RHODES RETURNS TO IOWA

NEWTON, Iowa – Harrison Rhodes will make his second start at Iowa Speedway in Sunday’s 3M 250 Xfinity Series race at the seven-eighths-mile track.Rhodes will drive the No. 0 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.

Rhodes finished 23rd in an Xfinity race at Iowa in 2013.

“Every driver likes running at Iowa,” Rhodes said. “You have to be fast, but you have to know how to work the field, too. It’s not just about speed. It’s a good short track.”

Nine races into his rookie season in Xfinity, Rhodes sits 24th in the driver point standings.

Practice is scheduled at Iowa at 10 a.m. and noon (ET) Saturday, with qualifying set for 5:45 p.m. The race, a rare Sunday start for the series, is set for 2 p.m.
