Mike Bliss Auto Club 400 Race Advance
News and Notes:
Going into Sunday’s Auto Club 400,Bliss will be making his eighth career start in the NSCS at Auto Club Speedway. The Oregon native has a best finish of 12th, which came back in 2005, with a ninth place finish in the Xfinity series back in 2010. Bliss started from the pole and won the 1997 event in the NCWTS, which was the first time the series visited the fast 2-mile oval.The 2001 NCWTS Champion will be pulling double duty this weekend, running for Tri-Star Motorsports in Saturday’s Xfinity race.
Mike Bliss on California: “California is a fun and tricky track. You can run almost anywhere from the bottom to the top against the wall now, which is nice for a driver. This is a perfect place to build on some of our momentum from Phoenix and get a good finish.”
Chassis Info: Crew Chief Clinton Cram will be bringing chassis 784 to serve as the primary car. This chassis previously ran in Atlanta three weeks ago. Chassis 742 will serve as the backup car.
