WELCOME, N.C. (November 7, 2014) – Richard Childress Racing (RCR) today announced that WESCO International, Inc. has renewed its sponsorship of Ty Dillon and the No. 3 Chevrolet team for the 2015 XFINITY Series season. WESCO is a leading provider of electrical, industrial, and communications MRO and OEM products, construction materials, and advanced supply chain procurement services.
“We’re proud of Ty’s accomplishments in both the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He has proven to be a true competitor with a winning spirit,” said John J. Engel, Chairman, President, and CEO of WESCO International, Inc. “We’ve had a successful relationship with RCR over the past three seasons working together to extend the reach for both WESCO and NASCAR with our customer base and partnering suppliers. We look forward to the 2015 season.”
Pittsburgh-based WESCO has been a sponsor of RCR and Ty Dillon in the Nationwide Series since 2012 and will continue the sponsorship in 2015, when XFINITY will become the Series premier sponsor. He is fifth in the driver point standings leading up to the final races at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend and in Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 15. He also is in the running for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year and NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver, an award determined by online fan votes.
“We are thrilled to extend this sponsorship into the 2015 season,” said Richard Childress, Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “WESCO has been a key partner in our Nationwide Series program. It has been an honor working with a company that puts such a strong emphasis on customer engagement and satisfaction. I’ve been able to meet many of their customers, employees and vendor-partners and see firsthand the strong relationships WESCO builds each day.”
