FORD RACING DID YOU KNOW? … KANSAS 2 EDITION

DID YOU KNOW? … Roush Fenway Racing has registered all four of Ford Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories at Kansas Speedway.  Greg Biffle leads the way with two wins (2007,’10) while Roush has also celebrated triumphs with Mark Martin (2005) and Matt Kenseth (2012).

DID YOU KNOW? … Even though a Ford did not win the inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 30, 2001, it still dominated the final results with seven drivers finishing in the top 11.  Both Team Penske drivers – Ryan Newman (2nd) and Rusty Wallace (4th) – had Top-5 finishes while Ricky Rudd (3rd), Mark Martin (6th), Robert Pressley (7th), Kurt Busch (9th) and Jeff Burton (11th) also had solid efforts.

DID YOU KNOW? … Missouri native Carl Edwards is still looking for his first win at what he calls his hometown track, but in 14 starts he has an average finish of 10.5.  That figure includes a second-place finish in 2008 when he intentionally bounced off the turn four wall in an attempt to beat Jimmie Johnson to the checkered flag.

DID YOU KNOW? … There are two current Ford Racing drivers with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins to their credit at Kansas Speedway.  Greg Biffle (2007 and 2010) has two wins in his No. 16 3M Fusion while Brad Keselowski won in 2011 when Penske Racing was affiliated with Dodge.
