KANSAS SPEEDWAY TAKING PART IN SEVERAL SPECIAL EVENTS THIS YEAR

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (March 25, 2014) – Kansas Speedway staff will be busy this year taking part in several events throughout the State of Kansas and in the Kansas City-area.

After spending this past weekend at the Big 12 Tournament, Kansas Speedway’s next event is Middle of the Map Fest, April 3-5 at Ernie Biggs in Westport (Kansas City, Mo). Kansas Speedway is sponsoring a stage at the festival with acts such as Gary Numan, Hearts of Darkness, Del the Funky Homosapien and Me Like Bees are all scheduled to perform along with many other bands throughout the festival.

In June, Kansas Speedway staff will be at the Country Stampede in Manhattan, Kan. from June 26-29. Fans can try their hand on a racing simulator, get their photo taken by the Kansas Speedway showcar and register for prizes.

Kansas Speedway is also a season long sponsor of the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City T-Bones baseball teams with NASCAR Night planned for Aug. 15 at the T-Bones game.

Tickets for Kansas Speedway’s 2014 events, including Kansas Speedway’s first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series night race, are currently on sale. To purchase season tickets or single event tickets, call 866-460-RACE (7223) or visit www.kansasspeedway.com.  Season ticket holders receive a TrackPass for each NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race day that allows access to the infield for the Kansas Army National Guard Pre-Race activities, including the pre-race concert and driver introductions.

Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway and fans can bring in one 14x14x14-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverages.
