Red Horse Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway… In 16 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile,” Red Horse Racing has visited Victory Lane once with Timothy Peters (2012), and earned six top-five and nine top-10 finishes.

2014: The Year of the (Red) Horse… With12 of 22 races in the books for the 2014 season, Red Horse Racing holds the sixth and seventh positions in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings with drivers Germán Quiroga and Timothy Peters, respectively. The RHR teams have collectively claimed six top-five and 16 top-10 finishes this season.

About Red Horse Racing… Following the 2005 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Clean Line Motorsports became Red Horse Racing under new ownership. Seven races later, Red Horse Racing earned both its first pole award and win at Memphis Motorsports Park with Brandon Whitt behind the wheel of the No. 38 Toyota Tundra. Now in its 10th year of NCWTS competition, Red Horse Racing has logged a total of 408 starts, earning 12 wins, 79 top-five finishes, 172 top-10 finishes and 11 pole awards, with an average starting position of 13.4 and an average finishing position of 14.3.

From the “Old Dominion”… Red Horse Racing boasts a number of employees originally from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The truck chief on the No. 17 Red Horse Racing team, Travis McFarland, hails from Winchester, Virginia, while gas man Dan Mrak is originally from Woodbridge and the driver of the red and white Toyota Tundra, Timothy Peters, is a Danville, Virginia resident. Mark Schmuck, the gas man and mechanic on the No. 77 NET10 Wireless team is from Virginia Beach, and RHR engineer Jonathan Branzelle’s hometown is Sutherland.

Catch the Action… FOX Sports 1’s live coverage of the UNOH 200 presented by ZLOOP is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Set Up airing at 8 p.m. The race will also be broadcast on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Qualifying for the 13th event on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air live on FS1 on Aug. 20 at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Toyota TundraThis Week’s NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra at Bristol Motor Speedway… Germán Quiroga will be competing in chassis No. 008 in the UNOH 200 presented by ZLOOP at Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday, Aug. 20. This is the same Toyota Tundra that he drove to a top-10 finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, and earned two top-five finishes with in 2013, at Texas Motor Speedway (June) and Pocono Raceway (August), finishing third in both races.

Quiroga at Bristol Motor Speedway… Quiroga has one previous start at Bristol Motor Speedway (August 2013) where he qualified fifth. In seven NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at short tracks (less than one mile in length) he has an average starting position of 7.6, an average finishing position of 12.7, and has earned one top-five, four top-10 finishes and one pole award (Iowa Speedway, 2013).

Race Rewind: Michigan International Speedway…  Quiroga earned a top-10 result in the No. 77 NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra at Michigan International Speedway. The Mexico City native was fast during both practice sessions, where he finished sixth and 12th respectively, and earned a 10th-place starting spot in the knock-out qualifying session. He crossed the finish line in the sixth position after running in the top 10 for most of the 100-lap race.

GERMÁN QUIROGA QUOTES:

On heading to Bristol Motor Speedway for the second time… “Last year was my first time racing at Bristol (Motor Speedway). We were really fast during practice and qualified really well; we just had a little bit of bad luck. I think this season we’ll be able to finish with better results. We’re definitely looking forward to racing there.”

On short track racing… “I really enjoy short track racing. I always seem to do well at the smaller tracks because they seem to fit my driving style. Bristol (Motor Speedway) is such a historic track, and I’m looking forward to racing there under the lights.”

This Week’s Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra at Bristol Motor Speedway… Timothy Peters will be piloting chassis No. 020 in the UNOH 200 presented by ZLOOP at Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday, Aug. 20. This is the same Toyota Tundra that Red Horse Racing teammate Germán Quiroga drove at Texas Motor Speedway in June, and was a brand new addition to the Red Horse Racing stable in 2014.

Peters’ History at Bristol Motor Speedway… In nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway, Peters has earned one win (August 2012), three top-five, and five top-10 finishes. Last season he finished second at the half-mile race track after leading 125 laps. His average starting position since joining Red Horse Racing in 2009 is 9.4, with an average finishing position of 5.2.

Race Rewind: Michigan International Speedway… The No. 17 Fast Eddie’s/Valvoline Toyota Tundra team brought home a top-10 finish at Michigan International Speedway. Peters was quick during both practice sessions and captured a third-place starting position in knock-out qualifying. The team remained steadily in the top-10 throughout the race, finishing seventh when the checkered flag dropped.

Take an Off-Road Test Ride With Timothy Peters… Peters will participate in a Q&A session and take fans on a test drive in Toyota trucks and SUV’s at the Toyota Drive Center on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. ET. The Drive Center is located in the Earhart Campground at Bristol Motor Speedway. Fans can come out for a chance to meet Peters and take a lap around the custom-built off-road course.

On his 2012 win at Bristol Motor Speedway and almost repeating in 2013… “We’ve had two great races at Bristol (Motor Speedway) the past two seasons, winning one race and coming home second after leading a bunch of laps the second race. I’m confident that we’ll be able to have another successful race there this week.”

On short track racing at Bristol Motor Speedway… “Man I love going to Bristol (Motor Speedway). There’s nothing quite like good short track racing under the lights. I think the (NASCAR Camping World) Truck Series puts on a good show there, and the crowd is always great.”
