Race Rewind: Texas Motor Speedway… Timothy Peters kept his top-five streak alive after celebrating a win at Talladega Superspeedway and a second-place finish at Martinsville Speedway with a third-place effort at Texas Motor Speedway. This marks Peters’ best finish to date at the 1.5-mile race track.
TIMOTHY PETERS QUOTES:
On a Good Finish at Texas Motor Speedway… “I’m really happy with our results at Texas Motor Speedway. It’s a race track where I haven’t been able to get a good finish, so coming home third last weekend felt really great.”
On Racing at Phoenix International Raceway… “I’m looking forward to racing at Phoenix (International Raceway). It’s a short track so I feel like it really fits my driving style. We have a good streak of top-five finishes going; hopefully we can finish the last two races the same way.”
No. 77 NET10 Wireless
Toyota Tundra
This Week’s NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra at Phoenix International Raceway… Germán Quiroga will be competing in chassis No. 003 in the NASCAR 150 on Friday, Nov. 7 at Phoenix International Raceway. This is the same Toyota Tundra that he drove to a second-place finish at Gateway Motorsports Park in June of this season after leading five laps.
Quiroga at Phoenix International Raceway… Germán Quiroga has two previous NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Phoenix International Raceway. His best result is a 12th-place finish after qualifying 11th (November 2013) while competing for Red Horse Racing.
Race Rewind: Texas Motor Speedway… Germán Quiroga had an impressive run in the WinStar World Resort & Casino 350 at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. He advanced through the field after qualifying 15th, to lead for a total of 12 laps. He was running second when he spun his tires on the final restart of the night, finishing his night in the 17th-position.
GERMÁN QUIROGA QUOTES:
On Racing at Phoenix International Raceway… “Although my results at Phoenix (International Raceway) don’t show it, I really like racing there. It’s a short track that reminds me of the ones I raced on in Mexico, so I feel really comfortable there. Hopefully we can get a good finish this weekend.”
On Taking Chances in These Last Few Races… “I’ve definitely been racing for the win. I saw an opportunity to take the lead at Martinsville (Speedway) and I didn’t want to leave without trying to make that pass. I’ve been taking more risks lately, but we’re really eager to capture the checkered flag, and my team deserves that.”
