·        A total of 22 Team Chevy drivers will start the Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Daytona International Speedway, the opening round of the 2014 season.

CHEVROLET DRIVERS STARTING IN THE TOP-10

·        Austin Dillon, No. 3 DOW Chevrolet SS, will lead the field down to the green flag as the pole sitter

·        Martin Truex, Jr., No. 78 Furniture Row Chevrolet SS, qualified second, but will drop to the rear of the field for the start of the Daytona 500, due to going to a back-up car as a result of a crash in the Budweiser Duel

·        Kasey Kahne, No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet SS, will start fifth

·        Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet SS, will roll off sixth

·        Kurt Busch, No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS, will take the green flag from the eighth starting spot

·        Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet SS, will start ninth

·        Paul Menard, No. 27 Peak/Menards Chevrolet SS, will roll off 10th

CHEVROLET ON THE TRACK—DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY:

·        Chevrolet drivers have won 22 of 55 Daytona 500 races.  Wins by active drivers are:

o   Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet SS, has three (3) Daytona 500 victories (’97, ’99 & ’05)

o   Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS, has two (2) Daytona 500 wins (’06 & ‘13)

o   Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet SS, has one (1) Harley J. Earl trophy from winning the Daytona 500 (’04)

o   Kevin Harvick, No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet SS, has one (1) Daytona 500 victory (’07)

o   Jamie McMurray, No. 1 McDonald’s Chevrolet SS, has gone to Victory Lane at the Daytona 500 one (1) time (’10)

o   Ryan Newman, No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS has one (1) Daytona 500 victory (’08)

·        A Chevrolet driver has won six (6) of the last 10 Daytona 500 races

·        A Chevrolet driver has sat on the Daytona 500 pole 21 times

·        Team Chevy drivers have won 43 of the 133 previous NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) (points paying) races at Daytona International Speedway (DIS)

·        Team Chevy drivers have scored 186 top-five and 368 top-10 finishes in 133 (points paying) races at DIS

·        A Chevrolet has led 7,066 laps (35.1% of possible 20,126) at DIS

TEAM CHEVY IN NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES (NSCS) COMPETITION:

·        Chevrolet has won 37 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Manufacturers’ Championships.

·        Team Chevy drivers have scored 718 wins and 648 poles in NSCS competition

·        Austin Dillon captured the 648th pole for the Gold Bowtie and became only the fifth Rookie of the Year contender in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition to win a pole
