(Mooresville, NC – February 10, 2014) On the journey to carry his family’s legacy, Justin Allison will make his Daytona debut with Team BCR Racing in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion.
Family Legacy: Justin Allison is the grandson of Donnie Allison, who won the Firecracker 400 at Daytona International Speedway and a 125-mile qualifying race for the Daytona 500 in his career. His uncle Bobby Allison, a former Winston Cup Champion, has won six races at Daytona International Speedway.
Rookie Status: Where short track racing is the norm for the rookie driver, Daytona International Speedway will be the largest track Allison has ever driven on. Justin made his ARCA Racing Series debut with Team BCR at Kansas Speedway’s mile and a half track in 2013. Justin along with the rest of the staff at Team BCR believed he had the potential to take home a top-5 finish at Kansas, but finished up in 11th after a rain-shortened race.
Justin attended the ARCA Daytona test in December, finishing up 3rd overall on the weekend’s speed charts.
History on the Driver: Justin won the 2010 Legacy Racing Series Championship, finishing in the top-5 in 20 out of 21 races. He then ran selected races in the PASS Super Late Model Series and the Allison Legacy Series until 2013 when he made his ARCA debut with Team BCR Racing and Development Team.

Q & A with Justin Allison
What were your thoughts going out on the track the very first time at Daytona?
“I was terrified leaving the pits and I did not know what to expect. Of course, I’ve been given plenty of advice from my grandfather [Donnie Allison] along with my teammate Grant Enfinger but you don’t fully know what to expect until you’re out there doing it yourself. Once I got going, though, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I anticipated it to be. My Crew Chief Howard Bixman gave me a great car as the speed charts showed.”
What sort of advice has your grandfather given you and what will you take from that going into the race?
“My grandfather gave me advice in drafting and in single car runs. At this point in my career, all the advice I can get is very helpful. I have a great teammate, Grant Enfinger and a veteran Crew Chief, Howard Bixman to rely on as well.”
