A LOOK BACK AT GMS RACING’S 2014 SEASON

Charlotte, N.C. (December 02, 2014)—It’s been an exciting year for GMS Racing, along with drivers Joey Coulter, Grant Enfinger, Spencer Gallagher, Max Gresham and Brandon Jones.

The 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season was one of transition as well as accomplishment for GMS Racing. Even amidst all of the new elements, GMS Racing worked tirelessly to remain consistent week-in and week-out.

In the team’s first season with a full-time entry in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, GMS Racing welcomed new partners, new paint schemes and some new venues. These new partners were featured on all of the GMS Racing teams. The No. 21 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Coulter featured Allegiant Travel as its primary sponsor and Vertx joined as associate sponsor on the truck for 2014. Once again driven by Gallagher, the No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado team welcomed the return of Allegiant Travel as the primary sponsor in addition to Alamo Rent A Car. Other new additions included the No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado team, driven by Jones, which included sponsorship of Russell and ColdZone Refrigeration.

The second-year NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team displayed natural proficiency at the new venues added to their race lineup in the full season.

Over the course of the 22-race season, Coulter posted three top-five finishes and 10 top-10 finishes. Coulter finished seventh in the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship standings, competing in his fourth full-time consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

During his first year with GMS Racing, Gresham posted one top-10 finish in his five-race limited schedule with the team. The driver of the No. 23 AmWINS Group, Inc. Chevrolet Silverado finished seventh at the Texas Motor Speedway in his season finale race with GMS Racing for the 2014 season.

Jones, a newcomer to GMS Racing in October and the driver of the No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado, entered two events under the GMS Racing banner, posting at 32nd result at the Martinsville Speedway and a 12th–place finish at the Phoenix International Raceway.

Gallagher produced solid results and offered much promise throughout the course of the 10-month season in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Racing Series, earning top-five finishes in both series. The Las Vegas native’s best effort in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season included a third-place result at the Talladega Superspeedway in October.

Gallagher earned his career-first ARCA Racing Series win at Kansas Speedway in October, celebrating his first victory with GMS Racing. The result was the third victory of the season for the team.

Enfinger finished second in the 2014 ARCA Racing Series championship, racking up six wins over the 20-race season, where he overcame adversity, and created milestones along the way. Enfinger claimed GMS Racing’s first team victory. The ARCA Racing Series season saw the two-car team post three wins and produce nine top-five finishes as well as 11 top-10 finishes among drivers Grant Enfinger, Spencer Gallagher and Scott Sheldon.

As GMS Racing looks ahead to the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Racing Series season, the team is motivated by its consistency and strong performance, as well as the new challenges the New Year will bring. GMS Racing will be reunited with Chevrolet as the iconic manufacturer seeks out their 200th win for the brand in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition.
