Buescher at Richmond International Raceway

Chris Buescher makes his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Richmond International Raceway on Friday night.  In his previous three starts, Buescher has two top-10s, with his best finish of seventh coming in this race last year.  He also finished 10th the last time the series visited the .75-mile track.  In his three starts, Buescher has completed all but two laps.

So far this season, Buescher leads the NASCAR XFINITY Series in both average finishing position (7.3) and the number of quality passes (398).  The sophomore in the NASCAR XFINITY Series has run inside the top-15 for 92 percent of the laps so far this season; 94 percent of which have been completed on the lead lap.  Buescher has completed all but one lap so far this season.

Buescher takes the week off from NASCAR Sprint Cup Series action, but will return to the No. 34 Ford Fusion for Front Row Motorsports in Talladega.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Roush Performance colors this weekend in Richmond.

Roush Performance Parts is a premier supplier and engineering services provider, most known for its line of high performance Mustang powertrain parts, including superchargers, cold air intakes and exhaust kits.  The list goes on to include a full line of wheels, tires, interior, grilles, graphics, service parts, accessories, drivetrain, cooling upgrades and more.  In addition to Mustang, Roush Performance Parts also offers performance upgrade packages for Ford F-150, Superduty and Focus.

Recapping Bristol

Buescher drove his No. 60 Roush Performance Parts Mustang to a third-place finish in the Drive to Stop Diabetes 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.  The finish was Buescher’s best finish at Bristol and put him in a tie for the NASCAR XFINITY Series points lead.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Richmond International Raceway

“I’m looking forward to this weekend.  I love short track racing, it’s what we all grew up on.  To be able to get back to it and rub a little bit and beat the bumpers off these things is always a good time.  Richmond puts on a good race, so it should be a good one for us.”
