Tyler Hawn Goes Aflame in Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH, OntarioGoing into the feature poised for a good finish, Tyler Hawn would not have the night that he was hoping for as a broken brake line would end his night early.

Following a sixth place finish earlier this year at Peterborough Speedway, Tyler Hawn headed into this weekend poised to have another solid finish following some disappointment at Sunset Speedway. The night started off as Hawn would hope, posting a pair of solid performances in his heats to post a good starting spot for the feature.

Hawn would get off to a good start in the feature, running solid for the first bit of the event. However, the night would end early when a brake line would break, resulting in a small fire under the hood that would extinguish itself shortly after. Hawn would retire from the event, posting a 14th place finish.

Special thanks to Fox’s Bakery and Deli, TSS Top Shops, Belt Conveyor Guarding, Backwoods Maple Syrup, Daly Custom Fab, WriteitOutLoud.com and Stewart Carriers Limited for their continued support.

The next race for the OSCAAR Super Late Models is the Velocity 250 at Sunset Speedway on September 27th and 28th. The Super Late Models will qualify on Saturday, before running a 50 lap feature. Hawn will be looking for a top-10 finish in hopes to turn the recent disappointment that the team has experienced around.
