ADVANCE NOTES
Buescher at Talladega Superspeedway

Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday.  Last season, Buescher started eighth and finished second.  In this season’s first restrictor plate race at Daytona International Speedway, Buescher finished second while pushing his Roush Fenway Racing teammate Ryan Reed to his first win.

So far this season, Buescher leads the NASCAR XFINITY Series in the number of quality passes, with 416, while holding an average running position inside the top-10.

In two ARCA Racing Series starts at Talladega Superspeedway, Buescher’s best start came in 2012 (second) and his best finish came in 2011 (fifth).

Buescher returns behind the wheel of the No. 34 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) for Front Row Motorsports this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.  Sunday’s race marks his fifth NSCS start this season.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Bit-O-Honey colors this weekend in Talladega.

The honey-flavored taffy and almond candy was first manufactured in 1924 and is now produced by Pearson Candy Company at their headquarters in St. Paul, Minn.

Recapping Richmond

Buescher battled a tight-handling Roush Performance Ford Mustang in last Friday night’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Richmond International Raceway to earn a 20th-place finish.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Talladega Superspeedway

“I’m getting a little more comfortable with drafting.  I think Talladega should be fun.  We are going back to a more typical format of qualifying, which takes a lot of stress away from the weekend.  Then we get into the race, and it’s the same deal; you stay out of trouble, keep it up front and keep the fenders on it, and you’ll be in good shape at the end.  We’ve been able to do that pretty well here.”
