POOLE’S TIME TO SHINE IN IOWA

Brennan Poole’s stretch of five consecutive XFINITY Series races comes to a close this weekend at Iowa Speedway. This marks the first non-companion race weekend for the XFINITY Series in 2015. Through six starts, Poole has one top-10 and four top-15 finishes, with an average start of 17.7 and average finish of 16.7. Poole has two starts at Iowa in the ARCA Racing Series, earning a pole at the short track in 2012. Following the race in Iowa, Poole will return to the seat of the DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro at Dover International Speedway in two weeks.

MEET BRENNAN

On Sunday, May 17 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. CDT, Poole will sign autographs, along with several other XFINITY Series drivers, under the track’s main grandstand. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 150 fans in each line will receive wristbands.
RIDE WITH BRENNAN

Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Sunday’s 250-lap race. Tune into FOX Sports 1 for all the action from the 3M 250.

A LOOK BACK ON TALLADEGA

Poole started 17th at Talladega after the XFINITY Series teams ran two rounds of single-car qualifying in a new format instituted for superspeedway races. The 113-lap race was highlighted by several long green-flag runs. Within the first half of the race, Poole made his way into the top 10. Just past the halfway point of the race, Poole avoided a major crash on the frontstretch. Unfortunately, after running over debris, Poole’s team diagnosed an oil leak prior to the restart on the DC Solar Camaro. The team was forced to make repairs behind the wall and lost multiple laps. Poole returned to the track and settled for a 28th-place finish.
BRENNAN POOLE ON IOWA SPEEDWAY

“I really enjoy short-track racing and especially running at Iowa Speedway. I’ve had some success there in the ARCA Series, so hopefully that will help us out this weekend. [Crew Chief] Mike [Shiplett] and the guys have worked really hard to prepare a great race car for me. I think we have a good shot at bringing the DC Solar Camaro home with a great finish.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON IOWA SPEEDWAY

“Iowa is a very challenging track for both team and driver, but has similar characteristics to Richmond. Brennan has done a great job during his stint in the No. 42 car. He’s done really well on short tracks during his career, so we hope to continue that trend in Iowa. Since this is the first stand-alone race for the XFINITY Series this year, it will allow drivers like Brennan to be showcased more, which will make for a great weekend.”
