NSCS Qualifying

BRAD KESELOWSKI – No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion – “I’m not happy with fourth, but I’m happy with how strong we’ve been all day.  We had decent runs.  Our first qualifying run was really strong and then our second and third just weren’t quite where we wanted to be. I’m not sure what we were missing there, but we were close.”

JOEY LOGANO POST QUALIFYING PRESS CONFERENCE

JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion – YOUR THOUGHTS ON QUALIFYING? “We had an okay day today. I felt like we unloaded in race trim and had good speed in our car. It was pretty good and we kept committed to the bottom and trying to work down there and make that work for qualifying. We switched over to qualifying trim and the speed didn’t transfer. We were trying to go just as fast as we did in race trim to do that in qualifying trim. We just didn’t have the speed in practice. The 22 bunch kept their heads together, made good changes and found speed in the car. We were third in the first round and that surprised the heck out of me. I was just hoping to make it through the first round. We were able to rebound off a car that didn’t seem to be too fast in qualifying trim and qualified halfway decent there in ninth and will be able to race up from there. I feel my car was better in race trim than it was in qualifying trim for sure.”

DO YOU FEEL MORE OR LESS CONFIDENT ABOUT YOUR ABILITY TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP NOW? “I feel the same. I felt confident coming into this race track. After our test I felt it went well and we maybe felt we lost a bit after switching to qualifying trim but we are back. I feel about the same as I did when we walked in this morning with a positive attitude.”
