ADVANCE NOTES

·        Biffle at Texas

o   Biffle has led a total of 733 laps at Texas Motor Speedway, making Texas his best track for laps led.

o   In his 21 career Cup Series starts at the 1.5-mile track, Biffle has two wins, eight top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.  His average starting position is 12.3 with an average finishing position of 14.7.

·        The Car

o   The primary chassis RK-930 was brand new in Kansas where Biffle earned a 15th-place finish.

·        Earlier This Year At Texas

o   Biffle started fourth and was a factor inside the top five and top 10 for a majority of the race.  Some teams gambled pitting for just two tires before the final green-white-checkered restart, while Biffle took four tires.  Those who opted for two tires narrowly edged Biffle out of a top-five finish.  Biffle capped off an extended Texas race weekend with a sixth-place finish in his No. 16 Ford Fusion.

·        Ortho

o   Ortho will make its final of three appearances of the season on the No. 16 Ford this weekend at Texas.  Ortho was on the hood for a 10th-place finish at Atlanta and a 16th-place finish at Loudon.

Biffle on Texas:

“We tested at Texas a few weeks back and I feel like we made some gains that will benefit us this weekend.  Texas is a great track for us, I’ve had some success there and we had a strong run there earlier this year.  I’m hoping we can get the No. 16 Ortho Ford into victory lane.”

Puccia on Texas:

“Texas is a good track for us and last time there we ran in the top five almost all day long.  We went to Texas a few weeks ago and learned a few things that will help us this weekend.  We are looking to get us our first win of the season this weekend in Texas.  We feel really good about what we have and what we are bringing this weekend.”
