, Grant Enfinger and Team BCR Racing will make their second Daytona start for the annual Lucas Oil 200 in the No. 90 Motor Honey/Advance Auto Parts Ford Fusion.

Marketing Partners: Announced earlier this month, Advance Auto Parts will join Casite’s Motor Honey brand as a national retail promotion for the race on February 15, 2014. Stanley Industries, a full time distributor serving the fastener industry for over 45 years, has also signed with the team as an Associate Marketing Partner.

History at Daytona: Enfinger will make his 4th Daytona start in the ARCA Racing Series and his 2nd Daytona start with Team BCR. Team BCR and Enfinger qualified 6th for the Daytona ARCA race last season.

2013 Recap: Team BCR and Grant Enfinger made 8 starts together in the 2013 ARCA Racing Series season. The duo captured two wins together at Mobile Int’l Speedway and at Iowa Speedway, and then earned a total of 4, top-5 finishes.

Meet Grant Enfinger: For those attending the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway will have the chance to meet the ARCA Racing Series drivers on Saturday, February 15 from 12:30-2pm in the garage area.

Team Manager: “We’re extremely grateful to have Casite, the Motor Honey brand, Advance Auto Parts and Stanley Industries back on the No. 90 for the 2014 season,” says Howard Bixman. “The entire staff at Team BCR has made a lot of sacrifices in order to get Grant and Justin’s car ready to compete for a win at Daytona. With the success we had last season, we plan to use that confidence going into this race.”

Q & A’s with Grant Enfinger

You and your teammate, Justin Allison, tested at Daytona in December. How did testing go and how will those results guide you going into the race?

“Testing in December isn’t really anything like the actual race. There are only a few cars out on the track at a time during the test. I personally was not able to do any drafting while I was at the Daytona test but my teammate Justin got the chance to draft and ended up 3rd overall on the weekend’s speed charts. We both thought we learned a lot and were able to change what we could, so we can come back to compete for a win.”

You qualified 6th last season for the Daytona race and also had an outstanding 2013 season, capturing your first two wins. How will this help you for the 2014 Lucas Oil 200?

“After knocking on the door for quite some time, Team BCR and I were very excited about our first two wins. It gave us the confidence we needed and I think that momentum will carry over to 2014.”

“Team BCR and Howard Bixman have given me great cars and we wouldn’t have been able to grab those wins without Casite or Motor Honey on board with us. Casite gave us a great opportunity to expand our partnership, by welcoming one of their national retailers, Advance Auto Parts this season. I’m also proud to have Stanley Industries continue their partnership with the team and I as we make our way into the 2014 season.”

“We’ve been putting months of preparation into my car. I’m excited to just get to the track and see what everyone else has, and ultimately see our hard work paid off.”
