RACING LEGENDS FOYT, STEWART TO APPEAR TOGETHER AT BUDWEISER ROLL-BAR CLUB AT PIR

Pair will appear at 11 a.m. MST on Saturday, March 1

PHOENIX  – Two of the greatest drivers in American motorsports history – A.J. Foyt and Tony Stewart – will appear together at the Budweiser ROLL-BAR Club at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday, March 1 prior to the Blue Jeans Go GreenTM 200, Presented by Cotton, The Fabric of Our Lives® NASCAR Nationwide Series race. They will take the stage at 11:00 a.m. MST for a moderated question-and-answer session.

Foyt is widely regarded as the greatest race car driver in American motorsports history and one of the greatest drivers of all time. He won the first professional race ever held at PIR, leading every lap on the way to Victory Lane on March 22, 1964. Foyt is the only man in history to win the Indianapolis 500, the Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He was the first man to win the Indy 500 four times, and his seven Indy Car series championships remain a record.

Foyt was named Co-Driver of the Century by the Associated Press and is a member of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America and the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame.

Stewart, who made his return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in this afternoon’s Daytona 500 after missing the final 15 races of the 2013 season with a broken leg, is the only driver in history to win series championships in IndyCar and NASCAR. After winning the 1997 Indy Racing League championship, Stewart began racing full-time in the then-NASCAR Winston Cup Series in 1999 and won the first of his three series championship in 2002.

Stewart won his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at PIR in the Checker Auto Parts/Dura Lube 500 and was a three-time winner in the Copper World Classic. According to many long-time racing observers, Stewart earned his nickname “Smoke” at Phoenix International Raceway when racing in the Copper World Classic, as he would drive his car so hard through the corners on the one-mile oval that the tires would begin to smoke.

Single-day tickets to the ROLL-BAR Club are available for $99 on Saturday, March 1 and for $149 on Sunday, March 2. Additional purchase of grandstand ticket is required for track admission.

Tickets to all events throughout The Profit on CNBC 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend at Phoenix International Raceway are available on PhoenixRaceway.com or by calling 1-866-408-RACE (7223).
