Tyler Hawn Finishes Seventh in OSCAAR Feature at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario – This past weekend, Tyler Hawn would post his best Sunset Speedway finish of the season as he would cross the line in the seventh spot.

Hawn started off the day solidly, finishing fourth in his first heat before posting a second in the second heat after leading the first four laps.

As a result of his solid qualifying effort, Hawn would start ninth in the 50 lap feature. He would run in the ninth position through the first 16 laps, escaping trouble with the caution flag flying five times. On the lap 16 restart, Hawn was able to get by Corey Jones to move into eighth before the caution flew once again at lap 20.

Once the green flag was back out, Hawn kept himself solidly in position in the middle of the pack, continuing to down the eighth spot till the seventh caution at lap 38. He then used the restart as the perfect opportunity to get by Glenn Watson to move into seventh before the caution waved again at lap 43. on the restart with seven laps to go, Watson was able to get back by, but Hawn was able to get by Rob Poole before the checkered flag waved to finish seventh.

As previously mentioned, this marks Hawn’s best Sunset Speedway finish of the year to date as the Hawn Motorsports continues to improve each week since their first appearance of 2014 at Barrie Speedway in June.

Special thanks to Fox’s Bakery and Deli, TSS Top Shops, Belt Conveyor Guarding, Backwoods Maple Syrup, Daly Custom Fab, WriteitOutLoud.com and Stewart Carriers Limited for their continued support.
