Location: Barrie Speedway June 14, 2014
What won the race: #10 Jesse Kennedy led the field to green and held onto the point until lap eleven of the fifty lap event. Current point leader Andrew Gresel would pace the field until a lap thirty three caution allowed the second running #17 Kevin Cornelius to close the gap. From that point on the #81 and #17 put on a great race, racing side by side for the final seventeen laps. The #17 of Cornelius was able to complete the pass on lap forty five and went on to record his first OSCAAR feature win and a hat trick on the night.
Bad Luck of the event: Rookie contender #24 Scott Field suffered motor issues during practice ending his night early. #22 Glenn Watson had the repairs done after the Kawartha event but was sidelined early in the feature with mechanical issues. Making his 2014 season debut, home track hero #42 Tyler Hawn fought handling issues all night. Brent McLean also debuted his #47m but fought motor issues most of the night.
Rookie Battle: Four Rookie of the Year candidates were in attendance. At the end of the feature event it was the #b10 of Kelly Balson finishing third for top rookie of the race honors and career best OSCAAR finish. #44 Dave Doucette came home fourth also a career best and second best Rookie of the night. Corey Jones placed third in the rookie battle. Scott Field was in attendance but did not race.
